The incident unfolded around 8:40 p.m., when authorities were alerted to the theft at the supplier’s warehouse on Commerce Avenue in Antrim Township, Franklin County. The eggs, a hot commodity amid current market shortages, were lifted from the back of a trailer, highlighting a brazen operation executed under the cover of night.
This theft comes at a time when egg prices have soared, a consequence of an avian flu outbreak that has significantly impacted supply across the United States. The Consumer Price Index indicates egg prices have jumped by 36.8% since last year, with some stores in central Pennsylvania listing a dozen at $4.69 or more. The scarcity has led to sporadic shortages, making this theft not only a crime but a significant blow to local supply chains.
-Onijah Andrew Robinson, a 33-year-old American woman, reportedly refuses to leave Pakistan after a failed marriage plan. According to reports, Robinson flew to Karachi in October 2024 to marry 19-year-old Nidal Ahmed Memon, whom she had met online. However, upon arrival from the United States, Robinson’s plans to get married fell through after Memon’s family refused to approve the marriage, now leaving her stranded in Pakistan.

It’s reported that the American woman is in the country on a 30-day tourist visa, which has since expired and she is left with nowhere to stay. According to The Express Tribune, Robinson went to Memon’s home in the Garden area and found the family had vacated the property. Subsequently, she staged a sit-in outside the home and took shelter in the building’s parking area. Her actions have since caught the attention of locals and worldwide masses on social media. It’s reported that Robinson has received help from a non-governmental organization (NGO), which offered her a return ticket to the United States and financial support.
