- Dr. Choi (Brian Tee) deals with two MMA fighters who are brought into Chicago Med in bad shape.

Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) tasks Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt) with evaluating a patient as a possible heart recipient, while Jeff (guest star Jeff Hephner) makes a confession to Dr. Manning (Torrey DeVitto). Elsewhere, Dr. Stohl (guest star Eddie Jemison) returns to the hospital from his sabbatical leave and immediately offers up different medical opinion regarding the treatment of a patient under the care of Dr. Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss). April (Yaya DaCosta) discovers her TB medication may lead to further complications. Marlyne Barrett, Colin Donnell and Rachel DiPillo also star. Mekia Cox also guest stars.

Clearly respects his opponent, and doesn't want to actually kill or permanently harm the guy.
Indeed. I also love how Choi's and the brother's first reaction after dealing with the other guy shows that prejudice can come from both sides when it gets ingrained before the father gave the discharged guy room to speak.

The scene where the father invite the other guy to pray with them. One moment earlier the brother accused him and the guy got aggressive (“not my fault. We both wanted to win.”)
Next, the father walks out, looks at injuries his son delivered to the other fighter, and invites him to pray with them. The guy could not stop tears falling after that invitation. That says a lot about all the characters in this scene.
The father harboured no grudge against the opponent. It’s a terrible sport, my grandfather’s brother has dementia because of being hit so many times by opponents.
The best representation of Islamic beliefs and morals seen in most western entertainment I've seen in a long time.
As a follower who believes in allah and prophet muhamed (S.A.W) is his last prophet I am happy to see a perfect representation of my and my fellow brothers and sisters beliefs

Haven't caught the episode, but at a guess the 2nd MMA fighter Cyrus' head injury got worse and he's gone into a coma. The 1st angrier MMA fighter Ricky's been discharged from the hospital, but returned because he was worried about Cyrus.

there's other stuff that's alot worse. at least boxing, MMA, and other combat sports are legal with rules and certain safety measures in place. at least it's not underground stuff where literally "anything goes" and there's little to no rules.
