So just a little clarification, we actually have seen the white haired monk like person who met Sukuna at the end of this episode before. Their gender is pretty ambiguous. But they had a blink and you'll miss it cameo in S1. And then appeared again when the annoying sword hand guy appeared in episode 10 of this season. Though to be fair, they only had like two lines. So it makes sense that you wouldn't really remember them. This is the first time we're getting their name though. Uraume. And at the very least, they seem to be acquainted with Sukuna.
Kusakabe (the guy that was with panda) despite not having a cursed technique is in fact strong. He is the one Mei Mei said achieved the grade 1 title without a technique and he might be one of the strongest grade 1, or at least with the most jujutsu knowledge. He just doesnt believe in himselve and his own strenght and is more pesimistic (or maybe realistic) than the rest. Also the subtitles were a bit weird in some parts... but they are not bad. Love your reactions.
Touji took his own life since he was only able to regain consciousness for that moment 😅 remember that in those moments he was nothing more than a killing machine, that is, he did not think or use strategies or anything and he only persistently sought to fight against the opponent stronger so that the container breaks (which in this case is the body of the grandson of the old woman who summoned it). Toji, upon recovering his memory at that moment, asked Megumi her last name to see if it belonged to that of his family, who are the Zen'nin or his wife who is Fushiguro since he did not know what Gojo did (since remember that it was Toji who told him about Megumi) and why did he take his life? It is something that you realize quickly and it is that Touji understood that he only regained consciousness for that moment so he decided to take his own life since he knew that if he didn't he would end up killing his son.
The animation is actually probably among the best in the entire season, if I’m being serious, not sloppy at all. The simplified artstyle allows for much smoother movement
Here's a fact and it is that only Gojo (and of course Sukuna) could beat Jogo in a fight 😅 in fact at this moment in history there is no sorcerer who could stand up to Jogo, if Sukuna had not done anything Jogo would have finished everyone, that's why Sukuna told him "if instead of thinking about it from the beginning you had burned everything until you met Satoru Gojo you would have fulfilled your plan" and that is because Jogo has a bowl instead of teaming up with the other curses and with The fake Geto from the beginning could have burned everything until he ran into Gojo and he would have already won even if he was destroyed by Gojo👍 and if Jogo has always been very powerful but you know, he faced Gojo and now Sukuna who are extremely powerful, and here is something curious, Sukuna tells him that "in all my thousand years of existence and having faced humans, sorcerers, curses and evil sorcerers you are the strongest so far", I mean he recognized his strength 🤔 who is he supposed to be? The villain praised him and then Gojo the "hero" humiliated and despised him.
everyones so quick to shit on kusakabe for not wanting to go underground but i know if everyone was in his position they wouldn't want to go down there either LOL, i understand him
Who do you mean by everyone? Not the people that work as jujutsu sorcerers, which is what he's supposed to be. The fact is that he doesn't have to do that job if he doesn't like risking his life (Nanami left working as a sorcerer, remember?). But he chooses to do it and get a paid a lot of money for it, whilst trying to shirk his responsibilities.
The Animation isn't sloppy, and it's like that on purpose. They simplified the style in this fight to allow for more fluid action, because obviously it's harder to draw fluid animation when you have a lot of detail and not much time to make the episode.
Kusakabe is a first grade sorcerer of course he can do something. That puts him on the level of Nanami, Mei Mei and Todo. He is just more realistic than them when it comes to his chances against actual spécial grades lmao
As far as I know, Brain Geto was supposed to be a surprise. We knew Geto was dead because of the JJk 0 movie, and didn't know how he "survived." As for the Uraume person, we saw them for a few scenes in season 1, but not enough to get to know them at all. Things will slowly get revealed as the episodes go on. As an anime only, I actually kinda like that aspect of the show.

Thank you for that character lore and explanation! It really helps us feel more connected to this anime! So stoked to watch the next episode!!

love how u randomly spell toji as touji sometimes
Just to clarify, kusakabe may be a “coward” but he’s far from weak. He’s a grade 1 sorcerer.
