It's crazy how things connect in life. I remember being 12 years old watching "Clones" with Akira the Don and Bashy 200+ times on NewGrounds, my favourite song/animation. 12 years later I'm going through JBP videos and start listening to these before I suddenly realize it's the same guy. When I was a kid I loved animation, now I'm trying to mature and get a handle on alcoholism, depression and disorganization, and it's the same guy inspiring me. Great mix Akira!!
I almost never comment on youtube, but man, your comment got me. Fucking nostalgia with the newgrounds, and made me think how we are all learning together and growing up over the years thanks largely to this wonderful thing that is the internet, we can connect it all and filter out what makes the most sense, collectively. I found this video through JBP reccommendations but left a huge Akira the Don fan !

I have travelled with your music for some time now to return to this and it remains fresh, vital and important. Thank you. And hello to all the listeners. You are ... way more powerful.
I've been following Jordan Peterson since the summer of 2017. His words lived in the back of my mind and slowly chipped the reasoning behind my fervent escapism, and I started to enjoy it less and less. For a little bit I thought I was getting depressed. I realized that what was happening was that I was waking up to the terrible wreck that my life was becoming. I started to "set my life in minimal order," and all else followed. Now, I'm 15 months sober, learning a new highly marketable skill (web development). There's a lot more about my life I'd like to change but I love that idea of "minimal order" and it's helped me make the progress I have. I trust that it will continue to act as a wonderful guiding principle in my quest to be rid myself of bad habits and build better ones. This mix hits me hard, and fast, with all of those things that I've absorbed over the last 2.5 years that allowed me to make those changes and completely overwhelmed me the first few times I listened to it. Thanks, Akira, you did an amazing job condensing Jordan Peterson's message into a straight banging mix.

"If you look long enough into the abyss, past when the abyss looks into you, you see who you could become. The form of the great ancestral figures, nested inside the catastrophe of life. Hello again! This composition is what I always go to for motivation. “What would you be like” and “deadwood” hit me hard and make feel like I want to be better.
Just found your interview with Jordan and I’m producing music myself and also a fan of his. Thank you so much for this man. 🙏 made my night. The wave is such a deep song and juxtaposition of his words he may not have even communicated that as strongly in person but you took it to a new level. I love how you take the main points of his talks and turn them into the hook, I think Jordan makes a great “feature” for the spoken because he uses so many metaphors. Really great stuff. Your reverence and respect for him shows in your work here. 👌
Akira The Don i really like your singing on this one and how you left theo's giggling in in the drinking song. This is good stuff man, thanks for being you

Much as I love Bob Dylan's guitar in "Make it Beautiful," I gotta say, my favorite is the Drinking Song. Great work, Akira.
Actually Nico. Thanks!!!
I can imagine buying a burned copy on the bus for $10.00.

Hello again! This composition is what I always go to for motivation.
“What would you be like” and “deadwood” hit me hard and make feel like I want to be better.

Inspiring and creative audio! I also really dig this graphic of JBP looking like a straight G. 😎
More than who you are is legit my bop. Still hoping for that J O D O W A V E !
I'm in love with the Drinking Song Akira! Definitely blasting this whenever I get the chance!
LOVE G!
This is an excellent JBPWave. My favorite by far. Espcially liked the playfullness of the drinking song.
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
This is pretty amazing stuff, i love a good hiphop beat with some profound lyrics. Theres not too much of that left in the world anymore.
Thank you Fyuesiy 🌊🙏🌊
Wow You're Oppressed is fuckin amazing!:D Awesome work man

Akira The Don i really like your singing on this one and how you left theo's giggling in in the drinking song. This is good stuff man, thanks for being you

Alcohol..it’s a hell of a drug..but the problem is...that it’s a great drug.

PREACH
This is truly an original work of art. It’s carefully constructed to both be both educational and entertaining. As a recovered alcoholic, I particularly enjoyed the “drinking song.” 😂😂👏
Getting towards 50 minutes in and I just keep becoming more and more impressed.... Well done Akira! The composition just keeps getting better!
