How to play Immolation - Close to a World Below (guitar lesson)

- "Close to a World Below"........one of the best Death Metal song ever composed by a band, and this is the reason why I decided to make a video lesson of this track!!
I don't know if I play the song exactly the way Robert Vigna does, because I don't use tabs (don't know if they exist for this track) and I found all the guitar parts by ear, anyway I think it's very close to the original track and I hope to be helpful to all those who would like to play this Death Metal Masterpiece with their guitar.
Obviously it took me a lot of time for making this video and to write the guitar chords, so I don't think I'll make other video lessons for a while.
On this video you'll find only the rhythm guitar parts, but if you want to see also the guitar solo parts, you can check out my first video that I made for this track:

Immolation is one of the few bands that use 7th and major 7th shapes in metal, and how they use them sound so damn eerie.
My favourite song with them. Possibly the heaviest metal song ever written. Great job with your lesson. Keep it up!

But I continue to post video covers because it is an incentive to do more and different songs from old and new bands!

Thanx, no I don't have a 7 string guitar and don't know if I'll ever buy one.
I like to have a lot of guitars with all different tuning. So I can play covers without changing the original tune, and that's the reason why I got all those guitars!

Those left behind on dawn of possession is another song I’ve been trying to figure out.
Your finger diagrams are upside down. The low string should be at the bottom. I was well confused with the tuning at the beginning until I realised. Is this because you are left handed? Thanks for showing us some Immolation though.
I use a Samsung Full HD HMX-H320BP/EDC. While I composed the file of the guitar chords with Photodraw (it's an old microsoft for windows XP software).

Don`t bother with lessons! I would rather listen every three - four days a good cover (for sure), than a lesson every month!
