Slayer kind of accidentally invented death metal. If they had blast beats and growled vocals, they'd basically be a death metal band a lot of the time.

Halsey Marcoux why are they retiring tho? Ive seen them twice, in 2012 and 2013, but they seemed to be doing alright.
They extended their tour a while back, I saw them in Asheville NC in October. One of the last shows before the LA Forum.
