Sir you are a Shinning Gem among the Inspirational and guiding flicker of this uncertain tunnel of Civil service exams.
Thanks a lot sir, i got my answer how to justify my gap, thank you very much sir👍👍👍👍
I was so much worried about this question. Because i have so much gap in my academic years.
I completed my 11th in 2011 after that i left studies and was working in my fathers workshop. But now i have decided to start my study again and i intend to join civil services. After watching this video i got an idea about how to address this gap question druing interview.. I know still 3 years left to give the exam and it is very long journey anything can happen in between this 3 years. But still i thought to write what i felt so i wrote this comment here.

Hello Sir,
I have some doubts and I need your kind suggestion.
I graduated in 2015 (B.Tech with Computer Science). I cleared Mains this year (second attempt). While filling my DAF, just to cover this 3 years gap, I mentioned that I worked as a JAVA and HTML trainer (Self-employed) from 2015 to 2017, actually I did nothing like that. I myself put one imaginary name of coaching center with address of my uncle's place in the city, 15 KM away from the town where i reside as somebody had suggested me that the UPSC does not ask for any proof for self-employment or freelance work.
Now my doubts are-
1. Does the UPSC or DoPT or the allotted service department ask for some proof or verify these kind of work-experiences or jobs?
2. Do I need to mention this in the attestation form as well? Attestation form asks to furnish information about 'appointments'. Do self-employment and freelance-work fall under the category of 'appointments'?
3. If I need to mention this in attestation form too, then will I face trouble during police-verification if I finally get selected? Does the Police verify about work-experience of this sort or asks for some kind of proof or something?
Query kafi lengthy ho gayi sir. I know it's quite a mess. But Interview date is heading and I am quite tensed. Sorry for this nuisance. Plz help me about this.
Thank You.. ☺

Sir what if their is gap in academics, like i have gap of one year during my degree and 2 years gap during diploma
Sir plzz make a video about interview.. How a candidate should tackle it if he has no extra curricular activities in his life no prizes no scholarships etc.
Hello sir,
I have questions I completed my graduation in 2012 after ai started learning foreign language and then after two years I got job in PG college as foreign language teacher along with that I started my own institute of foreign language.. And then I moved to IT company i started working as translator in Japanese IT Company.. And now after this total 9 years span, I started UPSC study... It was my inner voice but after graduation I was unable to start the UPSC bcos got bothered by my family..
I think I have valid reason..
What do you think sir???
Please start English News of current affairs
Actually I resigned my previous job just after six months of joining, due to health complications. (it took me two years to recover, sir ) Can I state this actual reason when they ask about career gap? Also, should I specify the exact health condition myself or only say when they ask me the specific health condition.
Kindly help sir. 🙏

What if a gap is also b/w graduation n diploma
Sir I have my BPSC interview, I graduated in 2014 with an engineering degree. I prepared for upsc. I could not even clear Prelims of upsc in 4 attempts. Somewhere I lacked in strategy. I have done no job nothing in this 6 years, not even married. I just studied. I am not a slow learner. I was just learning the wrong way. If they ask me have you appeared for upsc in bpsc Interview, is it necessary to answer and tell them details?
Sir can I tell them which is true that initially after engineering I tried what others try, preparing for GATE which was not my calling. And then I always had it back in mind that after gate I will enter civil services because that’s where I can do public service, where I want to be. I even tried a coaching start up to teach maths physics in my home town, that was not suitable to me. So I decided to come to civil services full time. My main question is if they ask me, how many attempts at UPSC do I need to answer and answer exact? In my BPSC Interview
What if there is 5+ years gap between last attempt and next attempt...??
Thanks so much dhristi ias.
Please Optional ka chayan kaise kare...uspe ek video banaye.
