You have to watch "Godsmack Drum Battle"...battle between lead singer Sully Earna and the drummer Shannon Larkin!..both AMAZING PERCUSSIONISTS!!!..hell of a show!.Saw it live..mind blowing!🤯
Absolutely!!
I saw it live myself once. Best show i ever went to. I won back stage meet and greet tickets from the local radio station and the guys were cool as hell.
Sully started as the drummer
Saw them live in the early 2000s, i think the album they were touring on was called Awake(could be wrong).
And when they did that bit, it was so awesome. Sully's smaller rig, rolled out onto the stage, and both dudes went to town....
Great stuff. Plus, the cartoon backstage hijinks, shown on the jumbo-trons, just before the band came out were equally entertaining.
Yes!!!!
You already did a Godsmack song. Unforgettable, with all the kids which was from their most recent album.
This song is from their debut self titled album in 1998. And was written about a Wes Craven film called The Serpent and the Rainbow.
Next , try I Stand Alone from the Scopion King movie.
I absolutely love the song I STAND ALONE it’s probably my favorite song by godsmack
Actually it was 1997
@@WizardPandora Recording for the album started in 1997, but it wasn't released until Aug 1998
The movie was so-so but the soundtrack to The Scorpion King is KILLER. Bands like Godsmack, P.O.D., Drowning Pool, System of a Down... so many great songs.
Some of my favs from it: "I Stand Alone" Godsmack
"Streamline" System of a Down
"Only the Strong" Flaw
@@chriso6719 not according to my data it says July 28th 1997
Please do their song “Awake” you’ll love it. It’s hard in sound…but the right kind of hard, the kind Amber would like.
if I am not mistaken isn't that the song that the Navy used in its commercials?
Bad magic is my favorite off the Awake album although I like all the songs that album😁
Mansfield Prison shout out!
I love their debut album.♥️
serenity
This band rocks... and if you don't mind a few explicit lyrics, dive into "When Legends Rise", "Something Different", "1000hp", "Cryin' like a bitch", and "Under Your Scars". They will get your blood pumping! Great football warmup tunes.
Cryin Like a Bitch is a perfect song in today's social climate!
Under Your Scars is one of my favorites. I listen to it at least once a day.
Theres too many great godsmack songs to list, don't even bother trying :)
Cryin Like a Bitch is fantastic!☮💜
guys you did Godsmack with "unforgettable'' with the high school kids it was one of the greatest reactions you need to revisit that!! much love and appreciation you kiss freak in Sarasota Florida Eric 💚 the shirt I sent you looks good Amber!!! 🌻
Another excellent reaction. Please check out, 'I Stand Alone', 'Awake' and 'Vampires' by them, all great tracks.
Great picks!
@@douglasskinner6348 Thanks, I think that it gives a good overview of Godsmack's stuff.
I love the power behind "I Stand Alone."
@@scottvanhille5688 Me too, great energy.
oh hell yeah! This is my favorite Godsmack song. Dark and creepy, yet catchy as heck. This was one of their earliest tunes, and you've also done "Unfortettable" from 2020 (so... NOT a new artist, lol), but there are ton of other great songs sandwiched in between. For your next Godsmack outing, I nominate "Awake", "I Stand Alone", "Straight Out of Line", "Speak", and "Whiskey Hangover". The lead singer's name is Sully Erna.
Somewhat disappointed you didn't remember them. Yet understand with so much you do. Under your scars by godsmack is one for the feels.
Godsmack is a band you love. They did the performance with the school kids that you two absolutely loved and was the reaction that got me to subscribe. I loved how into the whole thing both of you were. Godsmack can be a tougher band for some because the variation in their work but they are definitely worthy of more reactions. I think you would really dig their song "Legends rise". I hope you give it a look.
Exactly what i was about to say
I don’t think they’re saying it’s their first time hearing Godsmack. It seems to me like they’re saying this is the first time hearing this particular song. I could be wrong though
7 months ago you guys reacted to Godsmack “Unforgettable” … They had a school participating with them for their video. It’s incredible and you guys loved it.
Like many people have probably already commented, you've listened to Godsmack before. If you want to check out more Godsmack songs, I'd recommend "Whatever", "Awake", "Straight Out Of Line", "I Stand Alone", "Bulletproof", and "1000hp". They've also recorded some interesting cover songs like "Good Times, Bad Times" (originally by Led Zeppelin) , "Come Together" (originally by The Beatles), and "Rocky Mountain Way" (originally by Joe Walsh).
I love their version of Come Together. I jam the crap out of it. I am a huge fan of Godsmack. No bad songs
M-tv used to have a show called “Fear” where they would blindfold contestants and put them into a “alleged” haunted place. Then they would watch a short video talking about the history of the place and all of the deaths that occurred. They would then send everyone to different locations inside the place and they would have to do a series of “tests” and see if they would get any type of response. There were no camera crews filming them, just these contraptions that would film themselves. They also had cameras hidden around the place. But anyhow, this song was the theme song for the show. Since the song has that “creepy vibe” it was perfect for the show. You should check out a few episodes of that, too bad they took it off the air.
This is what I think of when I hear this song. It really creeps me out, but I love it! And I loved “Fear”.
How do you not remember reacting to Godsmack?? You even said they were your new favorite band!! 😂😂😂
Godsmack is one of my favorite bands of all time!! You need check out "Awake" next. It's a great song from their second album.
The singer is a phenomenal drummer also. I believe that he played drums on this entire album. He's very interested in world percussion. Check out the Godsmack drum battle "Batalla de Los Tambores". He and their drummer have a drum battle!
Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is one of THE BEST DRUM BATTLES EVER! Thanks for posting this-I was going to-lol!
He's also an accomplished guitarist, and plays guitar on alot of their tracks and in live performances
I think the word Amber was looking for is 'primal'. The drums sound just so primal.
Already did a Godsmack, Unforgettable ,…..Now you need to do the Godsmack drum battle
Did you know that they stole their name from an Alice In Chains song?
Sully is a Witch. the Coven in the video is Cabot Kent. Sullys High Priestess is laurie cabot
You have actually already done one other from this band, it was the song Unforgettable with the kids. Since Jay is a football coach, you should check out the video for Godsmack's How Legends Are Made. There is also a Voodoo Too & a couple of their ballads are Serenity & Scars.
I adore this song. I believe this was inspired by Wes Craven’s cult classic “The Serpent and the Rainbow.” An excellent movie to check out on your other channel guys!
The video is inspired by the movie but the song is s tribute to our religion, hence why Laurie Cabot cameos as the High Priestess.
He's my cousin.
Don't bury me I'm still alive.
@@Anne-pv9cb That’s very cool.
This song is about heroin
@@LadyAragorn1 I can well believe that. The words are absolutely aligned with that as well.
You guys did Godsmck unforgetable a while back that had all the kids in it.Sully and crew are awesome!
You reacted to them! Remember the video Unforgettable where the band taught the kids in the arts school how to perform their song?
Sully Erna is the singer. You have reacted to Godsmack before. You did Unforgettable with all the school kids.
Godsmack are such a dope band !! I love them. One of my top 10 bands. Love their cover of Come Together and the great tune Cryin Like A Bitch -- Sully is such a talented and gifted musician and frontman.
One of my most favorite bands!! They were amazing in concert!! The lead singer Sully Erna has solo music also that is really good! He is also an amazing musician and pretty sexy LOL
Yep, awesome in concert. Sully was great solo in concert too.
Y’all already did their song “Unforgettable” and it was one of your favorites! This is an earlier song from Godsmack and really shows the diversity they bring
Godsmack's most popular song, "Voodoo" was written by lead singer Sully Erna and bass player Robbie Merrill. Sully is a member of the Wiccan religion and its influence on this song is obvious. It uses many percussion instruments used in tribal celebrations.
Sully used the opportunity to set the record straight about his religion. "The most common misconceptions about witchcraft is that too many people think that it's Satanic," he told MTV News. "And there's no demons or devils that exist in Wicca, so therefore, you can't worship something that doesn't exist. It's simply about the belief of the Earth, natural herbs, and healing remedies that come from the Earth. A lot of spiritual beliefs, karma, stuff like that. So it's pretty pure, in a religion. It's pretty harmless." -Song facts-
Came here to say the same thing, but you beat me to it and said it better than I could.
Yup - that's Laurie Cabot and members of their coven.
Portions of this video were filmed in my home town of Salem Massachusetts. The video features Laurie Cabot and members of her coven at that time. Laurie is an American Witchcraft high priestess. 👍
They're not new to the channel. I don't remember the name of the song, but they got a ton of kids from a school to participate in the song. Like 100 kids all playing drums, guitar and singing all at once
Love this song my song got hearing when he was in high school. We used to play this song full blast we were rocking out. Thank you again. The first place I heard this song on a program on MTV.
You guys reacted to this band already. It is called Unforgettable and its the video with all the kids playing along with their instruments and singing in a high school setting.
I absolutely love this song. It’s got this kind of darkly tribal feel to it, like a shadowy ritual cloaked in rock music.
😂😂 That’s because it is. Like literally ! Love it !
YES!!! U guys finally did some Godsmack! Go down this rabbithole for sure, can't wait for more...
PLEASE check out “under your scars” by Godsmack….by far their best song
And the drum battle between the drummer of the band and the lead singer is dope dope doppeeeeeeeeee
Whiskey Hangover is a must!!! Sully Erna is so in to his performance, never a disappointment!
The first Godsmack reaction y’all did with the youth was the best!!! I’m glad you rediscovered them.
This is not the first Godsmack you watched. You did a reaction to their song "Unforgettable". It's the one they did with kids in a school and you both really liked it
several months ago you did a Godsmack video "Unforgettable" where they had the students help with the video. Same band. You would also LOVE "Under your Scars" which they did with special needs kids. Also the drum battle is EPIC!
You guys were mesmerized from start to finish! Loved this reaction!
"I Stand Alone" "Under Your Scars" and "Crying Like a B*tch" are some good ones too.
You guys did a Godsmack song before, it was unforgettable where they are teaching all the kids. Great song!
You did unforgettable by these guys. It’s actually one of my favorite reactions from this channel. I can’t believe you forgot.
“Touché”, “Awake”, “I Stand Alone”, “Greed” and “Serenity” are musts. Godsmack is a killer band. 🤘🏼😎
I saw them live in 2004 at the (then) Ford Theater in OKC when they opened for Metallica and it was absolutely incredible!!! My teenage son worked and saved the money so that we could go see them for Mother's Day - best gift I ever got!!! Godsmack and Metallica are MUST SEE live bands. Their entire debut album is a banger. but "Moonbaby", "Keep Away", "Whatever" and "Get Up Get Out!" are especially great. 🤘Rock On!🤘 Kelly
I haven't heard this song in forever. Thanks for making this video.
One of my favorite songs from them Is 'I STAND ALONE'.. Also AWAKE, SERENITY too♡♡♡
I watch several reactions to songs channels but you two are the best! enjoy your comments and reactions. Have a great 4th!!!
You did one with GodSmack "unforgettable" where they did with the school , Loved how emotional you guys got with that song !!
I love this song! Inspired by Wes Cravens the serpent and the rainbow. Jay I know you love drums you should check out godsmacks batallia de Los timbores. A 7 minute drum battle
Omg 17 year old me was obsessed with Godsmack 🖤🤘🖤
Love the drums and bass on this -- one of my favorite Godsmack songs! Good choice!!
Did you know that they stole their name from an Alice in Chains song?
Godsmack formed in 1995, but the local radio station in Boston, WAAF, started playing a demo of their song "Whatever" in early 1997, which got them wide exposure. In fact, when I was going to Worcester State University in 1998, they played a gig for a cookout that was put on there before they broke into the bigtime.
You guys did the" Unforgettable" video with the kids getting to play and sing with them
First of all, Dam Amber looking 🔥🔥🔥 - One of my favorite song with a great video - so happy to see that you both liked it too
Whenever you dip into grunge, I always bring up Love, Hate, Love by Alice in Chains the live version. You guys will be blown away by Layne's voice.
This.
I recently saw a clip from 80s daytime tv of a debate. Layne was in the audience and commented on behalf of free speech. Hell yeah. I think it may have been in response to the "explicit" labels on records.
This is my first time WITH Y'ALL hearing Godsmack! I like it! Great reaction ❤️
Love U 2! 🙏🏽 to you and yours 🙏🏽 🙏🏽🙏🏽
The Rob Squad has already reacted to Godsmack. I know y'all do a lot of music, but I thought you might remember them. They did the song Unforgettable with a bunch of school kids.
I was wondering why you rang the new artist alert bell since I remember your covering a Godsmack song months ago. It was the one where they showed the school kids performing on all kinds of instruments. Anyway, this is a great band and you should cover more of them. For another type of sound from this band,, you should check out their album "The Other Side" which is their all-acoustic take on their music. Some songs to check out - Running Blind, Re-Align, Asleep, and Keep Away. For some hard stuff - I Stand Alone, Straight Out of Line, and Awake.
Gotta do more of these guys. I love all their music.
They did a remake of a Zeppelin song called Good times Bad times which is really good
OMG...you actually looked something up...GOOD FOR YOU! There's nothing wrong with looking up info about these songs. It's so much more respectful to the artist and the song for you to actually know what you are listening to and doesn't take away from the reaction. During your reactions so many times you get so much wrong and don't talk about the important things you should talk about. Please do more of this so you give proper credit to these great bands and artists.
One of my favorite bands. Saw them live outdoor venue. They were awesome
the artistry and they always made really cool deep cohesive arrangements 😌
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS SONG!!!! Definitely on my playlist...especially on a road trip....
Not a new group. You did Unforgettable months ago. But, glad you got back to them!! They have several different sounds. Need to explore more!!! And check out their drum battle video!!
I absolutely love this song and it is on constant play during October at my house (okay, more like starting just after July 4, when spooky season begins for me). And Amber, just wanted to say that you look like a movie star today!
Love watching you guys. Come home every day after work, and relax on the couch and watch you're 3 new videos. But the way live the haircut Amber !!!
One of my favorite bands!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE Sully!!! So many good songs. Bad Religion, Awake, Greed, I Stand Alone……many MANY MANY more!!! They are awesome, & they rock HARD!!!! Love you guys, as always!! 🥰
Not a new band so take back the ding of the bell. They did one of y'alls favorite songs. The one with GodSmack teaching and performing with the school kids.
GODSMACK all day baby!! Lots of absolutely great songs to experience with this band. A great path to take!!
Jordan and Amber, looking tough, and thank you for rocking one of my favorite Bands Godsmack!!
Amber, your haircut looks amazing!! You both look Amazing!
God bless you and yours.
I hope you guys will play some JACKYL sometime. I stand alone and The Lumberjack for starters. They both have a video, you will love
Yes as others have said, you've already done a Godsmack song. But an interesting note about Voodoo here... Godsmack is considered nuMetal or Post Grunge, and their music is usually harder hitting than this. Voodoo was just one of those strange one-off songs on an album that didn't have the same vibe or style as the others. It's off their debut album and became very popular due to its easy to sing along with lyrics and vocal tone. I haven't been much of fan of theirs since their 4th album, and I can still remember 95% of the lyrics of this song because of just how eerie and catchy they are.
I think the message behind the song regarding the snakebite into the veins is Heroin. Or some injected drug of some sort.
My very first tattoo was the Godsmack sun! Love them!
This is a new one for me, I have barely remembered hearing of them, but I do not recall listening to their music too much. Another one added to your list of music! Great! Enjoyed your reaction! ☮💕👍👏
Godsmack ~ "Drum Battle"....!
Gotta do The Enemy, I Stand Alone, and Awake. Really great tunes from Godsmack
Man I ❤️Godsmack. I’ve seen them in concert like 10 times. More Godsmack! I thought y’all reacted to one of their songs? Definitely react to the Drum Battle. It’s so freaking awesome! More songs to
React to: Sick of Life, Vampires (I would watch that live), I’d you liked Voodoo, I think you’d like Spiral, Moon Baby, Awake, Greed, Bad Religion, and Bulletproof. (Just a few lol)
Did Amber get a hair cut? I like it 😁
34 and never been to a concert but I would probably go see these guys. My favorite band 100%
Oh wow 😳 have not heard this before it was really good
Under your scars is another song of theirs that is great and shows how they give back to others.
Great group, glad you're finally listening to them. Please listen to more 🙏💜
Drums are out of this world.🥁🥁 Can't help but groove along. Very grunge for sure. Glad you enjoyed.
Buckets of Maple Syrup love from Canada ❤️ ❤️ 🇨🇦🇨🇦
I'd love some true blue maple syrup from Canada 🇨🇦 🇺🇸 much love and respect from Oklahoma USA 🇺🇸 🙏 ❤️
@@ChanelStuff Thanks Chanel. Hope you're having a great July 4th weekend. 👍✌️🇨🇦🇺🇸
met these guys years ago , hung out with them backstage , really nice people!
Sully Erna is of the Wiccan religion and was initiated into it by Lauri Cabott who is the old blonde lady in the video. This is a Wiccan banishing ritual. So so amazing.
This is a band I have been waiting a long time to see people react to. Godsmack is an absolutely awesome band. Please do more. I could name several songs that would open this rabbit hole. I'm sure others already have.
Not new to you. One of my favorite reactions is your Unforgettable reaction. Glad you got back to them, many more good songs to try.
One of my all time favorites, glad yall liked it!!!!!!
If you haven't done the Godsmack Drum Battle HD you really need to! It is incredible!!
i know this vid is old but in case it hasn’t been mentioned, godsmack started out as an Alice in Chains cover band, hence the name referenced after “God Smack” by Alice in Chains, another awesome song :)
This was the theme song to an MTV reality show called "Fear" in the late 90s. It was goofy but fun, kind of a guilty pleasure show. You can watch episodes on YT. Young folks sent to creepy locations filming themselves doing dares.
You did Unforgettable with all the kids
The first time I heard this song was when they used it as the main theme song to the MTV reality show "Fear" back in the late 90s.
LOVE this reaction!! I'm not a really big fan of metal, but I'm going to dive right into Godsmack!! Thank you for showing me something new!!!
Love Godsmack, Great band.
These guys are my 73 yo Mom's favorite band to see LIVE! 🔥🤘🏽🔥🤘🏽🔥😎
Last count, she's seen them five times.
Love Godsmack, everything they do is amazing..
Your videos make me smile a lot. Thank you. 🙂
"I blame it on reading Goosebumps way too young." That's great cause I was the same way I loved them and still have a few.
I even turned my sister-in-law on who never watches reaction videos to your reaction to Godsmack "unforgettable" because she is a school teacher also!!!!!!!! it's on your greatest reactions you should need to revisit it once again. 💚. also more KISS and Carpenters
