- The original part number is 0C3025. 0C30250SRV is the "kit" part number which includes the terminals. If you don't need the terminals you can order 0C3025. Just get whichever one will ship faster because I fixed this right before a storm which took out power. With standby generators time really matters. If you have any questions post a comment and thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video. The part (same part number 0C30250SRV) I just got looks different. The screws are too big to fit into the apertures in the prongs. It looks like they want you to do a different type of connection, which may involve stripping the wires to fit their connector, but not sure.
Absolutely solved my problem! Thank you for the guidance! After replacing the switch and successfully running the generator, then changed all the filters, the oil, and the spark plugs. Runs like new again!
I just got a replacement for my guardian, it’s the new type that replaced the one you show. FYI it comes with red loctite pre dressed! Thanks for the video.
The tape most go to the other side. Clockwise
Definitely taped in the wrong direction
I highly doubt its red lock tite it would never come out without a torch you would of never got it off it was most likely sealant
Thanks!!!
Shot in the dark... I'm cold with no water (ice storm) and this exact part just failed on my exact same unit. A part won't be here for a week. Does anyone know how to temporarily bypass this???
This switch should NOT be bypassed as there are numerous parts on the engine that could fail and cause catastrophic loss of oil pressure resulting in the total destruction of the generator engine... for example there are hoses attached to the oil cooler that often just pop right off without notice and drain the oil... however since human safety is greater than engine safety I will hesitantly inform you it can easily be bypassed by unhooking either wire on the sensor. Again, do not do that as you may cause complete failure of the generator and thousands of dollars in repair costs. Make 100% sure the unit has the proper amount oil. Call around to all local electrical places they should keep this on hand as it fits many other generators. Your local auto parts store might even have one. Good luck and stay safe.
Very much appreciate this video. Doesn't appear you disconnected the battery POS after all.
Did the replacement solve the problem? If not, what would be the next line of action?
It did solve the problem. If that didn't work I would suspect bad wiring, a bad oil pump, or other mechanical issue.
@@striker1211 Thanks for your feedback.
What was the green wire at the end of video?
The ground for the front panel. I show it in the beginning of the video :)
@@striker1211 Thank you sir!!
