Just so BEAUTIFUL.. made me cry.. so amazing! Thanks for letting me live vicariously threw your adventures. Most sorry to know that was your home town that burned. Prayers sent to all and to their recovery from Rhode Island. See ya next week!
Thank you so much! I live just a short distance from the town center where the banyan tree is located. Appreciate your comments and glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks for the great photography. You manage to capture the beauty and grandeur of Alaska and Canada. Those lakes are amazingly beautiful especially with the mountains in the background. Mahalo.
You two amaze me. Your strength courage to go out in the middle of the wilderness and believe you will be able to tackle anything that may come up. You are an example of life’s potential if you don’t let fear control and have faith. I told my husband that there is no way I could handle the bad roads, anxiety would overtake me. Keep on keeping on!
Thanks, Laura. The roads definitely take a mental toll but it's about our expectations and risk/reward for us. Not sure if it's courage or ignorance that drives us! 😉🤣 It's a fun summer. Thank for watching the channel. 😁
Thank you for your adventures so beautiful, Sorry of your home town burning. Take and Lord Bless You And keep you safe. What you in see all lands and moutains just remember God created it all not mother nature. But he created all things.. Be saved.
That's impressive drone flying. Driving along and keeping the truck in the view-screen can't be easy. Although, to be honest, I've never tried to fly one so, I may be entirely wrong.
Thank you. It's not real easy especially when I rotate around the moving unit because then my "thrust vector" changes as the drone rotates to maintain a forward speed and keep the RV in view. Lots of fun though.
Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I stumbled across your channel accidentally and I’m very pleased that I did. You have been to some amazingly majestic places. (I live in Australia so it is wonderful to see the different landscapes).
Spectacular footage! I want you to turn around and go North. Spend another month exploring the magnificent state. I will re-watch this entire series. It has been 40 yrs since I visited Alaska, only for a week. Not enough time………………
We'd love to spend more time up there but the snow chased us out! Thanks for the comments. 😃 You're correct, a week just isn't close to enough time. Glad you enjoyed it.
You achieved that in this vlog. Those shots tracking the rv in motion and scanning to the horizon were great. I've done some tracking of my boat in motion, It's tricky.
Great video again, and the Drone footing is amazing…so, who’s driving what? I wish I could be so proficient with my drone…but not yet, still so much to learn! Thank you for visiting the places we didn’t and film it the way you are…so great, so many memories :-) Remi, the Canadian!
Thank you, Remi. When I fly then Sondra drives and I tell her how fast to go based on flight conditions... and battery status! Lol. I've gotten a lot of practice up here.
Lavender rocks! The good news is when the bears have plenty of fish to eat, they don't bother people. Fun to watch the playful bear cubs. Thanks for letting us ride along!
Thanks, Steve. I tell you what, I did not realize that the lavender stuff actually works! Next time, we're buying more bottles! The bears were definitely focused on the fish...good thing too!
I’m so envious! What an unbelievable experience you guys are having. It’s so fun to watch, and watch you both enjoy it as you soak it all in. Watching you have fun is half the enjoyment factor. Safe travels!!
Our hearts go out to the people of Maui. They have lost so many family, friends, and belongings to the firestorm. We have so many fond memories of that town and how friendly the people are there. We are praying that they are comforted by God and make a speedy recovery.
Every week seems better than the last. I look forward to Thursdays when I can get my weekly dose of your adventures. You put a huge smile on my face and in my heart. Thank you for taking the time to include us in your travels.
You're definitely having a wonderful trip. I passed through that Kathleen Lake Campground area back in June of 2014. Saw a Grizzly bear chasing a moose. That was awesome!
Hey guys. You already know about the "Bob" method, I had mentioned earlier. You watch a vehicle ahead of you, and let them tell you where the bad spots are...Like a bobber, when fishing
It is very sad the state of some of Maui. Lives lost is tragic. May the recovery of the infrastructure and buildings give some relief. Sorry to hear it’s your homeland that is suffering. ❤
Enjoying rewatching some of your wonderful Alaska videos. What is the purpose of the tennis racquet-like thing hanging behind David’s seat? Mosquito swatter?
Thanks, Lyn. Very unusual bear encounter for us as we were not expecting them to be walking down the road or be in such close proximity to us. Appreciate your kind comments.
What a great video! The scenery in Alaska is so amazingly beautiful. The places you boondocked were awesome and the bears were so much fun to watch! Thank you!!
10:54 looks like you’re heading to Wrangell. Loved our week there in June, especially our jet boat adventure out to Le Conte glacier (Alaska Charters & Adventures), was the best excursion of our 90 days up north. Sweet Tides bakery in Wrangell is incredible too.
Very observant. Loved Wrangell and that will be next week's video. We had a great time over several weeks and Alaska Charters was fantastic. Sweet Tide's was delicious. Glad you visited this little gem of a community.
So beautiful. We live in the most beautiful country. I would love to go to Alaska, and see it the way you have. I loved the bears. The mama bear and her cubs were just too cute. I watch the Coastal Bears at Brooks Falls, Katmai National Park. I love to watch the bears catch salmon at the falls. The area is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your amazing journey.
Fantastic video guys! David, your drone work is just superb! My husband has been loving it as well. He’s been wanting a drone for sometime now. I have a feeling your videos will be the catalyst for a purchase soon! 😂. I’m currently laid up, recovering from a right total knee replacement so, watching your videos is part of my therapy! My husband and I are also photographers. Sandra, I just love your photography!! The landscape shots are breathtaking! So many times I think, Wow! That’s a wallhanger for sure!!! Keep up the amazing work guys!! I hope you are both having the time of your lives. Can’t wait to see your video next week!! ❤
Thank you, Jodie. Hope you're feeling well and the recovery goes smoothly. Remember REHAB! It took awhile for me to get comfortable with flying but it's getting better with practice. Appreciate your comments. Glad you're along on the journey.
Some people with Thor RVs seem to have stuff break chronically..You seem to do very well with yours...Is this true?...btw.. You're a charming and funny couple!😊🎉
Thank you very much for the comments. Prior to picking up our RV, we had quite an extensive "punch list" for the dealer to fix. We didn't take ownership of it until it was complete. This may be a little different than most people. We've modified a few items (which may have also been some fixes) but we're also fairly experienced RVers and try to be "easy" (relatively speaking) on our equipment. It's not perfect but it has held up well on this trip.
Thanks, Brendan. To me, it's very surreal as that is where I grew up and spent a lot of time in Lahaina. I know that they'll build back but so much history and authenticity is lost. Really feel for the community and grieving of those who perished. I thought the "bear" hands ripping the wood was just corny (and funny).
When you were in Alaska it seemed so vast and overwhelming but when you left it made me sad to see the mountains far away. I hope i can get there someday. Lots of love from Miami.
Thanks, Alfred. We love the Miami area but were very surprised with how much we enjoyed visiting South Beach. It is a huge state with so much to see. We're excited to be sharing it with you.
Hi guys...we Beautiful scenery... Glad you got back on some decent roads.. That 1 campground looked to be very nice.... I know you're happy to be back in the United States.... Thanks for taking us along... Stay safe....J&A
Thanks, J&A. Hope you were cozy while watching. It was nice getting back on good roads for sure. The drive was beautiful though. Safe travels this summer.
I found you channel a couple weeks ago and really am enjoying your travels. Such amazing beautiful country! You produce your videos beautifully! Thanks for sharing!
Welcome aboard! Thank you very much. We enjoy traveling and like using the wheels to roll since it is an RV. Glad you found us and are sharing in the journey.
Enjoying your Alaska adventure. We did it in 2015 & 2022. Stayed at some of the same places you all have. We didn’t travel your 1-3 worst roads, #4 was enough for us. Yes, the views going into Haines is one of the best in Alaska. Haines was our favorite town and I think we saw the saw mama bear and her two cubs plus one evening we saw a grizzly and her two cubs by the fish wier. We hit a black bear near Stewart BC (didn’t kill it) but it did over $8,000 damage to the front end. And it didn’t stop to leave its insurance information either. Enjoy and stay safe.
In your last video, you suggested that I make the "BAD Counter" a drinking game. "BAD BAD suggestion." You said "BAD " a lot. Might we anticipate a thorough recap of your trip at the conclusion of your journey, including maps and spread sheets? Ya'll continue having fun.
Thanks, Randy. Yes, that would be a "bad" outcome for that game! We're going to do a summary at the end but we're not sure what form and content that will be but we are discussing it and there will be a summary.
Tough to look at the destruction . I hope if you still have family on Maui they are safe. Your shots around Haines brought back many memories. Glad to see the bears are still well fed. Sondra, you better lay off the Greek Salads. If David can rip logs apart no telling what he could do to the motor home if provoked. Great video as always. Cheers !
Lol... it's also the broccoli 🥦! It saddens me to see the destruction of Lahaina but there are glimmers of hope even now such as with the banyan tree. Thank you very much.
I'm wandering how many times have you washed the rig since this trip so far...I've lost count! And when David was talking about the border questions, the green stuff, starting with a C.....I was expecting at least (before he came out with it) an almost instant Cabbage (at least) from you Sondra! LOL Again, you two are fun entertainment, story tellers, informative travel guides/hosts, and great photographers/videographers to boot. Continued safe travels.....btw....#176👍 P.S. Can't wait for the next one!
LOL...I've lost count on how many washes too! I guess it wouldn't need it if we didn't drive on so many gravel backroads! Thanks for the comments. I think Sondra was thinking Cabbage! Appreciate your time watching the channel.
Hi folks, we really loved this vlog. The views were spectacular ❤ Hopefully for the rest of your Alaska journey will be only on good roads 😅 and those bears were cute (dangerous) but cute. Looking forward to next weeks. We are off on s two week vacation early tomorrow morning with our trailer to the Twinwood festival down in England with few stops along the way for a few days. Stay safe. Blair & Mel 🏴
Beautiful scenery. We love our Starlink. It has worked well for us in places where there is no cell coverage at all. (We used to use hot spots). And, yes, we use zoom to contact our family, and it works well.
2:30 We stumbled upon Lake Kathleen on our way up to the Alcan from Haines in late June, would have loved a couple more nights there. Top of the World is such a better road than destruction bay.
Kathleen Lake is a great campground and neat area to visit. Our campsite was phenomenal and we really enjoyed our stay there. We may check out TOW Hwy before they close the border. Thanks for watching.
That is so sweet, Carol. Glad you enjoyed it and we are able to share our experiences with you on this journey. We appreciate your time watching the channel.
I enjoy your content and find it relaxing to hear your adventures. One thing puzzles me …….your obvious financial resources to afford these very expensive RVs, etc. Most of us can’t do this …….. Anyway, take care and travel safely
Thank you very much for your time watching the channel. Our lifestyle isn't the cheapest way to live but we watch our pennies just the same. We worked for 35 years and budgeted our finances planning for this moment. No lottery winnings just old fashioned hard work and sensible spending.
Not to worry about speaking in terms of feet, or meters, in Canada. We use both interchangeably; in fact, most Canadians 50 and older are more comfortable with feet and inches. So cute watching the bears at your campground. The cubs playfighting. Boys will be boys, regardless of species, lol. Mama keeping a watchful eye on them.
Very true, Terry. Mama let them get their energy out. It's funny but back in the '70s, the USA was going to change to metric...Coca-Cola did it but that's about the extent of it! 😆 Thanks for watching the channel. 😁
@bigtruckbigtravels You're welc9me. I know, as I was in 6th grade when they started teaching us the metric system in 1975, and I remember my teacher saying that the US was going to convert to metric at the same time. Since we were living near Niagar Falls at the time, so right by the US border, that was I portent to us, because so much trade and interaction between people happened between us and our American neighbours in upstate New York. Apparently, the US government backtracked on the planned switch to metric because industry pushed back against the costs that would be entailed. Unfortunately for us, the changeover was already further along and Canadian companies had already made the required investments by the time the US decided to stick with Imperial, so there was no going back. There was a lot of resistance to metric in Canada at first. I remember my dad getting pissed off when they change the high speed and distance signs from miles to kilometers because his car's speedometer only had miles on it. However, because of the massive amount of trade and our close proximity to the States, metric never fully took. Officially government-regulated things are in metric, but in Canadians' everyday usage, we still measure our heights and weights in feet and pounds, and still advertise real estate in square feet and yards. Sorry for the long-winded explanation of what many consider a trivial issue, but I never saw the sense of going metric, especially since the YS decided not to, so it's kind of a pet peeve for me.
I love that drive from the junction down to Haines. And don't be shy about buying that expensive Canadian fuel, somebody has to pay for our healthcare and we all appreciate you doing your part.
I am wondering, since you have been on so many of the famous gravel roads in Alaska (Dalton, Denali, McCarthy), are you planning on going back via the "top of the World Highway"? It would seem like a good finale.
Lol... now, Russell, I don't want to spoil anything but... it would make an amazing finale. I like the way you think, my friend. As a matter of fact, we may even "up the ante"... lol. Appreciate your time watching the channel. 😃
Hi guys ha ING more and more fun right? So sad what happened in Maui it must ha e taken them by surprise God bless them. I looked at your videostàmp and it says 8 hours ago. Do you know that yesterday the sixteenth a terrible forest fire broke out in Yellow knife the authorities are trying g to evacuate 20,000 people by road and air. Some people are staying toward their HOME. Like get out uddy cos you and your will nolonger be. Take care be saf😊e
Amazing trip and scenery, may I ask what photographic equipment you guys are using, what is the Nikon and lens combinations, and the equipment used for your videoing etc ?
Yes, Craig, it got a little charred but they said it is "oozing a smaller amount of sap than usual" and it is "still absorbing water" so there is hope. Not sure if they are going to prune it a little to assist or let nature take it's course but I think it may survive which is awesome. Mahalo
Did you ever get the steps fixed yet? I am not totally caught up on your vlogs yet so I apologize if you address it in a more recent vlog. I did want to share about bicycle racks. We have a sportrack crest 2 that we use all the time on the back of our pleasure way plateau b+ RV. It's solid on the receiver and the straps that hold the tires in place are ratchet type straps. They are solid and the wheels don't move. We don't have e-bikes but we have Day 6 recumbent bikes that are built similar to your bikes. Just an idea if your looking at going with a different bike rack. Love the videos and love your drone footage - it's unreal!
hey Doc, haven't fixed the steps yet. I'll probably replace them when we return to the lower 48 with an upgraded version that adds another step...easier for the grandchildren to climb aboard.
Can't imagine how much steps will cost you. We had the motor in our steps go out within the first year and a half and it was crazy what they wanted for a new motor. Then again we have a Canadian pleasure way plateau so that might have been a factor.
Love your videos especially with our dream of going to Alaska next year! A couple questions if I could? Why do u have 2 bike covers? What type of pole do you have for Starlink? We just got it & trying to figure out ways to stabilize it. We’re camphosting in Bass Harbor Maine till October. Thanks so much. Safe travels 🙏😎
Thank you, Elizabeth. Hope you're enjoying Maine. That is on our schedule...Sondra made two bike covers because we felt like they could be more easily tailored to fit more snugly. We didn't want a lot of "flapping" in the wind as it could rub on the exterior of the RV. In our Amazon store I list the pole for StarLink. But it's a Flag Pole Buddy 2nd Gen and works great. I got 3 pole extensions to get it up above the RV and I mount it on the ladder with their ladder mount. Hope this helps. Alaska is a cool trip.
We R’vd to Alaska in 2018 , and headed back in 2024. You graded the worst highways 1-4 and said destruction bay was #4 ( best ) what is your 1 thru 3 ( Denali, McCarthy, Dalton ) we did go to the Arctic circle last time but plan on going the Prudoe bay this time as well as Denali hwy. really enjoying your alaska travel videos. B.C. And Alaska are truly magical . Safe travels !
#1 McCarthy Road (no question), #2A Dalton Highway up to Arctic Circle, #2B 65 miles of Denali Hwy on Cantwell side, #3A 65 miles of Denali Hwy from Paxson Lake area, #3B Dalton Highway from Arctic Circle to Prudhoe Bay then #4 Destruction Bay.
Why do some of the places you guys are visiting sound like they names were spelled using an Hawaiian alphabet? More great videos. Really enjoying them. Keep on trucking.
Good question! They are the names given by the native or indigenous culture of the country. Similar to Hawaiian culture so may be some close ties we don't realize.
LOL...man, Tony, you get around, my friend. We stopped in Sitka on Monday morning for a few hours. It was on the ferry schedule but we did not stay. Heading back down to the KP for a bit then off to Katmai NP. Just a few more weeks in AK. 😯😒
What a wonderful adventure the two of you had . Really enjoying your adventure so far . Watching those grizzly cubs playing was truly amazing . 😊
Glad you enjoyed it. They were awesome! Such a cool experience...a little hairy when they started coming toward us!
Your photography skills are incredible!
Sondra loves to take pictures. Thank you
That lake. Oh my gosh and a fire! Too cozy and your warm RV bed to retire too. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, just doesn’t get any better than that
Best overall campsite on the entire trip. We extended our stay because of it. The Arctic Ocean spot was very epic... but for a different reason.
Just love the female voice music behind the beautifully scenes. Torching. 😊
Thank you. I really liked it.
Just so BEAUTIFUL.. made me cry.. so amazing! Thanks for letting me live vicariously threw your adventures. Most sorry to know that was your home town that burned. Prayers sent to all and to their recovery from Rhode Island. See ya next week!

Beautiful sceneries, wildlife, drone shots - just amazing. What a journey. Save travels!

Thank you for watching the channel. We're excited to be able to share our experiences with everyone and to give back to the RV community.
I think we just saw your RV. What great weather it is here today. We had a great walk along the water.
If you're in Seward, Russell, then it's probably us on the water. Beautiful day!
Great video again, and the Drone footing is amazing…so, who’s driving what? I wish I could be so proficient with my drone…but not yet, still so much to learn! Thank you for visiting the places we didn’t and film it the way you are…so great, so many memories :-) Remi, the Canadian!

WOW … now you can tear logs apart with your hands…amazing 😅 Kathleen Lake was gorgeous. Please hold on to your pretty hair 😊 🇨🇦
Lol... must be all the broccoli 🥦 I'm eating! Thank you... I'll try to FIND my hair!
Beautiful pictures!
Thank you for watching the channel. We're excited to be able to share our experiences with everyone and to give back to the RV community.
Some beautiful spots! 👍David, hope you had no family affected by the fire in Lahaina 😢Keep living the dream! Aloha!
Thank you, Steve. Luckily no one was impacted as they are closer to Wailuku. The views were spectacular and we were treated to some beautiful weather.
Perfect timing - just turned on and tuned in!
Woohoo! Good timing, Bill. Hope you enjoy our travels.
Lavender rocks! The good news is when the bears have plenty of fish to eat, they don't bother people. Fun to watch the playful bear cubs. Thanks for letting us ride along!

Thank you so much 😁, Linda. We enjoy this fulltime lifestyle and love to travel.
So wonderful again and the mother Bear and her cubs were the cherry on the cake! Thanks again so much! Sorry to see only on Sunday!❤👍🇨🇦
Glad you watched it, Marco. Thank you for that. The cubs were awesome to see them playing.
Glad you are enjoying our beautiful roads. It is cool to see my state through your eyes. Travel happy in your rovers. 😊
We really appreciate your time watching the channel and are excited to have you along on the journey. Thanks for being a part of the story.
Wow 🐻
😊 Pretty cool...thank you.
Nice relaxing campgrounds in YT. Might have to try the Congdon ⛺️ Firewood!🔥
Yukon CG are refined wilderness rustic! Free seasoned firewood and nice sites with trash and pit toilets! We love them!
Wonderful video
Many thanks, Rick. Really appreciate your time watching the channel. 😃
That mama bear had a tracking collar on
Yes, she's a "regular", Connie. And probably had caused some mischief in her time!
So beautiful ❤
Thank you! 😊
Love the video today
Glad you enjoyed, Debbie. It was a really neat drive down to Haines.
Diet is important and you guys have it down packed🔥🔥🔥👍👍👍👍
Thank you. 😊 We're not "diet perfect" but we do enjoy most of what's healthy for us!
Once again a beautiful photo and drone shots. Loved the baby cubs playing. 😊
Glad you enjoyed it. They were cute...I mean, who doesn't love bear cubs playing!?!
You're definitely having a wonderful trip. I passed through that Kathleen Lake Campground area back in June of 2014. Saw a Grizzly bear chasing a moose. That was awesome!
Ok, Charles, that would be EPIC for certain. Appreciate your time watching the channel. 😃
Amazing again. We are blessed you are willing to share all this with us. Thank you!
You are so welcome, Gary. Excited to have you along on the journey and share in our experiences. Appreciate your time watching the channel.
Very sad about Maui.Great video
It is but they will rise from this tragedy. Thank you for the comment. 😃
Hey guys. You already know about the "Bob" method, I had mentioned earlier. You watch a vehicle ahead of you, and let them tell you where the bad spots are...Like a bobber, when fishing
Hey, Tony, that is sooo true on the ALCAN! 😊 thank you
It is very sad the state of some of Maui. Lives lost is tragic. May the recovery of the infrastructure and buildings give some relief. Sorry to hear it’s your homeland that is suffering. ❤
It was a horrendous event but the community of Maui will pull together to build an even better Lahaina. Thank you very much, Mahalo.
Enjoying rewatching some of your wonderful Alaska videos. What is the purpose of the tennis racquet-like thing hanging behind David’s seat? Mosquito swatter?
Yes, it's an electric mosquito swatter... it's standard equipment on any Alaska trip! 😆 🤣
David has a nice Brett Favre style side arm pitch there. Stay safe and healthy. Hope all is still awesome.
Lol... thanks! Needed that motion to get a good rock skip! Appreciate the comments. 😁
Love your videos. I got a 12 ton bottle jack fron harbor freight, used it many times and only about $40. Save travels!
Sweet! Harbor Freight has a great deal on those bottle jacks!
Loved your encounter with the bears. Loved the whole video. Thanks for sharing.💖💖
Thanks, Lyn. Very unusual bear encounter for us as we were not expecting them to be walking down the road or be in such close proximity to us. Appreciate your kind comments.
Just beautiful look’s amazing.Thank you.
You are so welcome, Ileana! Glad you enjoyed it and really appreciate your time watching the channel.
What a great video! The scenery in Alaska is so amazingly beautiful. The places you boondocked were awesome and the bears were so much fun to watch! Thank you!!
Glad you enjoyed it, Barbara! It was a gorgeous weather week so we were very fortunate.

Be safe out there!❤
Thanks, Wayne. We enjoy the RV Lifestyle and the ability to see the sights. Appreciate your comments.

Really feel for the community and grieving of those who perished. I thought the "bear" hands ripping the wood was just corny (and funny).
Beautiful scenery and thank you and be safe and God bless you
You're welcome, Brad. Glad you enjoyed it and really appreciate your time watching the channel.
It's the mountains that have always called me back home. Mat-Su is surrounded by them.
Totally gorgeous, thanks for letting me tag along. Looking forward to the next one.😊
You are so welcome, Mary! Glad you're along on the journey... let's roll!
Yet another great video!! Thanks for sharing. Can’t wait until next year when we head up!
That's exciting, Bryan. It will be a fun trip. Thanks for watching and hope that you get some good info out of our travels.
Always so sad when your videos end but so excited when Thursday rolls around again! Great video.
You are too kind, Kaye. Glad you enjoyed it and we appreciate your comments.
Thank You for taken us on your journey throughly enjoyed it. 🫶🏼
Thanks, Joyce. Glad you enjoyed it and excited to have you along on the journey. 😊
Oh wow! We don't have any bear stories like that one! Sorry about the damage...his insurance would "bearly" cover it though...🤔🤨🤣😁😎
My husband and I have enjoyed your trip to Alaska so much. It has been a wonderful trip. My husband has a cousin that lives in Valdez.
Glad you're enjoying it, Sheila. Valdez is a beautiful setting for a town. When they clouds are gone it is magnificent. Thanks for the comment.
Gorgeous country, thanks for taking me alone for the journey!!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it, David. It's a fun trip.
Without hope we have nothing@@bigtruckbigtravels
Absolutely magnificent. Beautiful job guyz! Best content yet. Love it. 👍👍👍
Thanks so much, Dale! We couldn't believe the scenery of the drive...and that we missed it the first time!
@@bigtruckbigtravels (sorry for her name misspelling, corrected!)
Thanks againg for sharing. Awesome video.
Thanks for watching, Eddie! We appreciate your time.
Hi folks, we really loved this vlog. The views were spectacular ❤
Hopefully for the rest of your Alaska journey will be only on good roads 😅 and those bears were cute (dangerous) but cute. Looking forward to next weeks.
We are off on s two week vacation early tomorrow morning with our trailer to the Twinwood festival down in England with few stops along the way for a few days. Stay safe.
Blair & Mel 🏴
Thank you. Most of it will be on smooth roads...most of it...LOL. Maybe a surprise in store later. We'll see...
Beautiful scenery. We love our Starlink. It has worked well for us in places where there is no cell coverage at all. (We used to use hot spots). And, yes, we use zoom to contact our family, and it works well.
Starlink has been a game changer for us, Phyllis. It has been consistent up here all summer, not perfect but we can always connect.
KLA WHA NEE Have a good trip
Thank you...I may get it one of these days. I just have to revert to my Hawaiian pronunciation...
Another enjoyable episode that leaves me wanting the next one. Watch out for those bears!
Oh, we did our part on the way back...but that is for another video! Thanks for the comments.
The bears were nice to see.Keep washing your rig lol😅Have great week
It just gets soooo dirty on these roads! The bears were definitely a surprise on the road. Glad you enjoyed it and I hope you stay cool this summer.
That's not good, Linda. We'll have to check out the Yellowknife status. Thank you.
Do you ever worry abou bears when hiking? Definitely beautiful views!
Good question, Kris. Normally, we'll carry bear spray but Sondra always has her camera and the animals like to hide from her! 🤔😉😂🤣😆
You should have done the Dempster Hwy while you were there.
Hmmm... we're still up in Alaska...summer is not done yet... you never know "what's next"!
Thanks for great vids...
Are your vids normally 2-3 was behind? Just for checking weather, thanks
thank you. Yes, I try to be anywhere from 1 - 3 weeks behind actual travel.
Amazing trip and scenery, may I ask what photographic equipment you guys are using, what is the Nikon and lens combinations, and the equipment used for your videoing etc ?
We have older equipment, Dennis, we weren't sure about the channel in the beginning! Lol. Nikon 5500, S20 Ultra, S22 and GoPro 8.
Enjoying all of your episodes. Question, are you both inside the moto home while shooting drone shots? Safe travels!
Thanks, Lianne. Yes, Sondra drives and I fly the drone while we're moving down the road...or across a bridge...or over canyons...LOL.
I heard that the Old Banyan Tree survived on Maui
@@drshepherd1969 I'm guessing around $200 USD.
👍👍👍
😁😎🤙
@@bigtruckbigtravelsthank you so much !
Hey David, your videos are so well done. Just wonder what video editing software you use?
Thank you. I use DaVinci Resolve. Not the easiest but it's pretty powerful.
Hmmm Interesting song choice 😬
I liked the voice and music....we listened to it again last night...and I can understand your comment. I'll watch it next time. Thanks.
Why are they not doing cross gulf sailings? Sorry for the beginner question.
Great question, Doug. We were told that it was due to crew availability (or lack thereof) this year.
Are you guys taking the ferry to Sitka? I’m in Sitka right now.
LOL...man, Tony, you get around, my friend. We stopped in Sitka on Monday morning for a few hours. It was on the ferry schedule but we did not stay. Heading back down to the KP for a bit then off to Katmai NP. Just a few more weeks in AK. 😯😒
Do you have a weather station in the back near the starlink?
Yes, it's an Acurite weather station with an anemometer. We like to know how windy it is. I put it up separately on the roof.
Klu Ann eee lake
Thanks, Catherine. I just couldn't get it right in my "head"! Hope it wasn't too distracting.
@@bigtruckbigtravels not at all one of my favorite places, that and Muncho lake
Has the "R" in McCarthy been repaired?
Lol... maybe the "R" is getting repaired... the road should come next! 🤔😉🤣
