Wow, what an unforgettable game for an outfielder. Strike out five times, and then all you have to do is pick up the ball, and if the next guy gets out your team wins, but you let it roll past you for two runs to end the game with a loss.

@@kingboo3140 Unfortunately while the inside the park home run was a great moment, Pagan was injured on that at and he was out for the rest of the season. The Giants offense was not the same without him and didn't recover!

That one by Angel Pagan is even more special than it seems. Right before that game Tim Flannery the third base coach was being interviewed and they were talking about players complaining about triples alley, the players would end up at third base telling Flannery that it should’ve been a home run. And his response was always the same “if you ran a little harder it would be a home run!” That was right before this game, and here’s what looks like a triple the score one run but because of Flannery’s advice Pagán got all the way home, if you look at the wide-angle Flannery is going fucking crazy. I love that clip.

Wildest part was hearing Kuiper call Pagan's from May of 2013... and then immediately switching to Kuiper calling Dernier's from May of 1989.
I wish there was footage of the greatest and only inside the park game winning grand slam by The Great One ... #21 Roberto Clemente in July of 1956.
I was at AT&T Park for Pagan's. Hands down the most exciting play I've ever seen.

Roberto Clemente hit a walk off inside the park grand slam home run against the Cubs in 1956.
The two Pirates clips with Starling Marte and Josh Harrison are no inside the park home runs. Those are triples and they advanced to home on errors. Both of them had the throws go past the third baseman and they scored because of either a bad throw or not catching the ball. Basically if it were not for those 2 errors, neither of them would've scored so those are not inside the park home runs.
I'd have scored them a triple and an E-4 throwing on both plays.
There were a few that should have been errors. One (Abreu) hit the palm of the outfielders glove and he didn't catch it. If that isn't an error, I don't know what is.

It appears that way at full speed, but if you slow it down, it's clear he stepped right on top of it. You can even see the base move a bit if you look at the edge that's facing home plate.

Looks like he was trying to stutter step this into highlight reel play. He was often accused of this. If he runs to the spot he makes the play.
What I like most about walk-offs is that it's the home team winning so the fans go wild!

There's two of those in here, triples that scored on throwing errors or a challenge (at the least).
That call was pretty exciting. Everyone went nuts after the suspense was built up waiting for the verdict.

The two Pirates plays are actually a triple and an throwing E-4 on both plays. The one starting at 4:35 should be a double and an E-8, both runs scoring on the error, no RBIs.

interesting that early clips of the inside the park home runs and "little league homers" did not have the baseball score we accustomed to nowadays, most legits homers were judgement calls but 1 or 2 were where the batter hit it to the right empty slot on the field and beat the throw to home plate

The inside the park HR brings back memories for me. I had probably a dozen of them in little league and pony league. I was a small but skilled player. Not to toot my own horn but I was an amazing lead off hitter. If I got on base, I'd steal second and third within the next at bat almost every time. Never been thrown out until my college career at Cal U. Where I had a couple more inside the parkers. It's special to me because I only hit one homerun in my life over the fence.

1:27 sorry but think it was clearly an error on the CF for Abreu's "in the park homerun". yes the ball was hit deep but the CF clearly misjudged and hit in the glove heel and darted off after that. Shouldn't be considered a home run but sadly many mistakes by fielders these days they give credit to the hitter and screw over the pitcher
