I cant believe it i knew him at least 10 years ago and his songs absolutly touch my soul. Thank you for be part of my life, thanks for the music and the eternity of your voice and guitar.
Sitting in Beijing, China, and watching & listning to this performance in front of a mirror like lake. Have not been able to return to my home country of Sweden for several years now due to covid, but this helps a lot... Keep publishing content of what you do so great, and that makes us all feel so good Kristian!
Thanks for the video. It really means so much that you care. I think now I understand what The Tallest Man on Earth means, at least to me. Being a live music junkie I've never had to go this long without road tripping or, when I'm lucky enough for a show to come to me, getting out to see a show. 7 days before the lockdown we were fortunate enough for Sam Bush and The Travkin' Mccoury's were coming to the music dessert of Chattanooga. It is still disappointing! On a lighter note, brother the gray has really set in, lol
If more Australians get the opportunity to hear your music, they will be big fans for sure. I lost my love and career 4 years ago, forced to work my way back up in a new industry where I can not see my friends and family regularly. Struggling to ever get more then 3-4 hours sleep a night, I had become anonymous even to myself. Then covid swept the world, and I know many of my dear friends overseas are struggling much more than me. This video means a lot to me as I have dug myself out of a deep hole and am almost ready to be a social being again. Your soulful music reminds me of early intimate gigs by the likes of Ben Harper, John Butler and Xavier Rudd. Having recently parted ways with Adobe, I decided to start subscribing to Spotify to rediscover the music I loved. It turned out I had signed up many years ago and saved just one artist in my library, and that was The Tallest Man In The World. I finally sat down last night and listened to all your music. The full discography. I was filled with joy, and I cried. Thanks man. I really need that. I will keep a look out for Australian tours in the future. Much love to you brother.
Can’t wait to see you in Asheville! You’ve always been a beautiful soul out there in the universe somewhere that I only experience as a voice or image on a screen. It’ll be a bit surreal to actually be in the same space and hopefully talk to you. I love you sweet Kristian ❤️
Thank you for this! 🙏🏻 The world needs people like you. It’s been strange times and I’ve actually also grown as an amateur guitarist spending a good amount of time studying your music amongst other artist. Greetings from Amsterdam
@@branscombe_ well.. Calgary/Alberta are the most obnoxious people from what ive experienced personally..atkeast the ones who come over to BC for camping.. not suprised tho.. everything something idiotic or criminal happens at one of our parks or campgrounds here in BC , turns out they were from alberta. like people HALF skining a live beaver and leaving it for dead in a ditch, shooting birds with pellet guns, robbing other campers in the middle of the night.. causing drunken arguments and brandishing firearms... yall dont have a very good reputation if you haven't noticed.. gone camping every summer multiple times since 2010 and every year without fail they've done something. the above examples were things that happened when and where i was camping. oh, i forgot the part where they leave beer cans and trash everywhere without fail. like a tradition of theirs.. From someone that has “been through it”, “seen the shit”, I’m here to help anyone, anyway I can. Your music was literally a daisy in the battle field for me in the toughest times. I got you highlighted on repeat on Spotify in my “rescue” reserved only for those I really felt.
Don’t think I’ve ever commented on a UA-cam video. But this version of The Gardner is one of the best things I’ve heard in a long time. Thanks Kristian.
Thank you so Mutch for this uplifting video, I’m from Liverpool In England and have been listening to your music many years now. I can see that you shine a lot more your self now and it’s clear to see. Thanks again for your wonderful music 🎶 if your ever in Liverpool drop me a message & I’ll show you our City 👍🏻
Honestly, I loved the raw pure emotion of your older, scream-it-out stuff. That being said, just when you think the original take of The Gardener couldn't get any better you go ahead and do it.
What a gift to find this beautiful morning. A message from Kristian. And a new song from your buddy Tim. Life is good. And I love you too. Thank you. 🙏❤️🙏❤️
I've loved The Gardener since I was 16 years old and falling in love for the first time. I'm 26 now, I live on the other side of the world and the people I shared this song with are strangers to me but I love the song just the same. Really enjoyed this arrangement. What are the odds of a concert happening in Japan in the future?
I thought it was a 9min music 😭 By the way... You are the person who most inspired me in 2021. The Song "I'll be a Sky" kept me moving and said so much about who I wanna be. Not sure if it's the same "meaning" for you. I'm I'm glad it's a song about the sky I want to be
Can't wait to see you. You should visit the Boundary Waters in Minnesota. Hundreds of miles of lakes and wilderness only accessible by canoe. I think you would love it. I try to go for 3 weeks at a time and completely escape society. Make sure you go in September.
Been trying to see the tallest man for the past 4 years and something always happens. Once again I have tickets to see him here in SF maybe 5th times the charm :)
I think the tuning is C#F#C#F#G#c#. I'm 100% sure on the high 3 strings, slightly less about the lower 3. I think of it as DGDGAd, but very very high. I achieved it by tuning to EAEABe and putting the capo on 9(!!)
@@sjwimmel I'm trying to figure out the tuning as well. From the strokes he played at the very end and the intro picking part, DGCGDG (with capo 6) seems to sound great! But it's very unsual, maybe related to the guitar he uses. Check out this tuning and let me know what do you think. I'll try to make a tab out of it then :)
Okay Ive figured out the tuning of this one (Very similar to his favorite banjo tuning putting the high E string to the second scale degree instead of another root DADADE) but what I cant figure out is how he gets the low E and G string to be an octave up?! Are you using banjo strings or something?!? Sry to nerd out, much love from MA
Wonderful sound, might i be so rude as to ask the type of guitar, i'm a minimalist and a guitar picker and so far i only have used 150 dollar takamine classic nylon guitar. it's very nice for it's purposes and friendly on the fingers for practice, but i want to invest in a steel string picking guitar with similar characteristics. The way this one carries the sound is really wonderful, also the neck seems to of wide proportions. If anybody recognizes and can give me a pointer, much appreciated! Wim
It’s a little bit hard to watch this. I know you’re about to unleash your passion amongst lucky others who love you as much as me. I have UA-cam though. It’s something. Damn Swedish dynamo 💕

Your live-streams last year were a lifeline for me and when you stopped.... man, it was hard. Glad to see you back. We need you back.
