I learned how to crochet a chain yesterday, woke up today, and decided that making one chain made me qualified to crochet a jellyfish (totally not getting ahead of myself). I put the video on .5 speed most of the time and it may have taken me two days, but I’m very proud of how it came out, especially for in the future when I want to tell someone “this was my first ever crochet project” just to impress them.
I'm sure you can make this!! When I first started (some odd years ago) I found a nice slouchy hat I wanted to make my kids ( worm beanie).... Well it turned out to be a very difficult pattern that I did not understand and yet did at the same time, and I kept switching how I was completing the stitch and so it was very messed up... I now have a partially completed hat that I started some odd months ago... In my defense I work full time, and run our homestead business but still, you can do anything you set your mind to (with enough time)!
Ok this is my second plushie I've ever made and it turned out perfect! You are a great teacher and you don't speed the video or cut it you do it in the same time as us, Thank you!! You are the best!
my boyfriend and i went to the museum together and they were selling these little jellyfish plushies for 25$! i’m gonna make this later today for him! thanks for this video it’s super helpful
I am a beginner in crochet and I want to introduce my grandfathers in doing crochet with you as you are so in detail explaining and taking us through the whole process of making the jellyfish, I am gladly subscribed to your Chanel, God bless you and your precious family
I so appreciate your videos! Thank you for taking your time to explain what you are doing and then crocheting at the same time . I cannot read patterns, I’m a visual and hearer learner! I am looking forward to crocheting along to make gifts for my grandchildren and great grandchildren ! Thank you ❤😊
Just finished my project jellyfish. It was my very first Amigurumi project after 3 ball attempts. Your video helped me a lot and I'm very grateful. I finished the jellyfish really well too and I ended up even adding a face and a bow. Very helpful tutorial, because it shows every step slowly. Recommended for sure on my part. ❤️
My first jellyfish (this one) is being donated to a friend who’s GF had a premie at about 24 weeks! The tentacles help keep their tiny hands from pulling out their tubes and leads! Thank you!! ❤️❤️
When I first started crocheting, I had tried for months to do a magic circle and probably watched a dozen videos on it. I gave up and months later I decided I wanted to make a jellyfish for my moms birthday. I watched your circle and immediately got it. It was amazing and even though its not a magic circle tutorial, it helped me so much so thank you for that and this amazing jellyfish pattern.❤
I just wanted to say I love this pattern so much. I've been using these for stash busting. I made about 20 of these and played around with the tentacles and ruffled edges and different colors to make each one unique. I hug them all on my ceiling. I'm planning on making many more to eventually cover my ceiling in colorful jellies!
Thank you! This is very simple, and while I am not a beginner, it is nice to see some beginner friendly animals! And such beautiful ones like these! You would expect them to be complicated but nope! Thank you! Not only for the design, but making it simple, more so not as difficult as it could be! 😊❤
The jellyfish came out pretty good! I usually do scarves, shawls, and lace, so this was an interesting experiment. My housemate loves it. Thanks for the great tutorial.
I’m in love with crochet jelly’s. This one is AMAZING. I have even randomly crochet patterns to make my own lol. My mother loves stuffed sea animal. (Especially jellyfish) so I keep crochet a jelly every few days and adding to her/our collection! I just love this pattern. Thank you for sharing
I have never crochet before but after watching your videos I shall be learning to make this jellyfish and as you have taken your time to show how to do it I have to thankyou so much for sharing your talent 😊❤
Thank you! I learned a lot from this video. Never knew how to attach things to figures and never knew about the trick to pull the ends through the body. This video makes we wanna make more amigurumis. :)
Just made this jellyfish! I did a pink and purple version, added eyes, and I love it! I may do four colors for my next one. The kids at my church will love them! 💕 Thank you!
I've been crocheting for 2 weeks now and I've made 2 of these now! Thank you so much for this! Your instructions are very clear and easy for beginners. Also Buttons is adorable :)
I made 2 in a few hours sewing the tentacles 🐙 on took most of the time. 1 more and three baby boys will receive them very soon. Thank you so much from Eltham Victoria Australia 🇦🇺 PS my small balls of yarn stash will reduce as well.
the best tutorial! I've made two now and even added beads to my second jellyfish's tentacles. love how it is super easy to follow and see exactly what you're doing!
I just had to say thank you! This is my first animal and big crochet project and my first one was a little wonky but my dog loves it as a toy and it’s the cutest thing! I had to make another for my sister in-laws dogs!!
I love your pattern , thanks for sharing this awesome pattern, my daughter who is a Dive Master on the Island of Cozumel has a 4 yr old daughter whom is my granddaughter and she is absolutely intrigued by all the sea animals so thanks for making a pattern that looks realistic instead of cartoonist. I used Yarn Bee Scrub-ology cotton for the tentacles to give it a bit of an edge . I would love to send you a photo ! Cheers L. Fay Henegar
Yay that was what i was looking for! I will try make it and I will keep you updated! 😀 Day 1: So I've started around 7.30 pm and I made some breaks too, and I finished the head/body around 10.30 pm so that's around 1 hour and 40 minutes /without the breaks/! ALSO THANKS FOR THE TUTORIAL! IT TURNS OUT AMAZING SO FAR!
I've been crocheting a jellyfish but I just couldn't get the tentacles to curl no matter how many different patterns I tried:( but then I came across your video AND YOUR TENTACLES PATTERN WAS A SAVIOR!🥺😍 THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!
I picked up crocheting a couple months ago but I havent toughed it since i finished my first project so this was agreat way to get back into it, I messed up on the bottom at some point by one stitch all the way till the end :') and I think I missed a couple of stitches in my spiral but it still turned out super good! Thank you for posting such a detailed tutorial ^^
currently making this with a 7mm hook - it’s pretty much the size of the large one! good thing i looked more into your channel before making the large one, i would’ve ran out of yarn!
At first I didn't think I'd like the straight tentacles mixed with the curly ones. Then at the end I loved them. Good lesson learned. Don't discount something till you see it through. Thanks 😊
Thanks so much for your tutorial. I've never made one before but have been wanting to try. It turned out amazing. I'm so grateful. Can't wait to try more of your tutorials
So fun!! Lovely pattern / video and it turned out awesome! Really appreciate the instructions. I purchased the PDF file as I’ll be making one more, at least…Thank you! :)
Ive gotten to 9:33 in just a few minutes (i skipped to the next step i needed since i crochet it slightly faster then her) and im stating the second row now, this tutorial is way easier for me than all the others ive tried out! Update: its the next morning, im now at 36:23!
Okay update I did it but still I‘m gonna switch to another video because her hands are too much in the way so I really can’t follow what she’s doing :(
Sorry you had a hard time. I don't do the magic circle slow in the videos because I have a separate video for it. I'll attach the link even tho it sounds like you found a different video for it. Good luck with the rest of the project
Thank you so much.. your a great teacher! I have only been crocheting for a few months and I’m not good yet.. I can’t wait until I get as good as you are. I feel like I never will, but I’m gonna keep practicing. I can say that I get better a making a chain! At first it was soooooo uneven.. big loops mix with small loops mixed with way to tight loops! Lol! Plz tell me I’m not alone??
My left handed brain had a hard time figuring out what was going on and reverse it 🤔 took me 3 hours to get the first 2 rows down and for some reason all the knotches I make end up too tight for me to push the needle through... 😩 I got a headache so I'll try it again later. Edit: I finished it
I'm obsessed with it also I have a channel and I'll give your credit cuz this was so cute I love your channel and do you know when your Hanna post again?
