    I bought one a year ago and couldn’t be more happier with it. The BT switch is a must too! I lived without it until this week. The little switch is a game changer! No more walking back and forth to turn the CT on and off. I bought the cyclone as well. So far it is doing its job. Thanks for the review

    Great in-depth video, just what I was looking for… and more. You have a new sub!
    Keep up with your UA-cam videos, you understood the concept of straight to the point reviews and less blah blah. No wasted of time for viewer 👍

    One thing no one mentions about this extractor, it is small but dense. I am definitely glad I purchased it, but looking at it on screen, it looks cheap. When I received mine I quickly discovered that everything on this is actually very well built. The thing is, it is slightly heavier than my large Ridgid Shop Vac, but because it is compact, it is easier to transport to and from site than my Shop Vac. I observed this same thing about the Domino 500 when I got it. It is a little more heavier than I thought it would be. But it is solid.

      Yeah your spot on! I was actually surprised as well! I know some people think their products are overpriced but the quality and precision are just unmatched !

      the domino is a bit too heavy for comfort actually haha. But I guess it does mean it will last well, lots of solid anodized steel!

    I think this model is the best value and sized just right for many applications. Buying the remote BT on/off switch is a must have option too. The BT function will be added to my
    older, larger CT33 because the remote switch saves me from a 10 foot walk, LOL.

      So true! That’s the best feature IMO! I am planning on getting a Kapx in the future and wondering if it would be worth another dedicated dust extractor for it… so many options 🤷🏻‍♂️

    I do smaller renovation and handyman jobs. I don’t even have a small van, just a little Subaru. have an old Fein 9-20-26 that I’ve had forever. Survived being floated across the house during Sandy. Still works great. But on the heavy, bulky side. PITA to lug around jobs up stairs and into small bathrooms. So I’m ready to keep that for the shop and big, rough jobs and get a small Festool to fit my small transport and job type. The CT Sys vac looked like a great solution, but upon further research, it seems a bit raspy and underpowered . Plus a new corded version is pretty much extinct. So I was “looking” at the CT MIDI vs CT 26 ( pity I can’t “look” at any- I am local to the ToolNut, but they permanently eliminated their candy store of a showroom during covid ). I know the MIDI and MINI share the same guts and the 26 and up all share a slightly more powerful set of guts. If I already have a big, quiet, but bulky shop vac can I get by with a smaller MIDI for taking into customer’s homes? Or will I miss out by not going a little bigger

      I love the MIDI foe that reason. It’s smaller, portable and with the HEPA filter it’s great for smaller jobs at customers houses. I got it when I purchased the Domino and the added plus of it fitting in my makita track saw (does not lock in) Hope that helps Chris!

Now that I have the ct midi, I gather that fein dust with my festool and will sanding exclusively with fein sanders connected to my hepa dust extractor

    Can you run this without a bag? I'm looking to get one but don't particularly want to waste expensive bags just to run a domino or a flush router

    • @saltwaterandsawdustwoodwor3415
      @saltwaterandsawdustwoodwor3415  Рік тому +1

      The problem I would see with that is the HEPA filter is exposed in that space as well so it wouldn’t be nearly as effective. On the other hand I have see other guys reuse the bags. Cutting a slit in one end, empty and tape it bag up with Tyvek tape.

      Be prepared to buy expensive HEPA filters because they will clog - that bag is what makes the entire system work seamlessly.

    Nice video, very clear, but the quality of the audio recording is not great. If you want to make more videos I would recommend a different way of recording audio. You sound very distant, which is unpleasant since I turned up the volume and then the loud music started playing :/
    But all in all it was pretty helpful.
