Remarkably mature 15 year old Helen gives an upbeat performance - she never let the early fame turn her head , one of the reasons she has remained popular.....

My three year old grandson is on my lap watching these wonderful Helen Shapiro songs! Trying to break him into the great music of PAPAS days!

Good job! Popular music these days is absolute trash. I feel like I was born in the wrong decade.

This is one of the first songs recorded on Black and White TV! Think Helen was 13 or 14 years old with that beautiful voice she has!

Even then, director Richard Lester had that distinguishing touch that helped set apart "A Hard Day's Night" from all the other pop music movies, such as, ironically, this one.

These tunes were mercifully short, or way too short, depending on your view!

If you haven't heard of Helen Shapiro, it's only an indication of inferior knowledge, nothing else.

She shot to fame at the age of 14 in 1961, a year before this recording and for a 14 year old she had a pretty amazing voice.

I'm a 65yr-old American guy who never heard of her before catching "It's Trad Dad" on Turner Movie Classics several years ago. Despite preferring pop/rock that is much bolder (been a Cream fan since the age of 11, not to mention the Animals), I was instantly spellbound by Helen's commanding voice and very polished stage manner. Been a big fan ever since. She is an unknown gem with respect to the American pop music audience.
