Walking through a Rainstorm to Tralee (Day 28 & 29)

- I initially planned to finish my Ireland walk on the Great Blasket Island before the last ferry to the island on 1st October. However, this walk took on a life of its own last month and I ended up walking through places I never expected to see. I never intended to walk to Gorey, New Ross or Waterford or to visit Cobh, Beal na Blath, Gougane Barra etc. With this in mind, I’ve known for many weeks that I would not make the ferry in time and instead, I decided to keep following my nose through West Cork and perhaps finish the walk with Tom Crean in Annascaul. But once I reached Annascaul, I was feeling quite happy and decided to keep walking which means I will keep going for now🙏
