Amara Raja has land issues in Andhra Pradesh and people complain about pollution.
After following their conf. calls, they still think fuel vehicles co exist and the need for Li ion batteries is not a priority now - they want to wait and watch before proceeding.

Why no one is talking about Reliance here, Reliance has the upper hand in ev battery research and development. They have both lithium and sodium ion technology. My bet is on reliance on this
Ambri in the US, Faradion in the UK, and Lithium Werks in the Netherlands are among Reliance’s partners in the energy storage industry, Reliance is expanding its footprints in sodium-ion batteries through Faradion, and in LFP batteries through Lithium Werks
Also possibility of hydrogen cell which are replaceable and cuts charging time
Also green hydrogen can be produced in india itself
There is already new technology “ Solid state battery” which is end game. Quantum Scape is bringing the production in FY 25. 80 layer fast charging, and higher life span
LFP is safe due to low energy density good for stationary application where weight is not a constraint but actually it costs more due to more material per Wh. China is phasing out LFP and dumping to India as you can not go beyond 150wh/kg .NMC is having high energy density upto 300wh/kg a bit less safe . But more economical due to less material per Wh . For moving applications NMC has less kurb weight and better efficiency for vehicle .

2 key points missing
1. Who is expecting to refine lithium after extraction
Reliance and Rajesh exports are basically refining companies and their interest could be refining business and not assy business
But with govt PLI schedule they want to enter so that they may secure the potential opportunities to become refiners
2. Nothing is discussed on cathode manufacturing plan
NMC or LFP cathode should be made by Indian company only
Anode is ok because India has surplus graphite
Maybe because the video is purely on battery manufacturers?
