I absolutely adore his voice in this cover. It's so straightforward and sincere. He doesn't try to do too much. You can tell the song means a lot to him.

I'm older than I care to admit and I have been reading/writing poetry since I was 13 years old, and this remains one of the greatest lines I've ever come across. Simple, yet elegant. Always loved CC and Bayside, and upon finding the CC cover comp that this is from and seeing that Bayside covered this song, I nearly had a heart attack. Two great things that go great together. Sorry that I'm rambling, I've had a bit of wine tonight... ;-)
Sadly the entire Dead and Dreaming tribute album has fallen out of just about everyone's memory. Even people I know who loved these bands have never even heard of the album. I fucking loved it to death and can only find copies on Amazon.
