    Love your enthusiasm, especially for an older type car we grew up with.

    I'm really glad you are enjoying your blast from the past. Back in the day, we had the coolest cars ever, and they all made me feel just like you did with this family car.
    You have a natural liability that several times during your video had me laughing along with your fun attitude.
    I subscribed because of your clip here today. When you started the clip, I thought you were going to start dancing. It was very entertaining, you are a great guy and very fun to watch.
    Thank you!

    Love seeing how excited younger people get so excited about the older car's of my generation when I was younger. I think I was 21 when that car came out but it brought back memories because my mom also had a 93 Chrysler New Yorker Brogham she purchased brand new but hers was black with red velor interior black landau roof and red pinstripe fully loaded like yours with 1 difference. She paid for the higher end stereo package which was the infinity stereo system and speakers. That was top of the line stereo system Chrysler had for their cars at the time. It came standard in the Chrysler Imperial that was available for a couple of years. That was the most expensive car for that time. I got my driver's license in my mom's New Yorker 😂. I always loved the hideaway headlights. My mom when I was a kid in the 80s had a 1976 Chrysler New Yorker Brogham & that had hideaway headlights lol. my mom always had a New Yorker except for when it came in K car platform she said it was hideous & wasn't a real New Yorker or luxury car. It was just a higher end Dodge Aries lol. Anyways good luck with your car it's a great riding car & as long as you keep up regular oil changes & maintenance you will have it for many years 😊

    Nicely done. It is really good to see younger people interested in older cars. The camera work was really well done as well. Totally enjoyed the video. You could tell by the smile on your face that you really like this car. The new Yorker was Chrysler's answer to the Cadillac or Lincoln Town car, so you really are driving the best Chrysler had at the time. Enjoy.

    I have a 91 my mom purchased in 2000 one owner. Very light maintenance, if your airsprings still work that’s super great. DO NOT OVER LOAD THE CAR. If those spring pop , they are no longer made. Have to choose aftermarket conversion kits.

    If you service the transmission only use Chrysler specific fluid- ATF+4. A lot of the Ultra Drive transmission dipsticks were mislabeled as being Dextron compatible and they are not.

    • @Underappreciatedclassics
      @Underappreciatedclassics 11 місяців тому

      I’ll add to this, don’t ever flush the transmission. Only drop the pan and change the fluid and filter. If you do flush it, you can damage the clutches

      Great advice! The Chrysler 41-TE /A604 Ultradrive can be a decent transmission. They were widely misunderstood. Would you believe that there are less moving parts in this transmission than the 3 speed predecessor?

    • @Underappreciatedclassics
      @Underappreciatedclassics 10 місяців тому

      @@Mark-eu4ds I would. It was one of the most advanced transmissions in its day

    Redo the vinyl roof and put a quality base clear coat paint job on it and you'll have a gorgeous car young man. Those cars looked great, rode like you were on a cushion of air. This car is still back when a Chrysler was a Chrysler. Luxury. I'm very impressed you like it.

    Hi, congratulations on your car. Nice video in which you showed almost everything except the engine. That would be interesting too. I'm looking forward to the further videos about the car...
    The US cars are always interesting for us to see in Germany, because they were not sold here, with very few exceptions.
    Best regards from Germany to Pennsylvania/USA

    I used to have this car, it was a great car and mine came with the upgraded Chrysler infinity radio and it came with a cassette on how to use the radio and all of its features 🙂

    Wow Tanner, I LOVE your extremely fancy K-Car. Once you paint it and get a new vinyl top, it would look stunning. Those NYer 5th Avenues were such beautiful and stylish cars. I can't wait to see it finished. What color is it? It's hard to tell from the video. Would you keep it the same color?

    Leather is so overrated. You lucked out with the velour. So underrated. If it was 1993, I would have liked the digital dash that never seemed to come with the 5th Ave model, but good luck finding replacement parts for that. I just bought one. Silver on burgundy velour. Could do with about 50 more hp (I don’t need a race car) but I’ve had 3 already and they’re fantastic cars.

      I touched on it just briefly, but I can give a more in depth view of it in the coming update videos. I just have to fix the speedometer part so that it looks it’s best.

      I love your Chrysler New Yorker I remember my favorite Aunt had a beautiful silver one, I can remember renting one to take on vacation it was so luxurious. I've always been a Chrysler/ Jeep guy. I am on my third Chrysler 300, I had a 2005, 2011 & now I have a 2018. I may get a 2023 since this is this is the last year they are making them. The last of the full size American luxury car, it's very bittersweet. I've never had any issues with any of my Chrysler's, enjoy your new car & I can't wait to see it once you get it refurbished.

    Ouch try not to slam the trunk you will jam the electric pull down. Close it until it clicks and it will close it completely. Eventually if you keep slamming the trunk it will jam trunk won't close & the pull down motor will keep running clicking & clicking. Caddilac came out with the electric trunk pull down years ago

    Is this your first car? Some of your comments about “cool stuff” indicate you don’t have much experience. Good luck getting everything fixed.

      This is my 4th vehicle that I have ever owned. My first was a 2005 Chevy Cobalt which still had roll up windows. That one was t-boned and I got a Dodge Caliber. I believe the dodge was a 2007 I can’t remember exactly it might have been a little newer than that. That car had a technical error which caused the whole car to shut down and I had to get rid of it. I traded it in for a 2009 Nissan Versa which has served me well for the last 5 years. I put a lot of miles on the versa and will be giving it to a friend in need of a car as soon as I get the technical fixes done to the Chrysler. Which doesn’t need much at all. Everything else I will invest in as I can in time.
