@@Spindatt DMN, someone bought these frames in Italy out some years ago. Since not to buy anymore in Europe. And now they do appear in the US? Is producing on their own/ reproduction no option...?

The frames kinda suck they’re not stiff enough way too much flexing on the rear end But they’re perfect if you’re new to cycling good value for money to get you going
What I really like is that they don't penalize the looks and geometry like other companies do for spending less money. I don't care what anyone says, aesthetics is so important. If you like the way a bike looks, you'll be more inclined to ride it.
Totally with you.... a stock bike just isn't 'your' bike till you've changed a few things. While wheels and tyres are always the sensible upgrade and, a wise man once said, a change in tyres is the biggest bang for buck upgrade to any bike both in performance AND in visual appearance... I also find that changing out the contact points for ones I like has a big difference in how much the bike feels like 'mine' when I ride it. All in all... job well done. Enjoy!

Held off on X because of geo. Was going to be looking at getting a Jake but with this release, I think I have my new prime choice in the X Ambition when it's time to purchase.
I never understood the logic of flared drop bars. The whole point of riding in the drops is the aerodynamic stance. Also, you'd think that added bar width off road would make more sense at the brake hoods.
4:40 The enve bars marked 44cm are 44 on the drops, and I think 41 or 39 on the hoods. They're my favorite kind of bars but I unfortunately can't afford them, they're perfect in the 40cm size for me which is technically a 35cm bar but because of budgetary constraints I'm stuck with a MOB Sprint handlebar that is 38 top, 40 drop which is a bit off of my preferred 35-6cm wide bars. But hey I can still kinda reach the brakes on 38-40cm drops so it's cool.

I really wanted a Poseidon but after the import taxes and foolish shipping cost as soon as it crossed that border the cost effectiveness of this brand was over $1500. Poseidon needs to get a warehouse in Canada.
That is pretty brutal. And I thought the U.S. import fees for completed bikes was crazy expensive. I was all set to buy a Mason Exposure gravel bike out of the UK, but the $5400 retail price suddenly ballooned into almost $7000 with import fees (and I'm not even sure if that included shipping). It is kind of disgusting that governments are imposing luxury tax rates for sporting good items related to health and fitness which should be incentivized with low import fee (tax) rates, rather than penalized by high rates, as clearly health and fitness is a social good which governments should be encouraging.... but anyway... getting off topic there.
Awesome channel and bike video,I love the Poseidon raw Aluminum frame and for fork,it looks like Stainless Steel, this is my favourite Budget gravel bike I've seen.Well done on part's upgrade with over half a lbs saved is pretty good.Safe riding.💯👌🏻✌🏻

Considering this bike. I have a really nice second wheelset for my current Montercross bike and I'm kinda tired of switching the wheelset between rides. This bike would make a great permanent home for the nice wheels as I am assuming a bulk of the weight you could shave off the 25 pounds is likely in the wheels.
I'd say wheels and cassette are the biggest culprits of weight for sure. I had my original X down to something like 20.3lbs with some well thought out parts thrown on it. I imagine you could easily get one of these down to 18lbs IF you wanted to spend the money

Any chance you could weigh that Prowheel crankset and its matching bottom bracket and post the weight in the description or in a reply? I received my Redwood not long ago and a White Industries crankset and BB is on my list of weight shaving upgrades. That is a really pricey upgrade and I am trying to determine how much weight I can realistically shave off. Supposedly, the aluminum fork is by far the heaviest single component on the Redwood (other than the frame), and swapping it to carbon might be even better bang for the buck than a new wheelset. Still deciding, because I like the idea of a super tough fork for some rougher bikepacking I have planned. Wheelset is my third upgrade. I suspect the fork alone accounts for most if the weiggt difference between the Redwood and the lughter X and Ambition models.
Thanks! Ehh... 1050grams (with bottom bracket?) is not as bad as I thought. A White Industries BB and crankset swap would only save me about 280 grams. That's over a half a pound - not bad, but clearly for the money there are better upgrades. 700c Hunt wheelset and a new carbon fork it is, I guess.

Well, I would not say it is aesthetically similar, however a really great budget UK gravel bike is the Pipedream A.L.I.C.E.
