    1 thing also,to get the 6 ton over the 3 ton is look at the legs on the 6/12 ton vs the 3 ton

    6 ton are taller than you need for some cars. Theres a use for all sizes which is why they make various sizes.

    doing an entire drivetrain swap in my garage so I picked two sets of these up. definitely overkill but the extra space should make it loads easier.

      Very smart move. I have a swap I’m doing currently, and as much room as you can get is worth it!

      @@tdtgarage1697 yeah I had initially bought a pair of US Jacks for $270 and with the HF Memorial Day 25% off I was able to get four 12 tons for $250. Definitely worth it IMO.

      @@tdtgarage1697 hey I don't know if you could help I just replaced my wheel brake cylinder because it was bad and leaking now my breaks are spongy again and the rear left wheel is starting to randomly lock up again what else could it be just did the master cylinder and brake booster it's a 94 with no abs and it's the old dash and body. But Also the jack is a big upgrade from the little 1.5 ton trolley jack I borrow from my grandpa

      @@str8upn0l1fe6 definitely need to bleed your brake system and get the air out of the lines. Any time you open up your brake system, it needs to be done. That will fix the sponge. Lots of videos on how to do it. Not that hard. As for your wheel locking up. I would jack it up and see if you can see what ls going on to pin point the issue while spinning it by hand.

    I noticed that is a Cadillac in the back. I have a 1965 four-door sedan. I have a flat tire but can’t get the car up high enough to take the tire off the rear. Got any suggestions.

    • @tdtgarage1697
      @tdtgarage1697  11 місяців тому

      If it has the rear skirts on it then you could Jack it up from the center of the rear end. Then put it on jack stands so you can get the skirts off and let the rear end hang freely to allow more room.

      My car sits pretty low without airbags so when I try to jack it up it stops if I’m jacking up from the side or from jacking up from behind the same thing happens. If anybody knows a good mechanic to work on these cars let me know I’m located in Pomona California.

    considering 12 ton.
    do you have to max out that daytona jack to get those 12 ton stands to fit under a car?

    • @tdtgarage1697
      @tdtgarage1697  Рік тому +1

      That’s a good question. No it doesn’t need to be max out. But if you needed the highest setting on the stand it might become a issue.

      If you are needing to use 12 ton Jack stands most likely a 3 ton jack isn’t going to cut it anyway

      Daytona makes them. Harbor Freight sells them. Why do you act like Harbor Freight is the one making them? It’s a Daytona brand for a reason
