Too bad it's the turbo 3.5. Now... If it had the 5.0L V-8.... I'd consider it. Ford would like you to trade this in before 60K miles before the Turbos/water pump/coolant needs repairs.
Hands down the best car reviewer on UA-cam! Love how you show us the smallest details as well! and it’s always organized, it’s not like a box of chocolates! lol we DO know what comes next :) thanks Joe!
Careful with the power output statement. The standard Stealth Edition only comes with 400 HP. The Stealth Performance Edition comes with the 440 HP high-output V6. One way to tell the difference is the stealth performance edition has red brake calipers but this one does not, so it only has 400 HP. The Timberline also has the 440 HP high output V6.
The midsize less expensive Nissan Pathfinder can tow up to 6,000 pounds. I still rather the Ford though. But, your other review sealed it for me to purchase the Jeep Wagoneer instead.
I agree Joe, get rid of the shiny chrome on the belt line, it would look so much better. Dual exhaust would really make it competitive with the Taho.l agree that it needs a heads-up display for that price
@@watsonanthony8438 I understand the benefits of eco-boost. However, if you research all mechanics, eight out of 10 would recommend the 5.0 for long-term reliability.
@@JohnR9965not true. The raptor f150 has the eco boost. And also the Taurus Sho had it. The fastest car made by ford is the GT Supercar also has the eco boost. Try again
@@watsonanthony8438 yeah I had a Sho. Piece of shit design with PTO junk. Terrible visibility even the cops hated the Taurus. If you don’t have catchcans on ecoboost engines good luck. Bye bye longevity.
Ford Expedition should get a redesign in 2025. Heard rumors of it having a Range Rover inspired back end. Should be interesting.........Ford mixed with Range Rover........who knew 🤔
I like it. The chrome trim doesn't bother me with this silver paint but I'd like to see it with the black out or dark chrome. I think this would be a nice machine to take some long road trips in plenty of comfort. Price wise though... little bit much for what it is so I might have to wait for a slightly used one and let owner #1 take the hit. Super nice flat folding capability. I don't like the dinky rear window wiper. Would rather have a much larger one that is hidden up high. Also, you did not go over any interior lighting... something that is nice to have especially on a black interior. What is the fuel tank capacity and range and does the ecoboost drink regular? Also does it have a spare tire under the rear?
New qx80 is gonna be amazing though. Gtr variant engine , twin turbo v6 . Ecoboost are potent , I’ve owned a 2020 explorer st and now a 2023 expedition limited with burgundy trim , with full chrome delete in iconic silver . I have 14k miles left on my power train warranty , and when it’s up - the expedition will get a few tasteful mods that’ll make it really get up and go !
This is an interesting version of the stealth. Having the 12 inch and tvs on the back. I pick one up tomorrow and it’s 15.5 inch and no back TVs. Kinda like the manual buttons but oh well! Excited!
They REALLY need to quit classifying these things as light duty trucks. We need smaller, more practical vehicles in the city. Also, this vehicle is still an inefficient old school gas vehicle.
Amazing they can get 16 MPG in a 5800 lb monster like this. I also hate the lettering on the hood. Stupid car companies thik we have no taste, and want to advertise their products... we don't!.... In these last days of the ICE vehicle, the vehicles are quite effective. Wish the American car companies could stop with their black leather fascination. Volvo in their top trims now offers wool blends; which are warmer in the winter, and cooler in the summer. Wool is better than leather.
Nah they did it right with the chrome trim. If you mute everything you may as well go base trim XL! It goes with all the other small bits of shiny like the ring around the outer wheel, the writing on the Ford emblems, the chrome lug nuts, the chrome bits inside the lighting housings, etc. Again, if you all want completely black/muted/boring, get the base and save like 40K. Sheesh.
I have an Expedition Max Limited. They are nice trucks but the transmissions are junk and guaranteed to break before 100k miles. Mine was already rebuilt at 50k miles and everything else feels loose. :/
"Why didn't they make it dark chrome?" Because that's a difficult/expensive finish to achieve and it's not as durable as polished stainless steel (or chromed, low-carbon steel). Who wants to return a new car just because the finish on their trim isn't lasting?
As a european I will not buy any of these. But I love to see your reviews. It looks rather cool to watch that automotive-world is rather bigger that you local "world". Very nice. Want one of these big apples to drive.
I bought one of these brand new, in January. I love it. I too, zonk the chrome trim. While it does tie in with the machined lip on the rims, it's just out of place. I got mine with the 15.5" center screen with the complete digital gauge cluster. The only thing I really don't like, is that Fords don't have a HUD. I had it on my Yukon Denali, and fell in love with it. (Ford does offer it now, apparently). I am happy with the 400 hp. I thought I'd miss out on the extra 40 hp offered in the Timberline, but I don't. Overall, it's been a great purchase.
love the analog gauges (and digital screens that mimic their look is OK too, as long as it still looks like an instrument cluster with gauges.) But I really don't like this trend of having an open area in front of the driver with an "information" screen that just presents everything in a boring way. It's the simple things with me, I love the glow of a nice instrument panel at night and stuff and these screens just don't do it for me. The worst examples of what I'm talking about is like what's in the Toyota bZ4X/Prius and the Subaru reskin. GROSS.
The middle a/c vents are too small I hate that. The stupid button to open the glove box needs to be thrown somewhere else. A/c is really important for those who live in hot areas n nobody really speaks about it
Yeah, the reclining rear seats are nice. They're going conversation van mode in this one. You should do a couple trailer mobile home reviews one day. They should have a couple 23-2024 models out.
I like this Expedition with the Stealth Appearance package I agree there should be dark chrome or black trim on the doors and it should have quad tip exhaust!

Look at the size of that thing 😆
You nailed it on the chrome clashing. I’d be taking it right away to a detail shop to get the chrome deleted
