The 6.1 jeep was a sleeper for it's time. A few engine mods an the 6.1 hemi wakes up ! I love driving mine around town, only (3 in my area) it sure does turn heads ! The cam and exhaust make it a fun daily 😎
I had my 2006 for 7 years, some one hit me and it was totaled. Went and tried a c5 z06 and couldn't wait to get back to my jeep srt. Now I have an 08. Glad to see someone making content on the wk1 srt8!

Just got my 2008 srt8 Jeep last month started tearing it down for a new Cam and updated lifters after I got it with a nasty knocking and ticking sound. Thank you for the tips

2012-15 had the embossed SRT on the wheels but stopped at 2016.. Great jeep! Great video!!

@James28R Dang!! Really? That's crazy mine only say it on the center caps now, but you do have a 17 and if they're the spider monkey wheels that totally makes sense!
My favorite thing about my 2009 Jeep SRT8 is being able to trash bozos & leaving them behind like tiny ants in my rear view mirror. 🤣

I love ford lightnings my father had a red 01 and now having grown up I want to buy a red 03/04 so seeing that outro was a nice touch for me haha currently wanting a trail blazer ss or wk1 srt8 but I should probably hold off on that till I get a lightning but the 4wd would be a lot nicer around here.

Girlfriends love to have you sell your sports car that you had when you met them. It's a point of bragging for them. Bonus points if you complain about selling it years later because you miss it or it went sky high in value. You don't need a sports car if you are going to start a family. Is something they might say. SRT8 or any Hemi powered car is a loophole. Even though when I was a kid every family car had a big engine.
GM has a few loophole cars too, 2016 SS,Pontiac G8 GT & GXP + any Cadillac CTS-V any trim lol besides the coupes
Had 2010 srt8 same color, sold it for a 2012 srt8. Looking to get a 2010 again. Regrets!

I have an 06 as well. Do u know any good shops in CT?? I don't trust the dealers to work on mine after the dealings I've had.
Honestly same with me. I’ve been taking it to a local shop called Southgreen Auto in hartford. Ask for George if you go, as he is really familiar with HEMI engines
