First off IU wrote the lyrics and produced the MV. So she is 100% the create force behind this MV. IU is not just the queen of kpop, according to Rolling Stone Magazine she is one of the greatest singers of all time, which I totally agree with. There is no one around today who can vocally achieve or create what IU does and meaning so effortlessly. I find it hard to believe that you are reacting to kpop and have never listened to IU. Suga, said on his show, you can't talk about kpop without talking about IU. Since 2014 the New York Times has written about her twice. In 2014 saying she was showing the way forward for kpop. And then again in 2018 listed her 9th on their list of the top 25 most influential music artist in the world. She is the most successful singer in Korea period. She debuted at 15 in 2008. Korea's first music charting service started in 2010. Since 2010 IU had had over 32 #1 hits more than twice as many as the next closest artist ( including groups). With this release she has tied BTS with the most songs debuting at #1. She is the only female to have a song debut at #1. When ever she releases music she dominates the charts.
