  • At the end of February 2024, the Czech Republic was visited for the first time by a global expert on agriculture and its impact on the climate and the environment - prof. Frank Mitloehner of UC Davis, California, director of the UC Davis CLEAR Center.
As part of the week-long trip, he lectured at the Mendel University in Brno and the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague on the topic "COWS AND EMISSIONS - MYTHS AND FACTS", where he discussed not only the options that farmers have for improving their carbon footprint and sustainability, but above all corrected a number of false claims that are associated with agriculture.
Co-speaker, Steve Winnington of World Wide Sires, discussed genetic and breeding practices to improve the efficiency of cattle breeding and thus reduce its greenhouse gas production.
For this occasion, a recording of the professional discussion of the two lecturers moderated by MTS representatives was created and now is available to watch. You can also find recordings of both seminars (in Czech language) on MTS UA-cam.
We would again like thank prof. Frank Mitloehner and Steve Winnington for visiting Czech Republic and the World Wide Sires with organization of the whole event.
