The Peterson Farm Bros are made up of Greg (32), Nathan (30), and Kendal (27) Peterson. We are 5th generation family farmers who farm together in Kansas with our parents David and Marla and our wives BrookeAnna (Greg's), Riley (Nathan's) and Caelan (Kendal's). My goodness, what a temperature shift you are getting out there! Makes our NY Catskill temperature shift look like amateur stuff. We are whooping it up in February if it gets above 40F. That was fascinating to learn how you accustom your cattle to mixed feed from grass. (I don't run cattle, myself). It reminded me of how deer shift their diets in winter from summer browse to winter browse. Radically different diet, but their genetics know what to do to transition...and farmers have learned, over the centuries, how to transition the ruminants in their care, as well. I didn't actually think about this until this video.
I absolutely love learning from your channel. And my heart melted seeing your daughter learning and applying the crucial knowledge of being a future farmer. Speaking of which, I look forward to all of the Peterson Brothers (and sister) offspring moving into FFA programs - if they want to, of course. Does your community also have a 4H program for future homemakers?

Did you know that you can get a Mulchler (grinder) for the front of the skid steer and it will cut down and mulch brush & small trees clearing out the fence line right-of-ways to keep from having electric fence problems
