i also find as a handler its easier to work on one rule at a time. it can be overwhelming as a new dog owner and remembering what your goal or your focus is it can relieve the pressure
In my experience, rescue dogs often have no play drive (depending on their past lives of course) it may be completely alien to them and my current dog was no exception. 3 weeks in and she is OBSESSED with her ball! I'm convinced that, if I fell down a well, she'd rescue her ball and leave me! 😂
I love watching the full length of play! It's such a great realistic representation for how long the trainings/play sessions take instead of it being cut down.
Arrow is an amazing dog. He is a quick study and has proven that he is fairly adaptable given the changes he has experienced in his short life. Logs were something he gravitated towards early on. Given where he came from I’m guessing they were his fetch and chew toy. I look forward to seeing him thrive in your care.
I'm starting right from the bottom. This video helped. Thank you! Changed my perspective. I wanted to do everything at once. I'm a week in with keeping a consistent routine with two pugs.
I absolutely love your style of training! Your videos are amazing. I have two 10 week old Rottweiler puppies. A male and a female. It is a chore, but I am determined to train them separately. Only letting them play for a few minutes a day. They have separate crates and kennels. They are both rescues, that’s why I have two. Your videos are saving my life, if not theirs 😂😂😂
I was told that tug-o'-war makes dogs aggressive. I want to know if you think this is true, or if any dogs have become aggressive through tug-o'-war? Edit: typo

For anyone wanting more info on play Micheal Ellis also has a great video on rules of play!
Love watching your vids! Any advice on how to build toy drive?
This is great. Ill be looking forward to the uploads
Love it!
He really is a big boy.
I wish my rescue would engage in play.
It's one of the things I really missed when I didn't have a dog.
I didn't know I needed this video - thank you!!!

This was a video I definitely needed to watch!
was looking forward to this video!!
Thanks!
Thanks for great video! Are there other plays or engagement that I can do outside? for a dog who has only food drive.
Does it matter if the play is inside or outside?
You can start inside then move outside
That’s a big baby right there 😊
Are you too small or that malinois is bigger than most I have seen?
How much does he weight?
How do you get him to drop the toy? My dog is at this level however he likes to resource guard things.
How much does he weigh? He looks just like my 9 month old 53 lb female but only twice as big.
excellent!
all dogs are ESL students. if you work from that idea, you can't lose.
