It's great to see Akiyo-san looking so happy in her retirement and still having fun in a climbing gym. Also I cannot believe how amazingly strong Ai-san is. Eight lead routes one after another and she looked as strong on her last climb as she did on her first. Then she sends the three boulders. Female Japanese climbing is in good hands with Ai-san and the next generation of climbers. I would also like to say thank you for the english subtitles. You guys have a large global following and I am thankful that I get to understand your content and the information you pass on. You have a great channel, I hope it stays around for a long time.
Ai is such a sweet person, she seems shy/introverted but determined and really competitive at the same time. The style she has developed it's incredible and the way she beat the shit out of the guys is freaking cool !! and she's 1,54 I love that we are the same height , so inspiring.
Akiyo will always be number one for me, since she is the one that got me into climbing. But Ai Mori is a close second. Such controlled and deliberate movement. Beautiful climbing.
I watched this video when I first got into climbing (because of Ai), but watching it now, after following both Meichi and Tomoa's progress through this year's season makes it so much sweeter. I love how encouraging you guys are with Ai and how fun the content is in general. Congrats to both Tomoa and Ai for qualifying for the olympics!! It's no easy feat in such a competitive national team.
I love how you guys make the whole thing so entertaining and fun to watch, while at the same time developing Ai's confidence in bouldering (especially doing those reachy moves!) and Tomoa's endurance in lead climbing and overcoming the pump! It seems like you have adopted a little sister into your family and it's a joy to watch your videos. I think Team Japan will go far (while clearly having a lot of fun). Gambatte!
This video was exceptional and incredibly funny. Tomoa's comments and facial expressions were hilarious. The scene where Meichi jumps for the transition and no one else did had us crying in laughter. Great great video!!!
I love Ai. I have an affinity towards petite athletes because I'm short myself. Ai and Jpn badminton player Yamaguchi Akane are my favorites to support in their respective sports and both have such amazing endurance. Glad to see Ai back in the competitive circuit again

It's crazy how much endurance Ai has. It makes sense now that she can climb slowly but also suddenly speed up in the end in lead comps. She's got endurance to do it. In part 2, it really shows Ai's at a disadvantage due to her being shorter.
Ai is young so she's probably a bit shy but she seems so modest and humble. It's just so incredible how reserved she is after absolutely smashing each climb!

i am finally getting back into watching ifsc competitions and i just discovered this channel! thank you so much for posting such fun videos and having them captioned in english so that fans like me can follow along :) i really love being able to see two of my idols (akiyo and tamoa -- i started watching ifsc in 2017) having fun in the climbing gym without their competition faces on. i never knew how silly they could be when they're not so focused on the competition! i don't know the other two on this channel very well, but i am excited to get to know them and their climbing better through their videos!! and congratulations to mori ai for her performance in the olympic finals last week, especially on the lead and boulder 3! it was such a pleasure to watch her climb -- her climbing style is definitely my favorite out of the finalists, and it's so cool to see how smooth she makes all her movements look!

Especially love the tall vs short beta on the slab, and I really like the setting- it’s interesting and there’s some obvious effort to make it fair (across different heights). Been a big fan of Ai Mori since first seeing her in the bouldering world cup finals (partly because I’m a similar height haha). Yeah, she kicks the "It's too far" excuse in the dust. Now it's "It's too far and I'm not Ai Mori" for me :D. I love seeing her climb, she was my favorite comp climber in 2021. Glad she is back on the comp scene.

この動画を改めて見ると、秋彩ちゃんの能力は現行ルールでは彼女の限界を引き出せないくらい持久力に寄っているのでしょうね。
陸上のマラソン的な持久力勝負の競技がもしあったら、無敵かもしれません。
そういう意味では啓代さんとの対談で、「練習のほうが好き」と言っていたのも納得です。
この動画が面白いのは、そんな秋彩ちゃんの能力を垣間見せてくれるからでしょう。
今後、競技のルールや課題の傾向も変わっていくのでしょうし、秋彩ちゃんも智亜さんもそれに合わせて進化していくのが楽しみです。

Definitely need a round 2! This was so fun! Ai has been one of my favourite climbers since the Olympic qualifiers and it's great to see her in action
Women's climbing competitions are a little less fun to watch since Noguchi Akiyo retired from competing, she has such an amazing climbing style.
