- 1 month ago I got asked to be a part of the Canon R5 II launch campaign, to test the cinematic features of the new camera and direct a film with the 8K RAW capabilities, so I met up with Slick Baum to tell his story a put his love for aviation and flying.

This must have been an amazing time shooting this film. Most people take for granted the opportunity we have by living in a time like this. For thousands of years humanity was denied the gift of flight. The feeling, the views, the opportunity to see the world, it changes everything.

It's been over a year since I last flew, and every day I itch to return to the sky. Flight school changed my life, and I hate that something as superficial as money is holding me back. But mark my words one day I will do it, I will find a way, and feel that freedom and wonder again. This was a cinematic masterpiece and has absolutely served as a way to rekindle that spark that's been choked of oxygen for the past year- can't wait to get back up there.

What I love most about this short film is the fact that it's not the type of very flashy and impressive transitions clip. To me it's great composed shots and cinematography with incredible image quality based on the dramatic and epic feeling of standing up in the sky. Incredibly beautiful and full of feeling!
