For my first walkthrough I ever made on UA-cam I'm pretty happy how this one turned out. Hope it helps anyone still wanting to get into these old Digimon Games!
Thanks my dude! I actually played this game when I was 13 or so and found it to be really hard. And the worst part is that I got the red digimon to lvl 100 thinking it will digivolve at an appropriate level like Pokémon. And now more than 15 years later I am able to achieve my childhood goal and digivolve! Great game even though it’s ancient
You are far from alone. Many of us were confused by many things in the first few Digimon games. Glad you could finally realize your mega form and now you get a while new Digimon to go through it all again.
thanks so much for this. started playing this on my steam deck lately (for the nostalgia) and i really wanted to unlock a digivolution(?) right away cause I never unlocked any as a kid, not counting the free one u get for another starter digimon. pathing was super helpful. went in at lv 22 solo and came out lv 24 with 3 or 4 minutes to spare.
This Guide is so rad man. Cut out all the fluff, showing the exact locations of the invisible walls, explanations being very clear. A small amount of comedy added in. It took me forever to even beat this game by the time I had I completely forgot sidequests were even an option lmao
Thank you these guides can take a bit to make so I am glad they're helping a lot of people. There are a lot of side quests available but most hive pretty pitiful rewards. This is the main one that gives a real reward if you are willing to go back to level 1.
i played this game 2 times without a guide thinking that this was perfection... Apparently i was wrong and thats why i missed many stuff. Thanks for the guide! You really saved me from making the same mistake for the third time.
This is one of those old game classics where it is not very nice with hidden things that you have no way of really knowing about. Glad I could help ad enjoy your new form.
Correct only player one unlocks the new form. Therefore you do have to get them far enough in the story to free that digi elf and unlock the quest again.
Glad I could help. I don't want to know how many tries it would take someone to figure all that out on their own because of that timer. Enjoy being level 1 again and experience it all over.
can I do the undead yard on my starter digimon AND the digimon i unlock when i get lvl 16? not sure if it's just 1 per difficulty play through and i have to choose carefully
I know it works if you do Undead Yard as a different rookie than the one you started as that unlocked at 16. Because I started as a Veemon, but changed to Guilmon and got Guilmon's mega instead. So it appears you can get others, but I have not personally confirmed it. I think other forms are normally gained through Undead Yard and Item Road on different difficulties.
@@Rordrik Ah ok. yea I started with Agumon and will be doing the undead yard on normal diff with Dorumon. I was curious if once i complete the run on dorumon and unlock garurumon, can I hop on agumon and do undead yard AGAIN on normal diff and unlock wargreymon? That would be awesome if i could.
It should allow you to retry. If you cannot reload because you made a new save sometimes this game tracks things in a game session. Turning the console off and on again might help.
@@MasonIovino I figured that might help. If you break the monster spawners resetting the game will bring them back. That is also how it tracks trying to get a signature weapon you can't turn the console off.
The only requirements for the Digi-Elf to allow you to go to the Undead Yard is to have unlocked a second form. This is usually done by reaching level 16 and unlocking another rookie form. There are also several digi-elves in that area make sure to talk to the one in the back left of that area.
So long as you did not unlock the mega form it should be repeatable. Just talk to the same Digi-Gnome and they should change the gate again for you to go back.
Well done glad you could get your new form. I am not very familiar with playing this game solo. Since it's one of the few Digimon games I can play with friends I generally do.
Purple ones? Are you referring to the Mecha Rogue 1's and 2's? They are technically not Digimon, but beings made specifically to spread the X Virus. The little ones only spawn in the secret rooms in the challenge and the walkers are on the second floor. Does that answer your question? I'm not sure.
There are three steps to unlocking the Undead Yard. 1) Rescue Digi-Elf number 3 on the Nume Nume River 2) Get your Digimon up to at least level 16 in order to unlock your second rookie form (though higher levels are recommended to complete it) 3) Speak to the Digi-Elf in the back left corner on the upper level in the Main Lobby.

Thank you so much for this guide! I got it first try with my Guilmon and am so happy with my H Kabuterimon X ^^
Always glad to hear that it helped more people.
It is weird to go back to level one, but those megas are so cool.
thanks a lot! because of this video I managed to beat it with 1 minute remaining with my level 26 dorumon, and get weregarurumon X 💜
Level 26 solo? Nice enjoy the fluffy boy and his new fancy wings! Glad I could help.

I am glad that I helped. It is a little tricky but if you know its tricks it's not too bad. I know I love running around as the big megas.

Thanks for the great guide! You forgot to mention at the end when you defeat the last pharaoh Mon there's a chest for 5 X data in it 😎
Oh wow, really? I didn't forget I didn't know about that at all. That is good to know, thank you for sharing.

Great video, I was following it using my Veemon and I made it in a similar time to you, winning a ClavisAngemon.
Glad you could get your Mega. I hope you get to enjoy working your way back up from level 1 in a much cooler form.
After all these years I got it thanks for the vid your the man
Glad you were able to do it. Enjoy your new mega (or ultimate for WereGarurumon) back at level 1. A whole new game almost.
I played with my friends but only I got the digivolve, do I have to repeat or what?

Love u man, you safe my childhood dreams😂
Glad it could help. Enjoy those new forms and become the greatest Digimon you can be.
Now i am playing this game again since android handhelds are all over the place now
As a handheld game to jump in and do a dungeon in a sitting it might work fairly well.
Cuma team member nya saja ya yang bisa digivolve, yang lain harus ulang lagi dari awal mengikuti misi nya dan dia harus menjadi player 1?

so i didnt finish before the timer ran out and got some bits but it wont let me try again, any ideas??

and what kind of purple digimons were like enemies? I know the mummymons, but there are no purple ones

On the second spot you said for 16 to make it 30 when your at 29 and you left at 29 😂 still loving the video though.
Ah yes, some point in editing I noticed that. The text is correct even if I said it wrong lol.
