I'm not gonna lie, I actually really like the colour combo post-morph! It's kind of vanilla custard and strawberry cake-ish. ^^ The finished one is also really pretty, but I think the yellow accents the pink very nicely too. :)

You should make a collection out of all your paranormal colour morphs. The theme could be "don't judge a book by its cover".
Soaper here! I have a guess!
I'd wager it was the combo of that fragrance plus the heat generated by the extra water, milk, & and TD. The fragrance likely goes yellow/scorches with excess heat, as I've encountered that phenomenon before. Plus, those milks just love to go yellow when they scorch from overheating, on top of causing overheating themselves.
The bottom layer was likely fine because it was thinner trace, and had the big advantage of setting up as a thin half-layer, losing much of that inital saponification heat out of the top before the next layer was poured. Lower water meant it would take a much higher temp to gel anyway, and less TD means it generates less heat in general.
In other words, my best guess is it was a perfect storm of it all. Milk+extra water+ all TD+ floral scent+prewarmed base layer=overheating soap. But ultimately, a fragrance that goes yellow with heat is the most frustrating kind, because it will never be noted in the manufacturer notes, and is the fastest way to kill the look of your entire batch. They also tend to form a discolored rhind around the soap as well, which is sort of their tell for some reason. I had a teakwood scent turn my blue mountain scape soap a horrid shade of puce green thanks to a hot gel phase, and I still mourn that soap! Soaped cooler my next round using it, and it was fine.
Anywho, that's my conspiracy theory about what went wrong.

My husband and I pick out cards for each other while together in the store. Then read them and put them back and go out for ice cream with the money we saved by not buying the cards. For us the big holiday is February 15th, half priced chocolate day!

the discoloration reminds me of strawberry lemonade, even if it was unintended. it's surprising to me that only one half went through gel, since it's not something I've heard about before.

You and other UA-cam soapers inspired me to make soap a few years ago. I made a lot, and it lasted us a long while, but we did eventually run out. I've had higher priorities than making soap, so we've been using "regular" soap, and it's just not as good. My husband asked me to buy some soap because he was tired of the other junk; my Royalty Soaps shipment came in yesterday. The kids are so excited, and we're all so happy to have good soap again. Also, we went to a local museum with our homeschool group the other day, and when the lady who was presenting to us about how people used to live, she asked what everyone does with their bacon grease. I was so proud of my kids going, "Save it!" When she asked what the old farmers would have done with it, they said, "Make soap!" ❤

This happened a long time ago ... I got help immediately, the divorce was soon after, and after I recovered, I've gone on to lead a very good life - much better than I would have if I stayed and "tried to fix things".

Never heard of Valentines Day boxes. In Germany Valentines Day isn't a thing. Yes, some women like getting gifts or having a nice date, but we don't decorate for this day.

Few people outside is schools and retail stores decorate for it here either.
I don't think anyone in the US does Valentines Day boxes outside of Elementary school in the US, either. But, it's kind of a fun tradition then!
Same as here in NZ, we're very much like Germany. I don't believe in it either.

It’s always been a meh holiday for me. Im 29 and I’ve never had a boyfriend (I have a master’s degree but no boyfriend!) so this holiday just reminds me how alone I am and gets me thinking there’s something wrong with me, and less hopeful for the future.

I really want to see a picture of that Eye of Sauron Valentine box! :D Now that I have a regular job again, I will be bringing back my tradition of wearing all black on Valentine's Day. Being single, that's the only way I "celebrate" the day. And maybe by buying discounted chocolate on the 15th. Lol.

Had this been an intentional pink lemonade soap it would have looked great (minus the cracks on top).
I honestly loved the yellow. It was the perfect shade to go with the pink and made me sort of think of old yellowed paper. Loved the final design too but the accidental yellow really played to my preferences.
My dad always gets my step mom, grandma, and my two sisters and I a dozen roses each for valentines day

I am SOOOOOO glad I'm not the ONLY ONE who says that phrase!!!! I'm commenting 1s in, because one of my fav sayings is "what in the bloody blue blazes?!?" And everyone teases me for it!!!! I'm 39yrs and I swear I thought I made it up, but I'm glad someone else uses a variation of it!!!

Valentine’s Day is a different day for us. This valentines will mark 16 years to the day that my husband and I met the very first time.

Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday ONLY because I help out my family's flower shop by delivering arrangements around town. I look forward to this every year and I help out Feb 13th and Feb 14th. It's so much fun! Last year was the first year that my son got to help out with delivering flowers around town. It truly is a family affair. 🤣😂
Valentine's is honestly more fun when I'm single! I ask my bestie to be my valentine and we make plans. And I plan a day with my mom too.
I'm usually a decor for every season and holiday person but I've taken a break from it while I try to get the "foundations" of my home together with my furniture and year round decor.

We don't really decorate the house, but in my house growing up valentines was always a celebration of our family's love for each other not just romantic love between my parents. They would get us a rose or chocolate and my mum would make us little valentines cards and one year my dad made dinner and he cut the carrots and roast potatoes into love heart shapes! It's really nice.

Valentines is big with kids and singles. I used to do quite a bit of decorating for the kids. And a big box of heart chocolates. Now I put out a few candles. And send my grandkids cards with a treat! I love the box idea. Will try it with my homeschool grands next year!
I just make sure my family feels apreciated on Valentine’s day. I don’t really see the romance of it, just see it as an apreciation day.

I think we make Valentines Day a bigger holiday than Christmas in our house. December is my daughter and husbands birthday month and my son is January 3 rd so everything ends up all mashed together. So we go all out for Valentine’s Day❤ Decor, baskets, special menu, desserts, flowers, candy, handmade cards, cute outfits. Everything lol

I was planning to decorate in a like. Candy Land esque theme for Valentines. Made conversation hearts magnets for my front door, but then can’t find the supplies I bought to make other things! So annoying

Valentines' day in my family has never been about the lovey dovey stuff. See, it was my granny's birthday, so the whole clan gathers at her home to celebrate it, year after year. The joke was that if we had a significant other, we either had to bring them over to granny's birthday or show up solo. The former, of course, means that SO gets introduced to the whole clan- aunts and uncles (my mom's generation), cousins (my generation), and the nieces/nephews (my cousins' kids' generation), and of course granny herself. I felt slightly embarrassed for my cousins' SOs, especially the ones that didn't end up marrying into the family, it just felt like it wasn't the right time or place to do the family introduction, regardless of whether it was just Valentines' or granny's birthday.
Granny died in 2020 of COVID, before I had any SOs to speak of. I suppose if I ever have a SO, Valentines Day would still be quite melancholic for me, no matter how romantic a date I'd have.

I like the morph videos. Also, the videos you and other creators have made in the last few years have gotten me into soap making. I give it as gifts but I also have to make sure my brother gets his soap, because he says it’s the on,y soap he can use as his hands get so dry that they crack. I use a purple clay that turns reddish brown. So, thank you! I appreciate it!

For Vday this year I am going to bake a nice cake for my family and my SO usually orders us food as a treat for dinner... we decorated our window with a few cute pink gnome window-clings. Nothing crazy but I've always loved Valentine's aesthetic

Decorating for valentines day is a wild concept to me, i didnt know anyone did it! (Well, we might decorate the table with candles if we’re doing a romantic dinner date, but not the whole house for sure!)

Pink lemonade!
QOTD: I'm not big into holidays, except making sure I get the niblings gifts for xmas. This year I especially need to save since I'm planning a honeymoon with a secret destination (fiancé has been wanting to do a rail trip, and he's also wanted to go back to Germany for years, so I found a rail tour of parts of Germany a bit out of budget but I'll manage). I'll still be making a treat or something for dessert though! He loves cheesecake, and I always have cream cheese in the freezer.
I love impulse buying a soap sampler box cause they all look so pretty!! I've been watching for a why so I'm really looking forward to my first purchase. The website was also very nice to use even on mobile ☺️ I love your videos and they've been making me really happy!

You know how the vanilla fragrance turns everything brown but you still add brown to make sure it turns brown evenly? Maybe it's something like that where it needed more mica to hold it's color

I crochet. While that’s very different from soap making, it is personal. I appreciate how much care you put into your craft and like what you said about your “royal standard”. There have been a couple of times when I try making something someone wanted and see that it is just not good enough for them or I have to do something different to make it right.
