Hey, i been looking into electric bikes lately as i need a commuter for getting to and from work this winter thats faster than my regular mountain bike and ive been looking at 2 bikes so far. Just wondering if you could give me your opinion on which would be the better option. the first one is a bit more expensive than i want to spend really but seems like a smarter choice since it is more popular, that being the RadRover 6 Plus, then the other one is from Engwe which i havent seen much about anywhere but specifically its the Engwe e26. the engwe e26 is alot cheaper... and has a better top speed reachin upwards of 30mph which sounds nice. the RadRover 6 Plus is on sale atm for around 1500 after tax but looks like it will be off sale before ill be able to buy it which is why i am looking at the engwe e26. im just unsure how well of a company engwe is when it comes to parts and stuff like that. if you or anyone could give me an opinion here it would be appreciated. shoot even if there are other bike reccomendations for anything around lets say 1000-1400 USD i wouldnt mind hearing those as well.
I have a Mokwheel and the customer service is awful! They don’t answer the phone or call you back or respond to emails. They don’t honor the warranty. If you buy a Mokwheel be prepared to be on the hook for any and all parts and repairs afterwards. Even if they say that part is covered under the warranty for 2 years.
How do these fat tire bikes handle trails? I have a commenter ebike and looking for something with full suspension to take on some moderate mountain biking trails. E-mountain bikes seem to be much more expensive ($5k+).

In the first few minutes, when you say it has full suspension, a big 20ah battery, so I thought this seems like a really good bike, so I quickly clicked the link in the description and hoping it’s around $1500, but nope, nowhere close to $1500, but at $2300, wired freedom still beats it.
@@Therberg2500 first thing first, it’s not $200 shipping like people bought it before, they increase the shipping to $325, which is a lot, even though the new 2024 wired freedom with all the upgrades and they still claimed price didn’t change, it’s still $1999, but they increased the shipping, this is where they can get more money off their customers. As far as I know, Pretty much all other e-bike companies offer free shipping, lectric, velotric, aventon, radpower, magicycle, heybike, juiced, etc, just to name a few, however, wired company is probably the only one that is not offer free shipping(they don’t even do Black Friday deal), they add shipping so that they can advertise it as just under $2000, so people think it is a great deal, but they charge $300 for shipping so they can mitigate the cost to manufacture. For some people out there, $2300 is probably still a good deal, but not to me. I might actually bought it only if it offered free shipping so that it is indeed just under $2000 before tax.
I was an early buyer and got a trailer with it. Now you get a pile of accessories for $99 more and the trailer. The only drawback for me is no rear rack available.
@@lenlaskowski7374 Having no rear rack is also one of my major concerns, but I would think a third party rack of some type would surely work on it. If you look at some of 'Mokwheel's' other bikes, like the 'Basalt XT,' it shows a rear rack that appears to just connect at the axle. It may only be rated at 20 pounds or something, but that's about all I'd need anyway. I wouldn't need to carry like a passenger on it, or anything especially heavy. I guess you've figured it out by now, though.
Great video as always. HOWEVER it always annoys me how you never use a phone holder on the handlebars for your own phone. Using one hand can be dangerous!
Class 2 and 1000w😂it looks like this company has no idea what a class 2 e-bike is. At 1000w, it’s no longer any class of e-bike according to the e-bike law.
You need to stop calling torque sensors as "pro exercise". It is forced exercise for high speed. Cadence is always optional exercise, but it is more "exercise payoff" by reducing motor/battery draw by pedalling harder and rewarding you with more range. The advantage of torque sensor is speed control with just your feet. You can still get fairly efficient exercise by using low assist mode, but cadence is better for giving you a specific target speed appropriate for the traffic/path conditions.
CA now allows 1000w motors...I believe. However, if you disengaged the speed safety protocols or can throttle above 20mph your ebike does not qualify as an electric bicycle under CA law and is now legally a motorized vehicle or motorcycle and does not benefit from lax ebike rules such as using bike lanes, paths or trails much less riding on beaches, parks or boardwalks. Not to mention this motorized vehicle must now be registered, plated and the rider must have a motorcycle license and liability insurance. Every time this Jeff Spicoli wannabe makes a video he is breaking about a dozen laws and sets a bad example for youths and minors. He is a cancer and should be arrested. These 20%ers (the old 80/20 rule) will ruin it for everyone. If youre an 80% and dont speak up dont whine when your state takes away all the advantages of using an ebike. Due to increased accidents and injuries, particularly among yutes, many states are reconsidering their lax ebike rules.
0 stars! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. Cool UA-cam unboxing videos but don’t be fooled. It is now well over the time my bike was supposed to ship and I have already been charged but can’t get through to customer service. Usually with a legit purchase, the transaction is pending until shipment. Not in this case. I was charged immediately. I have been calling daily and staying on hold for hours with no answer. I have left voicemails and also emailed. Nothing. I am now seeing other reviews stating that they have major problems with the bike (manufacture problems and shipping damage) but cannot get through to them. I believe this because I cannot get through. This is the worst purchase I’ve ever made. I would rather spend double the price I spent than deal with a crappy company that can’t even answer their phone or stand by the promises on their website. The positive reviews are fake.
Hey again is this ebike UL APPROVED also try taking a little slower and not running over pedestrians while doing an advertisement you just blow past everyone not caring about them, giving bike riders a bad name.
This bike with a 1000 watt motor is just as “illegal” as the much better and less expensive Wired Freedom, which ships as a legal class 2 but with a fully programmable display. You can’t be just pregnant and 1000 watt sustained is illegal to ride on roads and bike paths. If you are considering this illegal bike, why not pay less and get better components, a bigger battery, and a much more powerful 60v system? Why would you make a 1000 watt illegal bike that only goes 25mph? Tiny front chain ring and they can’t even get the class 2 sticker right😂. But you can plug your toaster into your bike😂🤣😂🤣

@@lenlaskowski7374a rear rack should be available for it soon.
Would you prefer this bike over the wired freedom?
No
Great video as always.
HOWEVER it always annoys me how you never use a phone holder on the handlebars for your own phone. Using one hand can be dangerous!
I was riding and it just turned off and won’t turn back on, any tips anyone?
Has customer service been of any help?
@ nope, had to just return the bike and get a different one
Thank you for this review...was down to Wired Freedom vs. This bike...Freedom it is.
The freedom is faster.
May I ask what you do with all your ebikes ??
Storage
Bro how many bikes do you have lol
looks good but i think the wired freedom was better....peace out
Actually if that hub is a sustained 1000w it's not legal either per the classifications, 750w is the max.
This company doesn’t even know what class 2 is.
You seem like a lot of fun
This or the wired??
Definitely wired freedom, unless this is cheaper by at least $500 bucks, but it’s not the case here.
Just do you. Nobody read all that.

Coming from someone who has used ATVs and dirt bikes in the past, having the throttle on the left is so weird.
Doood! Why no Biktrix?
Sorry this happened to you. Thanks is for sharing
Take it out of Eco
Do more mid drive cheapos

“Less expensive wired freedom”, nope, they are about the same price, I bet you didn’t know that wired freedom is about $2300, basically the same price, mokwheel is free shipping along with so many other e-bikes.
@@johnrob3215even if CA allows 1000w, but all other states only allow 750w.
@@blackwhirlwind1245 I believe 6-7 states are at 1000. Expect all to be there in 12-24. My advice is if you buy from here out, buy 1000 and don't worry about it too much.
Agreed
Nice bike but id rather have a right hand throttle.
Why does this company even try to make bikes since the Wired came out. I’m embarrassed for them. They make the same crappy 48v weak heavy bikes that were cool in 2018.
Compared to the Wired Freedom this bike is garbage. Complete joke
It looks better (style wise) than the Wired IMO, but looks aren't everything. Not a huge fan of Wired's bmx bars, but they are starting to grow on me.
He made it home without it breaking . Wired is faster , if that’s all you care about get one of those electric dirt bikes.
They cut every corner there is when it comes to support.
EXTREME BUYER BEWARE: only get this bike or any bike from Mokwheel if you enjoy having an absolute NIGHTMARE of a time dealing with support. There are many other bikes better than this for the same price or less.
Hi and thank you very much for your great channel. Could you please tell me which one you choose between new Wired freedom, E-cell 5 star and Mokwheel obsidian? And why?
It will be great if you could tell me your opinion about quality of components used in these bikes as well.
