Thank you Pastor for being very clear. I thoroughly enjoyed your sermon. Just in one sermon I was a bit confused and wondered? The sermon on the deception on Santa I enjoyed too and agree. But exactly what you said in the " santa" sermon and said in another sermon caused the question. I think it was on the " watchers". But so far I enjoyed all of your sermons and pray for you.
As a born again Christian and a new on at that I truly want to learn the word of God as much as possible and found a joy in studying his word that no “hobby” I ever had could fill the God size void a man has in his oil prior to Christ .. that being said.. after listening to this sermon and just trying to keep it simple as possible so I can hopefully begin to get some understanding on the right path … is the point in a nutshell about this sermon that YES God controls the future or the “outcome” so to speak BUT during our time here as sinners we are given over to our own sinful thoughts, actions, and demeanor (aka God isn’t in control daily HE COULD BE but he is giving us that “control”) and 9/10 we go with our fleshly desires UNTIL a man is born again and then he understands this and realizes this, that Christ is all he needs and when we are born again and live for him he will use our “daily actions” for his glory and the outcome of his choosing but while born again we are comfortable and grateful for any decisions by him and choose to live for him. ??!! 😬🤨🙏. I’m hope I’m “kind of” on the right track and if not that’s okay I’ll jus pray and study deeper. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance and God bless to ya all from South Carolina!! Mr Knox and Mr Charles Lawson from Tn are 2 of my go to preachers on YT that have helped me in doctrine and learning the word !
You’re definitely on the right track , as for brother James , you would be very well served in your Christian life to study his teachings as he really is the best teacher of Bible truth you’ll ever find. God has truly blessed him with an amazing ability to communicate effectively; as for Lawson I am very familiar with him and he can be good but he gets into some really weird things sometimes so I would be very careful with him….
Abbey, Webster's 1828 Dictionary is a good resource to provide you insights into a more accurate meaning than more current definitions, because it was authored closer to the time period in which the the King James Bible translators wrote. According to that dictionary, "Terrible" doesn't necessarily mean "bad" or "horrible". It can be defined as "2. Adapted to impress dread, terror or solemn awe and reverence. Biblical examples are also given in that dictionary: The Lord thy God is among you, a mighty God and terrible. Deu 7. ; Let them praise thy great and terrible name, for it is holy. Psa 99. He hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen Deu 10." So when questioning the meaning of words, it's not always most accurate to assume the modern day definition. In this case, I believe it is more consistent with the Bible to say it's meaning is more "solemn awe and reverence" than fear. You can also use the Bible to define words... search the scriptures for all references to "terrible" and you may find meaning that way.
Hi Abbey. The Bible is always right and its critics are always wrong. Because He is a terror to His enemies. There are several hundred verses regarding His second advent, hell, the lake of fire, etc. that should make men more than afraid to set themselves against Him or His inerrant word.

Why is God referred to as terrible in Nehemiah 1:5

@@ms2506 According to Webster's Dictionary 1828, terrible means "Adapted to impress dread, terror or solemn awe and reverence."
Terrible does not mean "Very bad" It means "Frightful; adapted to excite terror; dreadful; formidable."
I urge you that you use Webster's Dictionary for KJV because English has been changing a lot.
