I've owned the G11 for many years and have struggled to use the various options on the camera. I just recently found these videos on UA-cam and can't thank you enough for all the great information in a very easy to understand forum.
Set iso to 200 not 80. The sensor still delivers high quality prints and allows for higher shutter speeds. Set EV to -1/3 or -2/3 to avoid blowouts and also give higher shutter speeds.
Models like my Canon Elph 310, which has given me outstanding imagery (because I had it with me!) and even gave me highly usable video to cut into my Canon 5D Mark II footage when I needed it's fast and changing auto focus and depth of field for a short film noir I shot in 2012 also allowed me to set the EV in Program mode which I find much less clunkier, and fast to access. I was given the G11 today as a gift with extras. What a great case! I like that neutral density filter. Just not sure if it's a digital filter or...you know? By the way, I immediately went on ebay to get a wrist strap correct for this camera. Those skinny ones are also perfect for my bigger Fuji X bodies. A thick wrist strap gets in the way when shooting.
Thanks for this. Am using Canon G12. Can I ask a question? My camera sometimes is blurry so I cannot use it. It happened before but after a day, it went back to a normal & clear view. Now it happened again. Am just thinking if there are like some things I need to adjust or change in the settings? Thanks and hooing for a reply.
I have G 12 but the problem Iam facing is that when I open this machine it tells me to restart the camera. So I don’t know how and where to make the machine function

That was brilliant, thanks for that. I just bought a second hand G11 and this vid was a big help.
Just bought a G11 , thanks for the video
This might be a stupid question, I just bought one but it won’t turn on. I still don’t have a memory card. Can it turn on without it?
Thank you for a straight forward, easy to understand tutorial.
Very useful. Thanks 🙏

when I try to adjust aperture it doesn't change, same with shutter speed priority?
It’s a known problem. Hold down the shortcut button and press the wheel left it right instead of rotating it.
great, my camera is a G12
