For a long time i have been ignoring this video, i just took my time to watch it now, and i have never been so inspired on the teaching that "christ is begotten not made" all my catholic life. and today i have come to learn it from one, who was once a muslim. thank you Daniel for making me a better christian.

Protestants, well intentioned or not, are full of contradictions. They seemingly make themselves the infallible interpreter of the Bible and Christian doctrine all the while decrying the Catholic claim to be in sole possession of such infallibility. Their source for all condemnation is the Bible something handed down to them by the Catholic Church. This is an inescapable fact of history. What is also inescapable is that when you leave Papal infallibility and the magesterium of the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church all you are left with is your own personal infallibility. Who is right, John MacArthur, James White, John Piper, Jimmy Swaggart, Robert Shueller, Billy Graham, Rick Warren, Martin Luther......well you get the idea. Just look at what has happened since the reformation, each time someone disagrees with another's teaching a new church or denomination pops up. Could this really have been what Christ intended? If you truly believe that God intended for us all to be individually infallible seekers of the truth then fine but you have no logical reason for thinking the Church is any less infallible then your self. To use the Church's book though to attempt to refute the Church is illogical and a form of demonic deception.

I have one very good friend who wishes me to join her churches. She publicly acknowledge she's a Born Again Christians. Whatever she said, I just stick to myself never waver from my Catholic way. I missed my Church everytime I was to go back from Holy Mass. The longing to be near the Tabernacle was so GREAT. I wishes to stay back and stay near to Our Lord every minutes, second and hour. This made me read Quran and I was reading it and saw Quran 8:12 "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them" so the so called "RELIGION OF PEACE" is casting terror. ÜK Gëôrdië 10 icons are "windows into heaven" and used to direct or center prayer and worship toward an image or icon of Christ or Mary etc... like you are talking directly to them and sitting in their presence. in fact in Eastern Christian churches there is always a ground level Christ that is within reach that you can touch, venerate, kiss etc... then their is an image of Christ on the ceiling demonstrating that certain aspects of Christ are always out of reach for humans and beyond our grasp.

After some years, I started studying iconography. I had a number of teachers who were priests (both Catholic and Greek Orthodox), and two lady iconographers from Russia. I painted many icons. Eventually, I took classes with another art teacher, and learned to work with stained glass, re-imagining inspiring holy images in flaming bright colors with the sun beaming through. My first piece was the Holy Face of Christ. Whenever I pray at home, several times a day, I sit, stand, or kneel, in front of my favorite painting of Jesus, the one I did 34 years ago, with the loving eyes. On my right is my favorite stained glass icon of Mary and the child Jesus. All around me, on every wall, are images that remind me that I’m surrounded by a cloud of witnesses, cheering me on. They remind me that Jesus loves me, and the Saints in Heaven love me. They remind me that I’m surrounded by love, and that I’ll be with them one day. If you feel that you are inspired by staring at a blank wall, go right ahead. But for me, sacred images consecrate the space to God, proclaiming that this is holy ground. Aware that He is always present with me and in me, I take off my sandals, bow down, and give glory to the Lord.

The reference to the sacrament of confession in Scripture: "Whosever sins you forgive shall be forgiven them; whosever sins you retain shall be retained," is John 20:19-23, not Matthew 16:18, which does as Mr. Ali said, reference the "power of the keys" Christ gave to Peter. The two passages are related, of course. Also, Mr. Ali says that "Christians" do not believe in the "House of Islam/House of War" concept, as in, we do not believe in the "House of Christianity" vs. "everybody else." I don't think that is quite true. The one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church had always taught with great clarity the doctrine of "Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus" (Outside the Church there is no salvation), with certain possible exceptions for the "baptism of desire" and "invincible ignorance." There has been little but double-talk since Vatican II regarding this formerly clear teaching. It would be difficult to see how one could be "saved" outside the Church since She dispenses the sacraments that Christ said were necessary for salvation, i.e., "If you do not eat of My Body and drink of My Blood you have no life in you." Jn. 6:53, etc. I think all of us who understand the stark reality of the nature of the Church and the necessity of the sacraments have to start telling the truth again regarding "Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus" and stop playing patty-cake with false religions, including protestantism. Our "separated brethren" deserve the harder truths delivered in clarity as well as charity. I do salute Mr. Ali for pursuing truth and having the courage of his convictions.

I just read the book by former Muslim Dr. Nabeel Qureshi, called, "Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus." I got it on Amazon.com. The book is a bestseller and is very positive. Every year thousands (or more) of Muslims secretly convert to Christianity, in Persia, and other areas. The western newsmedia, out of fear of terrorism, or being labeled, "Islamophobic," refuses to discuss all the people who were once Muslim, who are abandoning Islam, not only in Arab nations, but in the USA, as well.

If we'll make IMAGES of Christ, God will NOT rebuke us because Christ is not a false representation of Him. Thus, we, Catholics make IMAGES of Christ because we know that Christ is NOT a false representation of God; we know that God doesn't hate images for religious purposes. Furthermore, we ONLY venerate these religious IMAGES because we know that God ALONE must be worshipped.(cf. CCC 2132) . Accusing us Catholics as idolaters is FALSE. We never WORSHIP other gods. We worship God alone, the Most Holy Trinity.(cf. Athanasian Creed). The images of Christ in our Churches are NOT idols. Idols are false representation of God. The images of Christ are perfect representation of God.(cf. Col. 1:15) . What about the images of Blessed Virgin Mary and the saints? Their images are NOT idols. According to St. Paul, idols have NO existence.(cf. 1Cor. 8:4) Mary and the saints have real existence. So, to regard them as idols is ILLOGICAL. . But why do we venerate ALSO the images of Mary and the saints? For Virgin Mary, we value her very important role in the mystery of Redemption.(cf. Here's a couple of issues with the quran, just in its existing. we are told that the quran has not been changed, not even to one dot, correct? this is untrue. i was a reciter. there are 10 variations of quran accepted in competitive recitation. 10 different versions, relaying 10 differing realities. so we already have a problem. the secind problem is that the quran was originally written down in quarshi arabic, a dialect that has no punctuation. so there were never any marks or dots to change in the first place. in the british museum, there is an original text from the time Omar Khattab that differs greatly from the generally accepted text. if you are going to assert the righteousness of one book over another, be sure that the book you have can live up to its assertions.

Well, my dear sister Barbara the holy bible tells that God says in plain language that images are not to be used in worship, in Exodus 20:4,5. If these two are the only criteria for this prophecy to be fulfilled, then all the Prophets of the Bible who came after Moses (pbuh) such as Solomon, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Malachi, John the Baptist, etc. (pbut) will fulfill this prophecy since all were Jews as well as prophets. When Archangel Gabrail commanded Muhammad (pbuh) by saying Iqra - "Read", he replied, "I am not learned". 4. prophet Muhammad (pbuh) mentioned by name in the old testament: Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is mentioned by name in the Song of Solomon chapter 5 verse 16: "Hikko Mamittakim we kullo Muhammadim Zehdoodeh wa Zehraee Bayna Jerusalem." "His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem." In the Hebrew language im is added for respect. Similarely im is added after the name of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) to make it Muhammadim. In English translation they have even translated the name of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as "altogether lovely", but in the Old Testament in Hebrew, the name of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is yet present. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in the New Testament: Al-Qur'an Chapter 61 Verse 6: "And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary, said, 'O Children of Israel! I am the messenger of Allah (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which came) before me and giving glad tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmed.' But when he came to them with clear signs, they said, 'This is evident sorcery!' " All the prophecies mentioned in the Old Testament regarding Muhammad (pbuh) besides applying to the Jews also hold good for the Christians. 1. John chapter 14 verse 16: "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever." 2. Gospel of John chapter 15 verse 26: "But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me." 3. Gospel of John chapter 16 verse 7: "Nevertheless I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you". "Ahmed" or "Muhammad" meaning "the one who praises" or "the praised one" is almost the translation of the Greek word Periclytos. In the Gospel of John 14:16, 15:26, and 16:7. The word 'Comforter' is used in the English translation for the Greek word Paracletos which means advocate or a kind friend rather than a comforter. Paracletos is the warped reading for Periclytos. Jesus (pbuh) actually prophesised Ahmed by name. Even the Greek word Paraclete refers to the Prophet (pbuh) who is a mercy for all creatures. Some Christians say that the Comforter mentioned in these prophecies refers to the Holy Sprit. They fail to realise that the prophecy clearly says that only if Jesus (pbuh) departs will the Comforter come. The Bible states that the Holy Spirit was already present on earth before and during the time of Jesus (pbuh), in the womb of Elizabeth, and again when Jesus (pbuh) was being baptised, etc. Hence this prophecy refers to none other than Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). 4. Gospel of John chapter 16 verse 12-14: "I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth is come, he will guide you unto all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. The unbloody Eucharistical sacrifice would forgive sins, whereas the Bible teaches that atonement is made by a bloody sacrifice only, which Jesus made at Calvary once for all (Leviticus 17:11, Hebrews 9:24-28, Hebrews 10:10-14). Additionally, the Roman Church teaches that the work of redemption would be continued through the Liturgy although the Bible clearly states that Christ HAS REDEEMED us (Hebrews 10:10-14, John 19:30, Psalm 22:31). Christ separates Church and state, whereas the Roman Church wants to have power and combines state and church. The Roman Church has clearly gone astray. Revelation 18:4: "Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.“

Answer to Matthew 16:18: Jesus said that Simon was "Petros" and on this "petra" he would build his Church. Why didn't Jesus call Peter "petra"? Peter is not the "petra", but Jesus or the confession of Peter. Answer to your statement about images: Jesus is not an image of God, he took on human flesh and was and will be God and man at the same time. God is spirit. How do you know how Jesus looks like? yes, although from what I understand Martin luther removed the books that didn't agree with his theology so you may not be able to find them in your version the of Bible. So what I was asking was, since you believe the Catholic church is wrong, what happened in those 1500 years? Because scripture is clear in that "the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. +eddy ?! I am not a Lutheran. Let me answer your objection concerning the "gates of hell" part: Christ did not found the Roman Catholic Church, but His ekklesia. From the time of the Apostles until today there were and are people believing in the true gospel. That is the Church: The congregation of the born-again Christians. The Church is not the Roman Church, which came into existence in the 4th century. The problem with the sacrifice of the mass is that the Church claims that it was a propitiatory sacrifice (CCC 1414) although we know that without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins (Hebrews 9:22). And we know from the scriptures that Christ made one sacrifice for all sins once for all, otherwise he would have suffered many times since the foundation of the world (Hebrews 9:26). I'd appreciate it if you read Hebrews 9 & 10 because it is contradictory to the teachings of your Church.

Amine Benmounah God is just. He cannot forgive sins just like that. It would be against his fairness. Instead he loves us so much that he sends his only son to take up the death that is to be ours, so that we may be saved. Of course there will still be punishment for our sins, but in this case it is about minor sins, and some major sins provided one is able to repent sincerely later - sins in theology of christianity brings separation from God, therefore jesus is the hope that our sinful selves be united with God, whether it is through some penance or directly to God.

As Muslims we believe you can't take somebody responsible for others sins. Same applies to Jesus, he doesn't need to die for sins he didn't commit. But I see why Christians love the scapegoat theology of killing somebody else for our sins!! It's a lazy way of handling issues, but it works in making people feel better.
Before you speak, you should learn. If you can't be bothered to actually comprehend history and the books, then do not argue against what you have no knowledge of. Islam does believe that one can die for the sins of another. Sons were routinely killed in leui of their fathers, for their father's crimes. Read your hadith better. Read your Quran better. I think you're referring to Hadith 2522 in Sunan Abî Dâwûd, the Book of Jihâd, the chapter on the martyr intercession. Those who dies in the way of Allah will get the honour of asking forgiveness for 70 of their relatives. But you have to understand that this will happen if Allah is happy to forgive that person. The verses I am getting this from are in -format Chapter:Verse- 2:255, 10:3, 39:44 If you had the time to check these Quraan verses and get the Hadith into context with them, then this will clear your confusion. The point is in Islam you're responsible for your deeds, being a Muslim doesn't entitle you to heaven. You have to do good and abstain from bad deeds. In the case your sins outweigh your good deeds Allah can forgive you as he pleases and can give you means to get forgiveness "as the example you mentioned"

I must say, I couldn't get past the first ten minutes of this video. First of all, Daniel Ali is mistaken in saying Islamic theology divides the world into the house of Islam and the house war. In fact, there are five categories in classical Islamic thought, among them the "house of peace," namely, those non-Muslim regions with whom Muslims have established treaties of peace. So no, the world outside that of the Islamic lands is not a "land of war."Secondly, Daniel says he was troubled by the Islamic idea that God does not forgive non-Muslims. This is problematic for two reasons: (a) first of all, traditional formulations of Catholicism hold to the the equivalent doctrine of "no salvation outside of the church" (going back to Augustine), and (b) secondly, Ghazali (essentially the Aquinas of Islam) argued that non-Muslims are not deprived of salvation by default, by virtue of being non-Muslim. Rather, only those who properly understand the message of Muhammad and then reject it are accountable before God. Secondly, the Islamic doctrine of salvation has no bearing on how one should treat others, since as Muhammad said, "be merciful to those on the earth so that the One in Heaven will be merciful unto you." Martin Luther conflated the Jewish Mitzvahs, or the works of law, the 613 commandments Ultra Orthodox Jews still do to be right with God, with the new deeds one would do as a new creation in Christ. He mixed it all together and confused it, then said, I am not saved by anything I do, but by faith alone. If you look at the words for what they say, and they way Christians have believed them for 2,000 years (except Protestants who have not for 500 years) they say exactly what they say. Rom 3:28 "We hold a person is justified by faith apart from works of law." See, works of law means works of law, it does not mean good deeds, but formal Jewish law. What Daniel Ali says about forgiveness in Islam is wrong. Read Surah 2: 62. ("Those who believe...and those who are Jews, and Christians, and Sabeans -whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and does right -surely their reward is with their Lord, and there shall no fear come upon them, neither shall they grieve".) One of Mohammed's best friends was a Jewish man, who was at no point compelled to convert (although he did, of his own volition, on his deathbed). Mohammed also spent a lot of time talking to and taking influence from Christian monks as well as Jewish folk, towards whom he felt the greatest respect. Islam is an Abrahamic religion, which recognises and reveres all Old and New Testament prophets, especially Jesus. Mary, mother of Jesus, is mentioned more times in the Qu'ran than she is in the bible and "People of The Book" (i.e. Christians and Jews) are already considered, from an Islamic perspective, to be on the path to salvation. Uhmm, I'm not really familiar with the historicity of the Qu'ran except on what I've read once that there was no archeological evidence that muhammed himself has written it. According to that source, the oldest qu'ran may have been re-written throughout the centuries and there is no sufficient evidence that it is even authentic. Whereas compared to the Bible to which archeologists found a continuous flow between manuscripts. Unfortunately, our muslim brethren may not have even heard of the Dead Sea Scrolls which connects the present Bible to the ancient ones :) Just saying.

Also, only one "household" is mentioned, indicating that's all that's left of his legacy. All evidence points to the conclusion Onesiphorus is no longer alive, none of it points to the idea he is still living.

Protestants, well intentioned or not, are full of contradictions. They seemingly make themselves the infallible interpreter of the Bible and Christian doctrine all the while decrying the Catholic claim to be in sole possession of such infallibility.
Their source for all condemnation is the Bible something handed down to them by the Catholic Church. This is an inescapable fact of history. What is also inescapable is that when you leave Papal infallibility and the magesterium of the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church all you are left with is your own personal infallibility. Who is right, John MacArthur, James White, John Piper, Jimmy Swaggart, Robert Shueller, Billy Graham, Rick Warren, Martin Luther......well you get the idea.
Just look at what has happened since the reformation, each time someone disagrees with another's teaching a new church or denomination pops up. Could this really have been what Christ intended?
If you truly believe that God intended for us all to be individually infallible seekers of the truth then fine but you have no logical reason for thinking the Church is any less infallible then your self. To use the Church's book though to attempt to refute the Church is illogical and a form of demonic deception.

This made me read Quran and I was reading it and saw Quran 8:12 "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. I’m a Jewish convert to the Catholic Faith. As a somewhat artistic person, I love being surrounded by beauty. From the time of my conversion, I started painting sacred art - Mary, baby Jesus, and the three wise men; the Sacred Heart of Jesus with kind and loving eyes, the Pieta, with Mary’s tears rolling down her cheeks, and so on.
After some years, I started studying iconography. I had a number of teachers who were priests (both Catholic and Greek Orthodox), and two lady iconographers from Russia. I painted many icons.
Eventually, I took classes with another art teacher, and learned to work with stained glass, re-imagining inspiring holy images in flaming bright colors with the sun beaming through. My first piece was the Holy Face of Christ.
Whenever I pray at home, several times a day, I sit, stand, or kneel, in front of my favorite painting of Jesus, the one I did 34 years ago, with the loving eyes. On my right is my favorite stained glass icon of Mary and the child Jesus. All around me, on every wall, are images that remind me that I’m surrounded by a cloud of witnesses, cheering me on. They remind me that Jesus loves me, and the Saints in Heaven love me. They remind me that I’m surrounded by love, and that I’ll be with them one day.
If you feel that you are inspired by staring at a blank wall, go right ahead. But for me, sacred images consecrate the space to God, proclaiming that this is holy ground. Aware that He is always present with me and in me, I take off my sandals, bow down, and give glory to the Lord.
This is the model of what Jesus Christ said" Don't talk about being nice, kind and understanding you have to show others how you behave every day". When the people see how you behave in a righteous way then others will change their behavior. Great video

The reference to the sacrament of confession in Scripture: "Whosever sins you forgive shall be forgiven them; whosever sins you retain shall be retained," is John 20:19-23, not Matthew 16:18, which does as Mr. Ali said, reference the "power of the keys" Christ gave to Peter. The two passages are related, of course. Also, Mr. Ali says that "Christians" do not believe in the "House of Islam/House of War" concept, as in, we do not believe in the "House of Christianity" vs. "everybody else." I don't think that is quite true. The one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church had always taught with great clarity the doctrine of "Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus" (Outside the Church there is no salvation), with certain possible exceptions for the "baptism of desire" and "invincible ignorance." There has been little but double-talk since Vatican II regarding this formerly clear teaching. It would be difficult to see how one could be "saved" outside the Church since She dispenses the sacraments that Christ said were necessary for salvation, i.e., "If you do not eat of My Body and drink of My Blood you have no life in you." Jn. 6:53, etc. I think all of us who understand the stark reality of the nature of the Church and the necessity of the sacraments have to start telling the truth again regarding "Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus" and stop playing patty-cake with false religions, including protestantism. Our "separated brethren" deserve the harder truths delivered in clarity as well as charity. I do salute Mr. Ali for pursuing truth and having the courage of his convictions.

this is untrue. i was a reciter. there are 10 variations of quran accepted in competitive recitation. 10 different versions, relaying 10 differing realities. so we already have a problem.
the secind problem is that the quran was originally written down in quarshi arabic, a dialect that has no punctuation. so there were never any marks or dots to change in the first place.
in the british museum, there is an original text from the time Omar Khattab that differs greatly from the generally accepted text.

The Christians say that this prophecy refers to Jesus (pbuh) because Jesus (pbuh) was like Moses (pbuh). Moses (pbuh) was a Jew, as well as Jesus (pbuh) was a Jew. Moses (pbuh) was a Prophet and Jesus (pbuh) was also a Prophet.
If these two are the only criteria for this prophecy to be fulfilled, then all the Prophets of the Bible who came after

fulfill this prophecy since all were Jews as well as prophets.

Muhammad (pbuh) is from among the brethren of Moses (pbuh). Arabs are brethren of Jews. Abraham (pbuh) had two sons: Ishmail and Isaac (pbut). The Arabs are the descendants of Ishmail (pbuh) and the Jews are the descendants of Isaac (pbuh).

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was unlettered and whatever revelations he received from Almighty God he repeated them verbatim.

Answer to your statement about images: Jesus is not an image of God, he took on human flesh and was and will be God and man at the same time. God is spirit. How do you know how Jesus looks like? yes, although from what I understand Martin luther removed the books that didn't agree with his theology so you may not be able to find them in your version the of Bible. From the time of the Apostles until today there were and are people believing in the true gospel. That is the Church: The congregation of the born-again Christians. The problem with the sacrifice of the mass is that the Church claims that it was a propitiatory sacrifice (CCC 1414) although we know that without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins (Hebrews 9:22). And we know from the scriptures that Christ made one sacrifice for all sins once for all, otherwise he would have suffered many times since the foundation of the world (Hebrews 9:26). I'd appreciate it if you read Hebrews 9 & 10 because it is contradictory to the teachings of your Church.

As Muslims we believe you can't take somebody responsible for others sins. Same applies to Jesus, he doesn't need to die for sins he didn't commit. But I see why Christians love the scapegoat theology of killing somebody else for our sins!! It's a lazy way of handling issues, but it works in making people feel better.

You can look around the world at the original Churches the apostles founded. You can look in Northern Iraq at the Church Thomas founded, or Southern India, also Thomas, or Egypt, that Mark founded, and on and on. They all have the same faith and their differences, by their own admission, when they are separated from Rome at about 2%, so they will say we believe 98% the same thing. This is Apostolic Christianity, even if they are not in full communion with Rome, they have the same faith.
Protestants, depending on which group, teach something very different. They all, for the most part, and this would be true of Evangelicals, teach Martin Luther's Sola Fides like he was a prophet.
If you have read the bible, you will see they use Rom 3:28 as proof for the doctrine of "justification by faith alone." It proves the opposite of what they say. Martin Luther conflated the Jewish Mitzvahs, or the works of law, the 613 commandments Ultra Orthodox Jews still do to be right with God, with the new deeds one would do as a new creation in Christ. He mixed it all together and confused it, then said, I am not saved by anything I do, but by faith alone.
If you look at the words for what they say, and they way Christians have believed them for 2,000 years (except Protestants who have not for 500 years) they say exactly what they say. Rom 3:28 "We hold a person is justified by faith apart from works of law." See, works of law means works of law, it does not mean good deeds, but formal Jewish law. He is telling them to follow Christ not the Jewish authorities.

What Daniel Ali says about forgiveness in Islam is wrong. Read Surah 2: 62. ("Those who believe...and those who are Jews, and Christians, and Sabeans -whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and does right -surely their reward is with their Lord, and there shall no fear come upon them, neither shall they grieve".) One of Mohammed's best friends was a Jewish man, who was at no point compelled to convert (although he did, of his own volition, on his deathbed). Mohammed also spent a lot of time talking to and taking influence from Christian monks as well as Jewish folk, towards whom he felt the greatest respect. Islam is an Abrahamic religion, which recognises and reveres all Old and New Testament prophets, especially Jesus. Mary, mother of Jesus, is mentioned more times in the Qu'ran than she is in the bible and "People of The Book" (i.e. Christians and Jews) are already considered, from an Islamic perspective, to be on the path to salvation. if you just listen 7mins to 12mins of the talk, this is clear to a pure Muslim that Daniel Ali has never been a Muslim by heart. Don't read the Quran according to prophet Mohammed's (PBUH) explanation. Muslim means a person who submitted his will to God (the almighty creator). Now any person who does this is a Muslim, and if the last revelation The Quran does not reach to him, that person will be judged on his life time action and by mercy of God, he might be able to enter paradise. All the war launched by Islam was at the beginning for self defense and later all war were held for prohibiting preaching Islam in specific land or country (look at the unbiased history).

Where I come from in Kurdistan, there are neighbourhoods filled with christians and muslims together. And it is very normal for a christian to give a cross, one of my kurdish catholic neighbours gave a cross to another neighbour who was muslim and he was sick in order to heal him.

Uhmm, I'm not really familiar with the historicity of the Qu'ran except on what I've read once that there was no archeological evidence that muhammed himself has written it. According to that source, the oldest qu'ran may have been re-written throughout the centuries and there is no sufficient evidence that it is even authentic. Whereas compared to the Bible to which archeologists found a continuous flow between manuscripts. Unfortunately, our muslim brethren may not have even heard of the Dead Sea Scrolls which connects the present Bible to the ancient ones
