WWE Alternate Bookings: Ted Dibiase as WWF Champion (1988-89)

One of the original plans going into Wrestlemania 4 was for the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase to win the tournament and become the Undisputed WWF World Heavyweight Champion. This took place after the Twin Referee incident that occurred at the Main Event 1988, the biggest TV wrestling program in history, when Hulk Hogan lost the WWF Championship for the first time to Andre the Giant after a four year run. 32 seconds later Andre handed over the belt to Ted Dibiase.
This is an attempt to booking Ted Dibiase as the WWF Champion who wins at Wrestlemania IV and takes on numerous competitors such as Don Muraco, Brutus Beefcake, Ultimate Warrior, Jim Duggan to Hulk Hogan, leading to Wrestlemania V.

Hulk Hogan screwed over Ted DiBiase in early 1988. Four years was long enough for Hogan. So they had a s&%^ booking with crooked refereeing, forcing a tournament. Then DiBiase got screwed again in 1989, forcing WWE to created an unsanctioned belt as a gift to DiBiase called the Million Dollar Championship belt.

Not sure how Hogan screwed Dibiase he was on his way out to do No Holds Barred and for his newborn, would be unfortunate if he did play politics and stopped him
