Nice! Gotta love Ward. My son caught one of the tagged trout a few seasons ago. He was 4 I think great memory. At any rate, great vid! Your narration is excellent.

Nice job out there, you had a lot of action. I was hopung to see if you would hook a cutthroat as well. I've caught some large ones out of there in the past. Tight lines! The Piscatorian

Haven't caught a cutthroat yet. Hopefully I'll come across one soon.

My home lake. Grew up on it and now
Live across the street. Been fishing it for 40 years! You’ll see me out there almost daily if my son doesn’t have baseball. Gray skokercraft with a coug logo.

Awesome Justin. You are so lucky to be so close to a true gem. It is by far my favorite lake. I will look for you for sure until then, tight lines my friend!

No, it's been pretty wet lately that's for sure. Fishing will continue to improve. The best month out on that lake has always been June. Hopefully I'll see you out there again.

Try a pink hoochie... it is my go to for kokanee especially on that lake. Speed is also critical for kokanee 1.3 - 1.8 mph is ideal.

Did the kokanee fishing get better there in the summer for you? I didn't have alot of success this year at Ward, after some big kokanee in 2020. Also curious if you ever catch kokanee there in the winter months? Thank you.

I did pretty well into the summer but the fish were really deep and not as large as they were in years past. I have also fished through the winter and noticed the fish are really spread out. Ensure your trolling speed is slow as in 1.2 mph is fast. The fish are pretty lethargic but will definitely bite if you get your presentation in front of them.

I will give it a try soon then, see if I can get a winter kokanee there. As far as the summer, I generally tried the 20 ft deep range, how deep were u going? Thanks again, hope to see future videos from u on Ward.

Most fish from July on were 30-40 ft deep. Right over the deep hole. Early morning the kokanee were about 20 feet deep and all over. Once the sun was on the water they went deep.
