- These are the 10 best Another Blick II second solos played by Tim Renwick on the Pink Floyd Division-Bell tour 1994. Tim completely improvised these solos, so each one is completely different. Incredibly creative, powerful and versatile playing. This is the gold standard for live improvisation. Any guitarist knows what it takes to pull off something like this in front of 50.000 people every night. Thank you Tim! I have added two bonus tracks.

I can't believe that such a guitarist exists, to play so many different improvisations on the same theme, and yet all of them be of equal quality and interest.
you know the guy is good when you keep coming back and you remember every note
Absolutely
I could listen to this on a loop
Me, too
Improvisation is a hell of a drug. ♡
Extraordinary Tim Renwick a special touch in each of his varied solos, a perfect complement. Thanks friend.🎸🎼
i loved his solo in the '94 Pulse concert performance of Another brick in the Wall. wish it had been longer and mic-ed in at a slightly higher volume.
Although I like and admire a number of guitarists including Gilmour I absolutely stand in awe of Tim Renwick… absolutely brilliant.
Whilst David Gilmour is a brilliant guitarist, in the Harry Potter realm, Tim is Dumbledore, an utter and absolute wizard!🤠
Clapton’s side man mid 80’s, live aid etc. when he soloed, Eric would always be smiling
Mind-blowing
Love Tim's work. He did great albums with Maggie Reilly, too - it seems that if you want David Gilmour or Mike Oldfield but can't afford either of them, get Tim on the phone.
Another fantastic ABITW II Tim Renwick solo is 13.10.1994. Fantastic solo.
True
Tim Renwick has played with or on albums from a number of artists, such as Elton John, Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton, Tom Jones, Al Stewart, Mike and the Mechanics, John Lennon, Mick Jagger, Paul McCartney and countless others---quite a career.
Yes, indeed
Incredible. I wish we had a Top 30 :)
The Detroit solo and the Lyon solo take the cake! Such creativity!
They're all treats to listen to, but Gelsenkirchen takes the cake for me. There's a video of it somewhere as well. He was completely rhythmically, and melodically, locked in with everyone on that one. Absolute monster on the Strat.
Thanks for the upload, man.
Agree. Gelsenkirchen is phenomenal. Therefore I put it on the P.U.L.S.E. of the audience on my channel.
I can't believe I'm finding this! Tim's solo on ABITW and Learning To Fly from Pulse have been one of my most favorite solos ever... and now all these! Incredible, what a musician! Liked, added to favorites, subscribed! I saw you have Chris Rea and Dire Straits stuff - wow, what a great find! Thank you so much!
tks so much... awesome material..
OMG I'm so glad this channel is back
Could you reupload Gilmour's best 1994 ABITW2 Solos?
Yes
Honorable Mentions:
October 20th, 1994
October 21st, 1994
Both official solos. ;)
20th is better
@@bestofconcertperformances2838 I'd have to agree with you on that one. It's good to have you back! :)
What a player
I’m always tried to figure out how he get such tone,I know he used the old Cornish board, but it doesn’t sound to me like a big muff, seems more like a rat or tube drive…
Please bring back the 'Learning To Fly' solos too.
Yes, I will
Thanks for the amazing compilation!Any chance you could upload Snowy White vs. Doyle Bramhall ABITW solos as well?
Give me a week or two
hey man, you had a similar video with the Learning To Fly solos that I can't seem to find. Would you please upload? 🙏
I will
Finally found your channel again (previously known a AliveinMemories). I visited your videos almost every day! I noticed that the Snowy White vs Doyle Bramhall ABITW solos are missing. Any chance you could please please upload it again? I've been dying to find it again. Thanks!

@@airbusdriver7114 I have to do the whole thing again from scratch. I hadn't saved it. It'll take a while
@@bestofconcertperformances2838 Ah I see! In that case, I'll play the waiting game for now :)
@@bestofconcertperformances2838 could we pleeeeease get Snowy White vs. Doyle Bramhall ABITW solos? I really miss it!
gelsenkirchen is the best
Fake news, no human is capable of doing this, this is either extraterrestrial tune or some good AI generated music.
Actually he is that good
@@bestofconcertperformances2838 oh he is. Thank you for this great edit. I'm gonna have to play it a dozen more times
Tim is one of the most fluent guitar players who have ever lived.
Good one !
