Thanks for your videos. My Dynaplug experience. The rear tire of my '05 Goldwing picked up a #6 drywall screw. Nice being at home when your ride has a flat. Having little exposed tire surface I couldn't get enough leverage on the tool to push the plug into the tire. Removed tire and washed off brake dust then installed plug. After 24 hours without air loss and no bubbles tire went back on. Rode 500 miles before the plug wore though. Removed tire and installed 2 plugs. It helped to spit on the plug holder. Since I was heading off on a 14 day 2,000 solo trip I also installed the recommended amount of "Ride On" tire balancer and sealant in both tires. No air loss on the trip. Now it's 4,000 only minimal air loss. While the Dynaplug is a great emergency repair tool I think the mileage you will get from the repair depends on tire tread type and road conditions. I didn't buy the palm push, mine is rounded off which makes it harder to push in. I bought the Dynaplug air pump and it has worked great.

@@motarded4214 Only time will tell. I made the second repair Sept. 2019. It's still holding air with only normal loss, about a pound a month front and rear.

This is an excellent product. I once pulled a huge flint out of my rear tyre. Dynaplug recommend using a maximum of three plugs in a hole, but with three it was still leaking, so I plugged it with another one and then another. This stopped the leak. I reinflated the tyre with a mini pump I carry on the bike, and rode from Essex home to Norfolk. I was cautious at first, stopping after a few miles to check the pressure, but as my confidence grew I was soon up to motorway speeds. With that many plugs in the hole, I did replace the tyre, but with just one I probably wouldn't bother.

I completely agree, I carry a plugging kit and compresser in both my car and bike. No garage will take a tyre off and repair it, they just want to sell you a new tyre. My car has one plugged tyre and not had any problems in hundreds of miles.

  • @JB47000

Just pulled a nail out my car tyre. Stuck a dynaplug in the hole and seems to be holding pressure now. driven at motorway speeds with no issues. Excellent product. Every other tyre repair product I’ve seen requires the tyre to be taken off the rim which means taking your vehicle to a garage at which point you might as well just get a new tyre. Will be carrying a dyna plug and a 12v pump in my car at all times now.

Nice one Buddy. Best advice I can give is travel light. I’ve done lots of bike tours in Europe and USA and every time I over pack. Leave the ‘just in case’ behind, you won’t need it!
Use dry fit style base layers that you can wash and dry overnight to avoid carrying lots of clothing. All you need is your riding gear, some shorts and a couple of tee shirts really. Have a great trip fella. And don’t worry, people will always help you if you need it.

Just plugged the front tire on my Yamaha R3. Nobody would take the wheel off and repair it. It was perfectly center, a small clean puncture, tires have 1070 miles, Dunlop Sportmax GPR 300’s. I’ve put around 40 miles on the bike and haven’t exceeded 90 MPH, it’s holding up perfectly. Going to wear the tires and just quickly check before every ride. Took me a few minutes to do.

Chris Piccioni Small holes in a tyre do not create blow outs so you don’t need to ride worrying. They are actually none structural to the tyres hessian lining. This is why they just put a little rubber patch inside just to stop the air leaking. The only thing you would ever notice first is your tyre deflating a bit. Early warning 👍

I did 1600 km In 16 hours and was sweating a flat the whole time. When I got to my destination I installed a new tire and the threads were just starting to show. Fortunately I lived thru the experience with no mishap. I've had flats since and had similar products, but none as fast as this one. I still ride, I'm in my 60s now and am a little better prepared. Ride safe

Hi Buddy, another excellent video, many thanks.
Adventure travel is great therapy for me too - I haven't found anything better(though sailing is up there). Somehow it allows you solitude, peace of mind and time to think and heal, whilst you still have an overly heightened focus on the road and surroundings, and your riding.
The Dynaplug has less application off-road, but a great tool to have as we all still do lots of road miles. I carry one in my tyre kit, but couldn't (here in Oz) buy that one you have with the lovely big butt.
Looking forward to following your travels. Cheers

In my experience ATS will fix a tyre with a 'nail' puncture using a chemical they pump in. It costed about £10 the last time I had to use this service. The tyre is still good. But I am also a biker and will get this. I also have a VEEAPE mini portable rechargeable tyre pump which is easily can be carried in the corner of a top box. It is an excellent product, heavy duty and does the job. But you are right, the most paranoid thing about a bike is getting a flat in the middle of nowhere.

I see this video is 3 years old now so maybe you feel differently about this product? Although it looks like a good tool my advice to people would be to not rely on it but carry the rope plug variety too because if you get a puncture from something wide like a piece of flint or metal the rope plug is more likely to take the shape of the hole particularly as they are folded over, so in effect double the width. Recently I had to use two rope plugs side by side!!!

    • @buddysinsight9834

Was it a staple that caused a puncture? It’s generally always something with a head like a nail or a screw that turns the sharp end up and through the rubber. When you think about it, a nail going through a tubed tyre and puncturing the inner tube does about the same damage to a tubeless. Repairing the inner tube never meant throwing the tyre away. So why do they expect that to happen with a tubeless? It makes no sense at all.

The Dynaplug SUCKS big time!!! I got it, just like anyone would after watching videos with how amazing it is, but, sadly, it sucks. You won't be able to stick the tip between the layers of your tire... Wasted almost all spares, before doing it the old fashion way with the standard kit... I was fortunate enough to be in my garage as I found a nail in one of my tires... How will I be able to know in advance, if in real road conditions, it will work better then the time it failed on me in my garage???
