A video on the power cables and solenoid upgrade would be awesome.
So glad griff is on UA-cam 👌🏾 helped me with so much on my gen 2 years ago. If you got a problem with your aprilia and griff can’t fix it then I suggest a new bike…
Gen 1 Dog bone suspension link bearing kit ordered upon viewing this....Much appreciated
I'm not keen on the side stand as it sits too far upright for my 2ps worth, my bike fell over. Even after the suspension adjustment it is still too upright tbh.
I bought the full electrics kit from you guys tho. Very worthwhile items.
The gearbox jet to aid with changes being smoother was so so difficult to fit my two mechanic mates gave up.
Can you run through the rear sets that reposition the rear brake master cylinder. I’m interested in those but want to see what’s involved to install 👍
Did the dogbone bearing kit on mine, well worth the money knowing what can happen if those bearings are seized up.
Only one thing left on that trolley that I need is the side stand. And the most important mod/upgrade I want that isn’t there is the rear sets

Only real wel issue ive got with my gen 2, is that i have to put it on a battery tender if i wont ride it for a week
I rode my aprilia 2007 tuono factory 1000R and it died hard restart got home was like battery was going dead let sit about an hour , was like nothing even happened
Hi guys Quick question I've recently occurred few faults on my dash on the tuono 1000r 2007 .I'm getting no neutral light on dash no left or right indicator lights on dash and no fuel light on dash.indicators work fine .Still getting mph reading the time but that's it .tried looking on forums to find nothing on this subject.pretty baffled.would it be worth taking speedo of use some contact cleaner on back of pins and try connection again .Also side stand light doesn't flag up on dash either.pretty much do everything myself on bikes but this is a new one to me.i ride the bike all year and realised aprillias don't like rain
For someone who works on aprilia electrics and sprag clutches for a living, he doesn't half say "no problems" a lot.

Does the Tuono gen 1 have carbs or does it have electronic injection already?
Fuel injection, but you have to manually raise the rpms when doing a cold start

All the big Aprilia's are fuel injection.
There's a cold start lever on the handlebar.
@@alexpryce555 correction: you CAN manually raise rpms on cold starts, but it isn't a requirement. I don't use it the vast majority of my startups unless it's very cold or bike's been sitting for a while
What's your thoughts on high mileage GEN1 RSV1000?
It's Italian. I've had two, 2002 & 2003. Sold them both around the 30,000 mark. I'd done 12,000 miles on both bikes.
They get tired. Gearbox gets a bit sloppy with missed gears. I had oil leaks with smoke on start ups every time around that mileage. Fuel Injector leaking costs a fortune. Wheel bearings just break up due to mileage. General wear and tear. They'd had all the upgrades too.
They are an old bike now.
You're better off with a modern bike, best you can afford tbh. 👍🏻
I want to make my bike faster on acceleration, what sprocket combination do you recommend ?
Depends on what bike.
My RC8R has +2 teeth on the rear and makes it way better for traffic duty but I don't feel a difference for hard acceleration.
Prior to the KTM I had an '03 RSV-R with -1 front, +2 rear and that definitely felt faster than standard gearing, ditto the -1 front (??? - long time ago) on the 03 Mille I had before.
@@pauln6803 16F / 44R the gearing setups are listed on the AP website. Just done it to mine, little whippet now!
What about regulator rectifiers . My caponord eats them
Serial Rectifier SH-775, try to upgrade all connections and wires.
where i can buy that upgraded power cables?
Cheaper if you make your own. 25mm2 cable and cable end terminals.
