      Thanks very much ☺️ what I've found really helped to make my editing better was making shorts because you have to tell a story in a really short time and voiceover videos because you can't rely on talking head footage so have to think outside of the box for B-roll to keep it interesting, even if you only do it a few times as a challenge for yourself it may help you to basically show yourself ways to level up your talking head videos, it definitely helped me 🙂

    I find the water bottles cute bc they have a silver ball at the end that prevent it all just going woosh💦 but to drink you just go "mlemlemlemlemlemlem"

    I'm not aloud to get my gerbils a 40 gallon tank because the cage I got now the omlet hamster and gerbil cage was a hundred pounds is there any cheap cages that are sutable for gerbils

    • @PetConnectionInternational
      @PetConnectionInternational  2 роки тому +1

      In terms of ready made cages unfortunately not. But you can make a bin cage as an alternative, there are guides showing how to make a simple bin cage, but if you can add a topper that would be even better, I've got a video showing how to make an "adapter" platform for a bin cage: ua-cam.com/video/1d79Ixfw1ZQ/v-deo.html
      But if you can't source the wood for that you could also cut a hole in the lid of the bin cage just smaller than the topper you want to add, then drill some holes around it and use zipties to hold the topper on
      Good luck! I hope that can help some x

    Is there a way to put a topper on a large fish tank?

    • @PetConnectionInternational
      @PetConnectionInternational  10 місяців тому

      You can build a platform for it to sit on, this is how I made mine: ua-cam.com/video/1d79Ixfw1ZQ/v-deo.html 🙂

    Hey pet connection international
    Both of my gerbils like to stay on one of their platforms and stare into space. Is that normal for them?

    • @PetConnectionInternational
      @PetConnectionInternational  2 роки тому +1

      Mine do that sometimes too, or sometimes they're little creepers and just stare at the humans 😅 so I wouldn't worry about it unless they're not moving at all or not taking food 🙂

    Where did you get the play pen? We need something like that, but haven’t seen anything that doesn’t have holes in it that they could easily run through.

      Lol just saw the link in your description :)

    • @PetConnectionInternational
      @PetConnectionInternational  2 роки тому +1

      Well it would seem my work here is done 😅 just make sure you use the stoppers that come with it as well as the cable ties, there's little gaps in the corners of the panels that gerbils can easily poke their noses through and start chewing (I learned the hard way), they also don't bother trying to chew or escape as long as they have a way home, so that's also worth mentioning 🙂

  • @VelociDew
    @VelociDew 2 роки тому +1

    I'm just wondering, how did you get a hole in your cage that allows the gerbils to walk down to the digging box, did the cage come with a hole?

    • @PetConnectionInternational
      @PetConnectionInternational  2 роки тому +1

      I made an "adapter" platform to make the savic XL cage topper fit on a large storage tub, you can see how I made it here: ua-cam.com/video/1d79Ixfw1ZQ/v-deo.html ☺️

      @@PetConnectionInternational it's normal meadow grass

    • @PetConnectionInternational
      @PetConnectionInternational  Рік тому

      Well my concern would be that with commercial hay it's often dust extracted and had fungal spores extracted, as well as gone through a number of processes to prevent as many parasites and bacteria as possible. With homemade hay it's much harder to do these processes effectively and it means there's a higher risk of something that could be harmful. So I wouldn't recommend it personally, I think it's safer to go with a reputable hay producer with rigorous quality control and checks. But if you really wanted to I'd suggest at least drying it in the oven so that it's heat treated to help get rid of at least some pathogens and ensure its thoroughly dried to limit fungal growth, and take a look at some home dust extraction methods, there'd still be a risk though, but it's up to you. It's not risky enough that I'd say never ever do it, but also not safe enough that I'd feel comfortable recommending it if that makes sense

    UPDATE: I realised I was converting litres to imperial gallons, 250 litres is around 66 US liquid gallons 🙂
