Just a heads up ,here where I live we have a shop that rebuilds alternators for around 50 bucks and even offer higher amp options for the rebuild ,might be worth looking into
I have an Accord wagon. 1997 5-spd. Super rare. You can't get a 1996-1997 Accord EX wagon in 5-spd. Only the LX model. You could get the 94-95 EX in 5-spd though.

I always pull the alternator from the top. The trick is you unbolt and move the brake master cylinder out of the way slightly. It makes it a 10-20 minute job usually.
You could look into getting the alternator rebuilt also keep up the great work I always enjoy watching your channel and seeing parts be pulled and cars being saved
I own a accord wagon it's a sohc f22b they Are fun af and amazing road trip cars sadly I'm looking to swap it for a 93 sedan teg as my wagon needs to much work and parts are to hard to find here in nz
You should of considered making a video about rebuilding said alternator, i think that could of been fun. they are extremely easy to rebuild. if the bearings sound good replace the brushes and you can usually get quite a bit more mileage out of them
How I diagnose an alternate is by starting the car and unplugging the battery while the car is running, if when you unplug the battery and the car turns off then the alternator is bad, if the car stays on while you unplug the battery then the alternator is working fine
Your window switch might be fine, on my s13 it was the window relay in the door that was failing. I re-soldered the connections on the board, been almost 10 years now and it never failed again.

I had power steering oil leak on my car. Oil was dripping to the alternator and everything was okay. When i fixed the oil leak the alternator broke in about 2 days. I bought another alternator from junk car. It was oily too. I put it in the car and it broke in 2 days like that old alternator :D. I think the alternator was addicted to the oil :D :D :D
1:1 auto maintenance and 1/10 drifting, what more could you ask for. Makin me want to pull out my tt01 and tc3 and tc4 now and look for a spot to practice in

Not sure if it’s different for sedans but you don’t have to pull the alternator out from the bottom. It can be pulled from the top with some finesse

Sometimes it's a little risky in the rust belt, but here in north Georgia it's pretty safe to do.

I own a accord wagon it's a sohc f22b they Are fun af and amazing road trip cars sadly I'm looking to swap it for a 93 sedan teg as my wagon needs to much work and parts are to hard to find here in nz
You should of considered making a video about rebuilding said alternator, i think that could of been fun.
they are extremely easy to rebuild. if the bearings sound good replace the brushes and you can usually get quite a bit more mileage out of them

How I diagnose an alternate is by starting the car and unplugging the battery while the car is running, if when you unplug the battery and the car turns off then the alternator is bad, if the car stays on while you unplug the battery then the alternator is working fine

Your window switch might be fine, on my s13 it was the window relay in the door that was failing.
I re-soldered the connections on the board, been almost 10 years now and it never failed again.

Mike! the b series alternators are interchangeable you just have to wire in the plug for whatever alternator you end up using.

I had power steering oil leak on my car. Oil was dripping to the alternator and everything was okay. When i fixed the oil leak the alternator broke in about 2 days. I bought another alternator from junk car. It was oily too. I put it in the car and it broke in 2 days like that old alternator :D. I think the alternator was addicted to the oil :D :D :D
