A lot better than in The Netherlands. I bought a 2005 Citroen C1 three years ago as my first car. I was 26 then and insurance started with €58 a month. So ~720 a year for one of the widespread available, lightest and tiniest cars we can buy and a not being around the age of 20. I did an insurance test by lowering my age and for a 20 y/o it would already be €107 per month. With each damage free year, we get cheaper insurance, but I often envy the cheap British insurance and road taxes compared to here.

Definitely more Ben on the channel.
I wish I'd had access to a ramp, a dack dack, gearbox jack and some sponsors when I first started wrenching on cars, you lucky boy.
TDC and ATG are quickly becoming my favourite channels, sorry AA
Think it's nice you left his mistakes in, shows what it is genuinely like starting out on cars. I've worked on a fair share of cars and I still make the mistakes shown in this video. Props to Ben for digging in and getting involved.
I hope you guys can find a way to integrate another video every week, I think going from 4 to 8 videos a month will lead to huge growth. Thanks for the great video lads, also Ben was fantastic.
Fair play to Ben, we need more young car guys like him, he’s got a great attitude! I’d love a cruise with him
Glad I found this channel. Have spent a few hours binging everything! Top work chaps, subscribed!
This would make an amazing series for you guys. Viewers / fans give you how much money they have to buy a project car (they give you what they like and dislike or even buy the car with them) and then you teach and mentor them on their first ever day of working on their own projects. I’m sure companies would be dying to get involved with free parts to get their names out there with your side of UA-cam. Could even do it weekly! More likely monthly. It would be great for us beginner
Mega episode, mega little car, and what a fantastic CHOOM noise!
Also, Ben's an absolute natural on camera, I think this duo could become a trio...
Ben's living my dream. Most I've ever done is change a bulb, and change a radio on a Pug. I've wanted an 182 to mod for years, definitely going to enjoy this series!
21:03 - Man, the bit about "you've now hurt it; it's done," is so relatable. That first big dent or scratch that you look at every time you get in the car. But once it's done, it's done. don't have to worry about it happening anymore. lol
TDC is the best channel. I love this content and awesome to put a smile on the face of someone new to modifying!
Wish I'd been brought into the fold this way.
Ben’s a natural and you two were like proud dads. Brilliant.
Well thats it, Ben now moves in front of camara and does all of the car fixin' and you boys can just relax! I was impressed with some of his decisions, taking the oil drain pan to the oil drain was great and the use of the jack for the coil over install, great job. He had great people to watch, he saw all your mistakes and learned from them, LOL.
this was actually very entertaining to watch someone be introduced into doing car things
Definitely one of my favourite episodes of any car channel! Seeing Ben's reaction was so lovely! He should be your third! The three of you are a great trio
Brilliant video, thoroughly enjoyed the nostalgia element of it and Ben is a natural in front of the camera. More hot hatches please!
First time watching your channel and it's the most enjoyment I've had watching a car program since the old top gear. Great job guys.
From one Ben to another congratulations much deserved for all the work you do behind the scenes. 🎉😁
