From a plus size (24-26) 30 year old lady who loves clothing and doesn't believe in pants using her husband's UA-cam account to leave a (hopefully) helpful comment! Online shopping is my bestie. My size is almost never in store in things I like. I had to learn what size I wear in what stores/brands but once I figured that out, I can buy whatever. Never buy anything full price ever. Pretty much everywhere I'm about to name runs sales all the time (except Walmart). Torrid is fun for more "mature"-ish fashion. Lately they have been leaning towards florals which isn't MY favorite personally, but it's okay. I find they have some really good dress options (I actually got my wedding dress here! It wasn't white though - it was all lacy and black and knee length and fluffy so I can wear it all the time!) I personally hate their leggings and find them to be over priced. Hot Topic. This is my personal favorite place for clothing. They are owned by the same company as Torrid so the sizing is usually the same/similar. I know a lot of people think Hot Topic is just like emo/scene or pop culture, but they actually have a lot of really fun cute stuff. I've got some really pretty more formal feeling tea/garden style dresses and also a lot of really fun skirts. Really great place to shop if you are into pop culture stuff (Disney or Sanrio) but also if you want black or more of a like cottagecore/whimsically frolic type vibe. Walmart. Sounds crazy but they are pretty size inclusive and surprisingly their stuff holds up pretty well in my experience. One of the only places I shop in person and just get what strikes me. I like them best for camis/undershirts, leggings (probably go a size down usually or they fit weird), cardigans, and sweaters. Mod Cloth. Not as good as they used to be, but not too bad. Really good for more like retro style clothing. Sizing can sometimes be a bit weird but it's usually okay. Never ever buy anything not on sale though because ouch, those prices. They have a lot of like Ms. Frizzle type prints for things which is super fun I think. Old Navy. Ideally try things on in person because their fit can be weird. Love their camis/undershirts and fleece lined leggings for warmth (I genuinely don't own a pair of pants anymore). Their normal leggings are fine but more expensive than Walmart and not any better. Old Navy is also really great for basics in general if you're just sort of trying to start from scratch and need solid colors and such. Lane Bryant. Sort of like Torrid's mom? It's definitely less pop culture-y and more classic timeless stuff, but less so in recent years. I don't shop here often but I do have one lace skirt from genuinely almost a decade ago. I THINK that's probably all the useful information I have so hopefully it helps you/someone. Honestly I think the best fashion clothing advice is to just wear what makes you feel joy. For me that's skirts and lace and flowy sleeves and bright colors. I either want to look like a forest fairy, Ms. Frizzle, or a 5 year old who got to dress herself for the first time. But even with all my crazy patterns and colors I work in a professional office environment in a conservative climate and I'm 100% acceptable AND I'm happy and comfortable! I really hope you get ice soon because I'd be super cranky, too! Warm water is the WORST. PS. Me and my husband are about to start a sourdough adventure because of you and how accessible you've made it. We love your honesty and realness - makes the whole idea seem more feasible!
Tip… put a container of water in the garage. It is cold enough outside to make it ice cold, even without the ice. Also, put the first Saturday of February on next year’s calendar for family fun - Ice Cream for Breakfast Day.
I love to wear sun dresses in the summer. I have the same feeling of hating all my clothes. Depression is hard enough without adding seasonal Depression to it as well and last month (January) did seem like the absolute longest January evvvvvvvvvvver

Compared to your Winter my Aussie winter would be considered Summer but I get really depressed during it, getting out for a girls night, dinner with friends, backyard fires have helped. Can't recommend any brands but go with some colour, wear a skirt over the leggings, a bright long warm dress that you can wear over layers, a jacket thats so bright you feel slightly uncomfortable wearing but you like it so who cares? I cut up ratty old t-shirts, singlets, pjs and use them to clean up gross stuff then toss them in the bin (keep some in the car).
I keep emergency ice cube trays in my freezer. I have teens and they sometimes will empty the entire freezer ice bin into a cooler and leave and I refuse to do without ice for a single drink if I can help it.

When I ordered from BloomChic it was nothing but extremely thin and cheap things. I have to wear something underneath just to wear the shirts and any small movement and the thing is wrinkling up.

I'm an ice fiend too. Freeze water in a water bottle. What I have done is take a plastic water bottle and take out about an 1/2 an inch to an inch of water and freeze it then cut the bottle open and put your big ice chunk in your mug fill rest of way with your water

If you have depression there are foods that help combat it... and taking folic acid helps .. Last year before your trip you bought a lot of pretty outfits and then before fall you also got some pretty tops .. sweaters, jeans, jumpers and pants... !?

I make my own ice in ice trays. Old school. My water must also be as cold as Antarctica. We’re renters so we don’t get a say on which fridge we have so our fridge is from the 90s with no ice maker. Lol! Having said that, you can make your own ice until your new fridge arrives.
I get 90% of my clothes from Amazon or Nordstrom. Amazon clothes are usually a good quality and priced nicely. I know u shop at Old Navy and in my opinion Amazon is usually More durable.

I dont trust myself in legging anymore😂😂 Since Ive become sick & had to give up working, I have gained 50 lbs. Medication and inactivity is a terrible mix. I used to be a teacher and dresses top notch everyday, now I hate to look at myself in any of my clothes. I was genuinely suprised this past summer and fall however, that JC Penny of all places had some amazing clothes in plus size. They have gone for a much younger , hipper look, no more Grandma clothes. I love cold sholder tops and found a bunch there and tons of other things... Id say try them. I hope you find some goodies soon. You are amazing just the way you are❤❤

(Not the overalls even though I LOVE THE LOOK on you and I would love to rock them myself but with Irritable Bladder Syndrome I'd def pee in those before I got to the toity) - I used to thrift like a mofo but I'm kinda too disabled to do it anymore, I would need 1) a car and 2) an electric scooter thingy to do so... but I LOVE your lewks and would TOTALLY buy some of your castoffs from you!!!!
Get you a package of silicone ice cubes, they're reusable and don't water down juice or anything and you just need a freezer that freezes for them to work. I have ones that change color when they're frozen and turn clear when they melt so you can tell when they're happy ice. 🫶🏻

Check if your ice maker has a cleaning function and clean it with 1/4 vinegar to 4 cups water and maybe it'll work again.
In a pinch, you can freeze water in little Tupperware containers. The ice cubes will be giant, but they will fit in your cup and keep it cold. ❤
