    So I’m super new to jump rope. I’m on day 2. The first day I had a super cheap jump rope and had a hell of a time trying to learn this sport. Well I got my crossrope in the mail last night, and I didn’t think spending $80 on a rope would help. Well day 2 was a huge improvement. No doubt I have a long way to go. But a good quality rope helps out a ton. Thanks crossrope!!!!!

    I’m a beginner and I really appreciate your helpful tutorials on the basics of jumping rope. I’ve been jumping-or trying to jump since February. Your one pound rope was a birthday present to myself and I like the feedback from that weight(although hitting myself in the head with the rope isn’t one of my favorite moves).

    High fives, Dave!
    This tutorial may be basic, but when it comes to jumping rope basic is foundational.
    If you continue in this vein you this will be a tutorial series worthy of your product line.

    Thank you for the insight. Got my ropes last night. Got the Get Lean set. Cuz I'm a old fat man. Tried jumping. Could make 3 or 4 jumps then it seems the rope is getting to my feet after I've jumped and touch back down. Timing is off. Should I get the 1lb. rope to help with timing then move to the lighter ropes? Thanks again for the help. Oh, by the way. I'm 60 yrs. old and hate being over grown.

    Ok, so I am 56 years old and I thought I was in fairly good shape. Just 30 seconds with the 1/2# rope was very tiring...but beneficial. A question I have would be I think I am putting in an extra jump. It is hard to explain. Should I record myself to see if this is happening?
    (A note: On your site there is a "where did you hear about us" statement and one group you didn't include for UA-camr's are the WeJumpRope guys. This is where I figured out whom to buy from.)

      I think I know what you mean. I do the same thing. I just started jumping (that's why I'm watching this video haha) and I don't know I have trouble moving the rope as fast as my jump would need it to, so I'm jumping over the rope, then when it's kinda on top of me I do another jump (without jumping over the rope) and then the rope is beneath my feet for the next jump. So it is kinda over the rope, then a quick one without, and again over the rope. But I haven't found a solution yet... I jump waaaay too high when I try to move the rope faster and also do mistakes quicker. It's also a lot more exhausting... So maybe I'll just try to adjust my jumping rhythm to the pace of the rope now, rather than trying to adjust the rope pace to my jumping pace :)

    Wish you would make more videos Dave. You had the BEST tutorial on boxer step. I could not figure it out for the life of me, but you broke it down so easily and nicely. Your tutorials are so informative and I miss them.
    Do you think your first gen ropes will last for a couple more weeks? I already have the full get fit set but I want the premium first gen set just for collection cause your company makes such great quality products.

    • @Crossrope
      @Crossrope  6 років тому +1

      Yes you can! With enough practice! Try looking in the mirror while jumping so you can see where your feet are. Also try staying low to the ground so you are not moving around as much. Hope that helps!

    This is a great video!, and I have 2 problems trying to learn how to jump rope: I am trying to use a heavy rope, as suggested, but I am not sure if it is the right length for me(I am about 5'10" to 5'11";
    I am also not sure I start the right way getting the rope going for the initial jump. I would welcome any advice! Thank you!
