As usual a nice sane person EDC. Medical stuff is nice to have and I keep it in my bag but in terms of keeping stuff on me, it’s usually just a couple pairs of nitrile gloves rolled up in a back pocket. Takes up no space and realistically has given me enough to start helping every time I’ve needed to do so. Might want to think about that back pocket wallet though. I stopped doing that a long time ago and my god it helps your back out. YMMV.
My solution to the back issues is having stuff in both back pockets: my EDC at work (retail) is knife, measuring tape, and small screwdriver in right back pocket, and gloves in left back pocket. So when I sit down I am a little bit elevated but balanced
I can respect the Raccoon City PD choice to carry a Browning Hi-Power while you're working as a cop in a major city as well as carrying a lighter with you Just In Case™. My man's out here being an IRL Resident Evil character and I'm here for it
O man, the Browning Hi Power is such a quality pistol. I have a Sig P365 Tac, 1of the mags holds 15 rounds, the other two hold 12. It's a nice firearm and a hell of a lot of rounds for a tiny compact.

Being in high school in the ‘90s, I have an affinity for the cargo shorts. My wife finally gave up trying to change me years ago. She just knows when Union Bay shorts go on sale at Kohl’s to buy a couple pairs lol
I mirror just about everything you carry. I’m retired several years now. One thing I would add is a Speed Strip. Easy to slip in a pocket. When I wear jeans it resides, concealed in my watch pocket.
The belt link doesnt work anymore but that style of belt is called a Ratchet belt if anyone wants to know. Amazon has some great ones and I use it daily.
I have to say, I've never looked at anyone's belt buckle unless it was a big Western buckle. I've heard mixed things about the durability of Kore's belts. Nexbelt is similar but supposed to be slightly better quality. There are sealed lighter bodies that take a Zippo insert if you find your fuel evaporates before you can use it. I was hoping to hear more about that nickel/chrome Hi-Power pictured in the thumbnail still taking care of business. I'd also like to know what kind of waterproof Salomons those are. I've been looking for waterproof sneakers I can wear every day and it's hard to find any that aren't trail running shoes.
I find myself carrying my 340pd now more and more. It’s very comfortable to carry in the waist and the curve of the handle doesn’t bother my tactical gut! My question is? Do you feel the disadvantage of only carrying 5 shots? When here in Miami anytime there’s video of an armed robbery or drive by. Glock with a 30round magazine. Switch optional! Seems to be always the weapon of choice. Sometimes my thinking is the 340 is inadequate for the Draco/glocks of 2023?
I’m not a cop, atleast not yet, I’m still in college working on my CJ degree. Never been in a gunfight, but I don’t think 5 rounds is inadequate in all but the most extreme circumstances. If you return fire at a drive by shooter, I doubt they would stop. They are cowards not looking for a fight. That being said, I carry a Glock with 17 rounds and a backup 19 round magazine.
A revolver has less points of failure. In situations where the fight is close in, it can be pressed in to people w/o going out of battery. It also won't bind on clothes as easily as a moving slide. A misfire is cleared by pulling trigger. A grappling fight on the ground, a revolver is a better choice (also if shooting through a gunport - see the Brinks guards). They used to teach police how to hold their semi-auto in battery during a close-in encounter and manually cycle the slide. But it's 2 handed operation that is unnecessary with a revolver. On going debate as to whether BUG should be a revolver for a SHTF fight or a semi-auto that uses same mags as duty pistol.
I understand your choice of flashlight, however at today's prices you can get a good, small, Streamlight that is adjustable for brightness but provides a much better beam for about $35 and you can carry it the same place and same way. Also, I understand your choice of knife, however at today's prices you can get a similar knife in a number of brands that has a window breaker on the butt end which would add to your capability but not add to the number of items you're carrying or really increase your money spent by much.
Only new tech thing that wouldn't be good for camping but is great for city is smart watch. My samsung watch works as a phone and credit card when I don't have a phone. Not understanding the carry of the J-frame where you said it gives you approximate “9mm” performance, yet it’s only 5 rounds. Why not then carry something like a Glock 43 which is true “9mm,” holds SEVEN 9mm rounds and is no larger than that j-frame??? Do you carry speed loaders? 5 shots isn’t enough these days. My department made a training video decades ago of an off duty reserve that got into a gun fight with two armed robbery suspects and him with a j-frame. His 5 year old daughter sadly was with him and one suspect shot her, knowing that his attention would take his focus off of him. Well he went through 5 shots faster than a a lightning strike.
Check the performance of 9mm out of such small guns. A light 357 load gets me to the same performance that I would get out of a 5" 9mm. What I trade for that performance is capacity. So I'm more ready for the 99% of self defense situations and less prepared for the (1% or less really) of situations that would require more shots. I'm comfortable with that trade off
Brother, when “Off duty,” stay “off duty.” Don’t get involved in anything, unless bad guys start making people get on the floor. You know what I’m say’n there. Otherwise, it’s about being just a good witness.
You Americans should be very grateful that you can carry a gun and use it in self defense, in my country Sweden you can only obtain a pistol if you are a member of a shooting club and thats really hard to become a member of, but you still cannot use it to defend yourself, if you carry it loaded in a holster, minimum 2 years in prison and if you do use it to defend yourself you will lose your permit and be charge with murder or manslaughter, So the public sercurity officers and police use the baton very often, The PR-24 cannot be use (the best baton) but we have very high quality of Swiss and german batons with push buttons. Your own gun is the reason for the tourniquet FOR YOURSELF good brother! We can generally live without a bandage when wounded. But if we need a tourniquet we can die so quickly, before any help can arrive.
At some point you have to live your life. Too much stuff will weigh you down and just be aggravating. Only so much pocket space. Everything is a compromise.
Am sure he knows first aid and get's updated on it every year from his job as a PO and could make his own tourniquet out of nothing MacGyver style! also to each his own on spare ammo and how good of shot they are pretty sure one .357 defense round and the other person would be down and out of gun fight pretty damn fast

I would like to see what underwear 🩲 you have on while reviewing you’re EDC?

A gun - but no tourniquet. That’s a bit foolish on its face isn’t it? No spare ammo?
Carry “A gun, a knife, spare ammo and a tourniquet.”
