It was plausible Alexis would have kept her love child a shameful secret from the family; it didn't make sense she kept another of her children with Blake a secret after years of trying to manipulate herself back into Blake's life.
I like your idea. If Amanda was Grimes' daughter, then they could have written her going on a rampage against Blake and Alexis. That would have made her sleeping with Dex vicious, rather than ridiculous.
Amanda should have been officially Roger Grimes daughter, which is how I think of her. She was presented as Blake's daughter only because of Fallon's absence.
