    He was absolutely brilliant! It's impossible to think that he was only 23 - he was SO mature and interesting and funny, but also really, really sensible. He was also extremely intelligent. What a truly amazing, nice and incredibly talented man. I've never seen him be unpleasant in an interview. He speaks up for himself, and will disagree with the interviewer, but is never rude or unpleasant - even when the interviewer is being totally rude and horrble. I can't believe he's dead. He was just the best ever.

    George was crazy intelligent, both emotionally, sexually and socially, he was a really clued up guy and considering he's only 23 in this, how he comes across is quite incredible. His music was game changing, he had his own sound that still remains so unique. I miss him enormously, and continue to collect his records.

    Even with fame beyond belief and everything that comes with it, George made mistakes like we all do. Living your entire life in a fishbowl had to be unbearable. Yet his lyrics touch your soul, his music takes me away to a sweet peaceful place. I can never repay you George, you helped me out of a couple lows and for that i thank you.

    When you think he was just 23 years old here, it is really quite something for his age to have this sort of self-awareness and thoughtfulness - I know many do but a heck of a lot of people at that age have none of this self awareness - of his insecurities and where they stem from, his confidence in his writing talent, admitting his feelings about the video he didn't care for, etc.

      Hi Debra, Yes Debra, George was very, very smart. However, I believe he was always one step ahead of them. If George was alive today, I swear his head would pop off his shoulders for many reasons. George was always a decent human being. He did the best he could with the truth. His talent was beyond words. And his head, heart & soul went into every he created & believed in. A rare quality today! There are some out there, however, in a selfish way, I too wish he was still here in the flesh! You know, George is my salvation in a way. His music tells us what a real man is, again through his heart in every note syllable, story, he otters. He seems to give me solace when I'm sad like he too had those feelings. So I don't feel alone, I somehow feel peace. When I'm happy his music makes me want to dance, celebrate, & party with him! And, when I want or need something special It's George that I go to! George was so human, & he didn't hide It. That's why to me GEORGE IS MY LITTLE PIECE OD HEAVEN. The best kind of person, Humble & kind, no matter what! My ANGEL!

    I saw wham at Leicester and I can guarantee both George and Andrew kissed shuttlecocks, rubbed them over their bodies and used rackets to hit them as far as they could into the audience, and some did end up in Georges shorts

    • @ChloeR-vt4bh
      @ChloeR-vt4bh 2 місяці тому +4

      @ItsComingRome79. Firstly, it’s quite obvious that George is joking about not being able to walk. Secondly, he clearly states in this interview that it was a girl a little older than him that he lost his virginity to. George said in many interviews that he was confused about his sexuality and felt he was bisexual. Long after he came out, he said he had lots of sexual relationships with women. He also always maintained that his girlfriend at the time Kathy Jeung was a genuine relationship. He had no reason to lie at that stage. He stated that it was only at the age of 27 when he met Anselmo Feleppa, that he realised what real love was. This made him realise he was gay rather than bisexual as he said although he was physically attracted to women, he did not connect emotionally in the same way, even though he had tried. That’s the reason that ultimately he accepted he was gay and no longer had relationships with women.

    • @hutch1197
      @hutch1197 Місяць тому

      @@Belfastboi He dated women in public and his lyrics about relationships were always about women. All of his videos featured him making love to or dating women. So, although, he didn't say "I'm straight", he certainly put that image out there. You have to remember; this was nearly 40 years ago when being "outed" could end your career.

      @@hutch1197preaching to the choir bud. He was seen in public with women he didn’t date them I’m just saying it’s awful that his sexuality was scrutinized and in the videos he doesn’t have to portray himself he is playing fantasty and no one did it better than him. A gay man is still attractive to women. He was aware of his sexuality and I loved him for that. ❤

      Another time when he was on Michael Parkinson's show & he asked GM about Andrew's role in the band & GM said that Andrew was just juvenile fun both of them together that's why Andrew was there.
      I believed that's why Andrew wrote the book to set the record straight, even though Andrew said that he is not one to set record straight.
