I will never understand people who don't see the beauty in reptiles, especially geckos. Of course I have a bias toward yellow brindle cresties (Noggin) but your geckos are gorgeous creatures. Please let us see more of them!❤❤❤
Me too! I can’t get enough of them. And I believe they’re 12 inches wide, 12 inches tall and 12 inches deep. Basically a perfect square. Ideally you’d like their tank to be a little taller when they’re full grown and breeding. But this seems like a good size for now while these guys are smaller. I was tempted to move the tiny one to a smaller tote, but he’s been eating so I’m going to just monitor and adjust as I go
QUESTION Noggin is gradually recovering from a nervous breakdown. As I knew was bound to happen eventually, she got out of her enclosure one night when I thought it was locked but actually had one door free. She was gone for two days before my caregiver found her on the floor crawling back toward my bed. She wasn't injured, and the cats are very careful to treat her gently, especially Sugar with whom she has struck up a friendship. I think they regard her as a miniature hairless cat, just like I'm a stupid slow giant hairless cat. After she came back, she hid out in her cave and only came out to eat. I let her do that for two months, hoping she would get over it. She didn't, and I realized that if I didn't teach her not to be afraid of being outside her tank she might spend her whole life shut in a tank. (When she's outside her enclosure she's on my bed within arm's reach.) I started bringing her out by putting one finger under her chin so she has to crawl onto my hand, a method I learned from one of your videos. I never have to pick her up. Anyway, after a few days of coming outside for a few minutes every day, she began to venture outside her cave and hung out in various places in her tank. She is still frightened of being outside her tank, tries to scamper back into it the whole time she's out. I don't keep her out for more than a very few minutes because she's so stressed, and I have a sort of ramp she can use to get back inside without my help. She's barely full grown and I want her to have a happy, interesting life. Before she lit out for parts unknown, she was utterly fearless, no self-protective instinct at all. I think that for the first time in her life she was afraid of something, maybe just of being lost. I don’t think she's afraid of me, she frequently reaches for my fingers with her paws and likes to keep her tail wrapped around my finger when she's moving from one place to another and while she's out she prefers to stay on my arms and hands. Sometimes she wants to be in her tank and still hold onto my finger with her tail. She's not afraid of the cats either, she and Sugar actually boop noses. They communicate somehow. Maybe what scared her was getting lost and hungry. Do you think I'm handling this well? I would be more than grateful for your opinion and any suggestions you may have. ❤❤❤ from Linda and Noggin P.S. I would love to see a video about the different personalities of your geckos. I don't think people understand how complex and interesting they are.
I think you’re doing great with her care! I would say, typically geckos don’t feel safe when they’re just in an open space (like a bed or floor). They typically dwell in trees so I think holding her would make her more comfortable. So I think you’re doing everything right from that perspective. As far as being scared or traumatized I don’t think she would have any issues honestly. Nothing more than the typical crested gecko being a little nervous being out. And honestly crested geckos are so derpy (I always say they have 1 brain cell because they aren’t very intelligent from my experience haha 😂😂) that I don’t even think they realize what’s happening at times. I think you’re handling well and doing everything right! I’ve heard of cats going after fish, geckos and small animals in the past, so just be aware of that but it looks like you’re doing good! Don’t worry about any sort of her being scared. I’m sure it’s just the normal survival instincts of the geckos. It all sounds like normal behavior to me!
I have different ones honestly. Paper towel rolls, lay boxes/ humid hides, coconut hides, snake hides, lots of different options haha lol. I’m sure I’m forgetting a lot
Let me know what you guys think of the new geckos!
Good looking gargoyles

Thanks so much! I really appreciate the support! I’m glad you liked it!
Poppy is such a cute name!! And the baby crested’s are so adorable!
I thought so too! And thank you very much! I can’t wait to see what they end up looking like some day
Really like the Eurys - tried to get one here in the UK, wanted a grown on female to start with, but they are rare
They’re hard to come by here unless you know who to go to. I don’t know any UK breeders I’m sorry! They’re truly beautiful
That one has such cool patterns on his tail I never seen before 😎
Right?!
I like the tiger markings
I do too!
Obsessed with your Chameleon geckos! What size tubs do you have them in?

so what you like to give your cresties for hides ???

How do you heat their tubs ....
I don’t. My reptile room is 72-79 at all times
I just got a baby Lilly should I leave water in his terrarium?
I would just use a water bottle cap and fill it halfway
Ok thanks
@@Hardwhite716no problem!!
