- Waikiki Beach is one of the most popular and busiest beaches in Hawaii, attracting millions of visitors every year. The beach is approximately two miles long and stretches from the Ala Wai Canal to Diamond Head. There are many hotels, restaurants, and shops along the beachfront, making it a popular spot for tourists to stay and enjoy the sun, sand, and surf.
The name "Waikiki" means "spouting water" in Hawaiian, and the area was once a playground for Hawaiian royalty. Today, the beach is famous for its excellent surfing conditions, and it is home to the Duke Kahanamoku Statue, which honors the legendary Hawaiian surfer and Olympic gold medalist.
Waikiki Beach is also known for its vibrant nightlife, with many bars and nightclubs located nearby. In addition to surfing, visitors can enjoy other water activities such as swimming, snorkeling, and paddleboarding.

Great footage, but it would be nice if you told us which hotels you were walking by for future reference, because some beaches are much better than others. I’ve never been and want to stay on a great beach area.

At about the 38.00 mark you can see where the screen is put up for outdoor movies; Waikiki Sunset on the Beach movie nights, such wonderful memories as I watched many movies on those nights. Thank you so much for this walk along Waikiki Beach from beginning to almost the end. I saw so many changes as I've done that exact same walk from mid-1974 until late 2008 when I moved away from Hawaii. Hey, don't laugh but I started hearing the East Coast calling me back. Mahalo, Bro!

I lived in Waikiki for ten years. They have iolani and punahou schools for the kids. All I did was walked around Ala Moana and diamond head. It’s a lot different than California where I am now.
Let's go to the Bahamas someday! There is even a place there called "Paradise Island."
